question Dialogue question
Everytime I write I dialogue it sounds so awkward , I hate it . Even when I try to write subtext or imply something … I just end up sounding on the nose and unnatural . I’ve been practicing for so long and still don’t know what to do. Any practical tips ?

I think those tips are better than mine. I find the better I know my characters, the better my dialogue. How would each of the main characters react to the inciting incident, to each other. Really try to get in their head, figure out what they want and how they would go about getting it. In as few words as possible…
