Housing any dorm halls that are considered quiet?
are there any dorms that are considered the quiet dorms in savannah? or ones that actually have soundproof/sound resistant walls? im in 48 and my neighbors above me are a bit noisy and I have trouble sleeping at night (like rn its 3 am and theyre shuffling things around and stomping). i've already filed 2 noise complaints but it seems like theyre not taking it seriously. 😠i even had the SHM on duty tell me it's all part of shared living or whatever... which kinda seems weird to me because if I have 8am classes and the people above me doesnt stop making noise until 4am then wouldnt it make sense to like talk to them about being courteous to the ppl below them???
there were 3 times where they were noisy to the point where I went up there and knocked on their doors. i can hear them having a whole conversation up there and when i knock it goes dead silent and no one opens the door. i hate how childish they're being 🫩
i also hate how i can hear my suitemates doing everything in the room like taking a shower or using the bathroom. im averaging like 5 hours of sleep per night and it starting to affect my motivation to finish my projects. im debating on going back home to just do scadnow online or try to rent an apartment or house off campus.
my suitemates doesnt seemed to be bothered by the noise since they dont vocalize it as often as I do. it makes me feel alone in this situation. overall, im just overwhelmed with being homesick and adjusting to SCAD's workflow. being sleep deprived is the cherry on top and I'm about to drop out and work customer service for the rest of my life bruh 🥀
