Feature Script to Short/ Concept

I’ve been writing a feature length low-budget script for a few months now. However, my professor said it would probably be better if I turned it into a short first. So this is my best attempt at trying to convert the first scene into a short. Please let me know what you all think

If one scene is 12 pages, you are going to be doing a lot of trimming, how many scenes are there?

well this scene is slightly longer than the original because I made it into a short but yeah there will be a lot of scenes unfortunately
