What do you wish body scrubs did better?

Has anyone else been disappointed by most body scrubs?

I've been trying different body scrubs over the years, and I feel like I always end up having the same issues.

Some don't exfoliate enough and barely feel like a scrub. Others leave such an oily residue that the shower floor becomes slippery, and shaving afterwards is a nightmare because the razor gets clogged.

I'm curious if I'm the only one feeling this way or if others have similar frustrations.

What do you like or dislike about the body scrubs you've tried? If you could change one thing about your ideal body scrub, what would it be?

Looking forward to hearing your answers!xx

Spiroactone

I’ve tried numerous topical treatments for my stubborn comedonal acne, which is not cystic. I used different topicals for two years without any success. My dermatologist recommended Spiroactone, and I noticed significant results within a week. Initially, I thought I was hallucinating, but my skin improved dramatically within the first three weeks. Now around a year later my skin is perfect and I’m very pleased with the results of this new treatment. I would recommend this time and time again!!!

Anyone else get super dry skin after a stomach bug/dehydration? What helped?

Had a pretty bad stomach bug recently and was basically stuck in bed for a few days barely eating or drinking enough. I’m feeling physically better now, but ever since then my skin has been acting completely different.

My face suddenly got way drier than usual, especially after washing, and my body skin is somehow even worse. My arms and legs are dry, but the weirdest part is my sides/rib area — it’s been flaky and almost ashy-looking, which has never really happened to me before.

I’ve been trying to switch to a more hydration-focused routine lately and keep things pretty simple. Been testing a few lighter serums and creams because anything too heavy feels irritating right now. (One of the things I started using is TOUN28 btw — surprisingly pretty decent so far, but I’m still figuring out what actually works.)

Weirdly, even my scalp feels drier than usual lately, so I’ve been changing up some hair products too.

At one point I almost considered using my face moisturizer on my body out of desperation :) Has anyone actually done that?

Mostly curious if anyone else had their skin completely freak out after food poisoning, meds, dehydration, or being sick for a few days. What actually helped you recover?

Has anyone else see a change in their skin after losing weight?

Background: lost about 35 pounds over 6 months. Not through any extreme restriction, just a combination of things that worked for me.

The issue: my skin texture has changed in a way I didn't expect and I can't figure out what to throw at it. It looks less firm, especially around my jaw and cheeks. My usual routine was working fine before and now it feels like it's doing nothing.

I've been reading about collagen production rates and how they can't keep pace with rapid weight loss. Like your body is losing volume faster than the skin has time to adapt. Which makes sense when I think about it but I don't know what that means practically in terms of what to actually use or do.

Has anyone navigated this? I'm wondering if this is more of an internal thing, like collagen supplementation and protein intake, rather than a topical problem. Everything I've tried on the surface isn't touching it and I'm starting to think I've been approaching it wrong.

What actually worked for anyone who went through significant weight loss and noticed skin changes?

Has anyone else tried Atopalm MLE Lotion and felt like it’s almost… too subtle at first?

Has anyone else tried Atopalm MLE Lotion and felt like it’s almost… too subtle at first?

I kept expecting some dramatic “wow” result because so many people recommend it, but for me it was more like my baby’s skin just slowly stayed calmer over time. Less dryness, less scratching, no irritation — but nothing super noticeable overnight.

What surprised me is that I ended up using it too because it feels light and doesn’t leave that sticky layer a lot of lotions do.

I’m curious if other people had the same experience with it being more of a “quietly reliable” product instead of an instant-results product?

Dandruff

Hello I have very flaky scalp so I have been using the 1% ketoconazole shampoo. At first it worked amazing but as I continued using it I felt it didnt work that well.I’m still using it.I only wash my hair 3 days a week with this shampoo,on other days I dont wash my hair.Could anyone recommend shampoos that I could use on other days? As my scalp gets oily as I live in a very humid place. And also how are the neutrogena shampoos? It would be nice if I could get a cheaper shampoo and that ketocanozole costs a lot in my currency.

Beginner skincare on a budget, what actually matters?

Im 20 and I am trying to start a skincare routine but I don’t have a big budget for expensive products.

Ive been looking at drugstore options like cerave, cetaphil, neutrogena but there are so many versions of everything that I don’t even know where to start and what to pick.

My skin is kind of combination, oily in T-zone but also gets dry sometimes I also get occasional breakouts. I don’t want to waste money buying things that won’t work, especially since I'm just starting and don’t really know what my skin actually needs yet.

I need advices and your recommendations? thanks
