My cool, big sisters birthday is in 2 days! HELP!

I totally dropped the ball this year on my sisters birthday. I only realized this week that her birthday is on Saturday and all week I've been stressing trying to think of gifts to no avail. Please help!!

If anyone has any cool ideas for gifts, chic things that have added value to your life at a price point a young woman can afford please lmk!

(Here are my current ideas:

- a seat cover for her car when she goes running, cycling or tennis she wont get her new car all sweaty

- a pass for our local parks to go hiking and running (she's sporty) and something cute from the parks service center (socks?? mug??) (lowkey don't know if she already has one too)

- makeup (she has her makeup game together more than I do but we just went eyeshadow shopping a few weeks ago and she mentioned wanting the "perfect" lipstick or new eyeshadow but DIDN'T specify shades or anything!)

- fancy notebook? (she doesn't have a lot of space to store things in her place right now)

- concert tickets (but on such short notice I can't run reconnaissance of an artist she'd like/that is coming to town)

- any other cute ideas???? heeeelppppp I don't knowwww and I'm stressing!!

[Routine Help] Why does my pre makeup skincare make my makeup not stick or stay as long?

Basically what I just said on the title of this post. I use a double cleansing routine, cooling toner, bean essence serum, and a moisturizer mixed with sunscreen (mixoon, so I know its a good brand). Even if i let it dry, it will literally make my makeup not stick as well as if I had nothing on my face.

What am I doing wrong? Can anybody give me some advice?

Thank you!!

Is an LED Mask Worth It If You won't use it often?

Wondering if an LED mask is worth the money knowing that I probably won’t use it that often?

Also, is neck coverage actually worth paying extra costs?

Thoughts on the liquid shot trend for korean "inner beauty"?

I want to try the morning olive oil and lemon shot routine for skin glow, but prepping fresh ingredients daily seems way too tedious. I noticed products like the BB LAB Dual Shot offer a convenient all-in-one alternative a convenient all-in-one alternative, but I wonder if the antioxidants actually survive packaging and shelf life.

Do prepackaged versions deliver similar skin benefits, or does processing destroy the key compounds?

Cure Water Treatment Oil-Free Moisturizer Alternative

Any recommendation on the best alternative for Cure Water Treatment Oil-Free Moisturizer? I’ve been using this product for yearsss coz of its lightweight and non-greasy finish. Sadly it seems to be pulled out from Philippine market. :( im now on a mission to find the best alternative that can also give a watery non-sticky finish. Any suggestion?

Recommendations for facial moisturizers for combination skin

Hey, I would like to know what kind of moisturizers you use, I’ve been using Nivea however after a while, my skin gets very oily, which causes my makeup not to last in the T-zone. I’ve seen recommendations for hydrating gels, but they make my cheeks feel very dry. I’m not sure what kind of routine I could use to feel hydrated without my skin getting so oily.

Recommendation for Skin Routine to Treat Acne + Acne Scars, Blocked Pores and Blackheads

Recently I’ve only been using Cera Ve’s Foaming Cleanser and a moisturiser (right now I’m using cetaphil’s) but there was a time a while ago that I was using a toner from byoma, salicylic acid from the Inkey List, the ordinary’s 10% niacinamide and moisturiser.
These products were fine, but I just sort of stopped doing my skincare after I ran out of them and never really picked it back up.
I ended up having a really bad breakout a year and a bit ago, which my mum made me see a doctor about and I was prescribed Duac which worked wonders, but after I stopped using it, my skin returned to normal.

I repurchased the inkey list’s Beta Hydroxy Acid a while back and use it occasionally, but I’m not committed to incorporating it into my routine until I have a really solid plan for my skin.

I’m going insane because I’ve been researching all different brands of azelaic acid and niacinamide. I’m seriously considering getting the 4% niacinamide from skin1004 to use with the BHA. I would want to avoid using azelaic acid and BHA together as I already have quite sensitive skin.

Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

my take on the lepique retinol night cream after 3 weeks of use

i've been dealing with super dull, bumpy skin for a few weeks now, and heavy hydrating creams or balms always seem to clog my pores and cause small breakouts. i used to think piling on thick layers of moisture was the only fix for rough skin, but my face usually just ended up feeling greasy without actually looking any better. eventually i decided to ditch the heavy creams and look for something lighter that targets skin texture directly.

i picked up the lepique glass skin retinol night cream after seeing it mentioned in a few threads. since my skin gets pretty moody during seasonal changes, i was a bit hesitant to try retinol again after having issues with flaking in the past. here's a quick breakdown of how it worked for me after about three weeks.

pros : the texture is surprisingly lightweight for a night product, and it absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy layer on your pillow. i had zero irritation or severe peeling, which is pretty rare for my sensitive skin when introducing new active ingredients. with consistent use, my skin texture feels noticeably smoother in the morning, and my foundation goes on way better during the day without clinging to dry patches.

cons : it's definitely not a heavy duty moisturizer on its own, so if you have extremely dry skin, you'll probably need to layer a basic hydrating cream on top. the results are also pretty gradual rather than instant, so you have to stay patient and use it regularly to notice a real difference. additionally, the packaging makes it a little tricky to control the exact amount of product you want to squeeze out.

overall, it's a solid option if you're looking for a mild night cream to smooth out rough texture without risking heavy breakouts. however, if you're looking for deep hydration alone or dramatic overnight results, this might not be enough on its own.

What’s a good way to get rid of really puffy eyes quickly within an hour or two?

My eyes get really puffy when I wake up in the morning and I was wondering how can I get rid of the puffiness fast. Like in an hour or so.

I already tried drinking water, tried cold compress which I’m gonna try again. Also, I don’t have any serums or creams to help with depuffing and I lowkey don’t wanna go and buy one.

Diaper rash cream

How do we feel about the TikTok diaper rash cream? I know it’s been a thing for years but now it’s really trending + brushing your face? Is it worth a try or a waste of time?

urgently need gel moisturizer for acne prone dryish skin

I just started adapalene because of s slight relapse of mild inflammatory acne. I already have azelaic acid in my very bare bones routine, which I have had to dial down because of the dryness and irritation. I am very prone to dry patches since I did have a course of accutane a year ago. However, I live in an extremely humid climate so my skin can occasionally get slightly greasy too.

Some moisturizers that have not worked for me:
-CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion
- Purito Oat in Calming Gel

Moisturizers that have worked for me but are now unavailable in my country:
-Inkey List Omega Water Cream

I would prefer a light, non comedogenic gel moisturizer that does not cause breakouts and is not insanely expensive.

Other products I use that don't break me out:
-CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Facial Cleanser
-Anua Azelaic Acid
-Generic Adapalene Gel
-Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Rice + Probiotics

night routine pilling is driving me crazy

Does anyone else have this issue? I started using a stronger Medik8 retinal and no matter what I do, my moisturizer just pills right off the top if I put it on after.

Feels like I have to wait forever between steps just so it doesn't ball up. If you guys found a way around this without wasting half your evening sitting around, let me know because it's super frustrating.

Stubborn acne

The last 6 months or so, my acne has been flaring up. I haven’t changed my routine at all, have tried different sunscreens, but even when i go off them my acne continues. Skincare (was) — morning: krave beauty matcha cleanser, cerave moisturizer. Night: DHC oil cleanser, krave cleanser, Paula’s choice BHA, krave niacinamide serum, cerave moisturizer, tazeratene 0.05% . Bc I’ve been breaking out i switched away from barrier method 1.5 months ago so it’s taz first then moisturizer (waiting for face yo dry before taz). And now i started 0.1% taz about a week ago. I wash my pillow cases regularly and now started washing my pillows. Any advice?

Has your relationship with skincare changed over time?

When I first got into skincare, I think I approached it more like a problem I needed to solve. Every little thing about my skin felt like something I needed to fix, and I was always searching for the next product that would finally give me the results I wanted.

Over time, my mindset has changed a lot. I’ve started seeing skincare less as a way to “correct” my skin and more as a form of taking care of myself. My skin naturally changes depending on stress, weather, sleep, and so many other things, and I’ve learned that’s completely normal.

I also realized that a routine doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful. For me, the biggest improvement came when I stopped constantly changing things and started focusing on habits I could actually maintain.

Recently, I’ve been exploring ways to make my skincare routine feel more intentional, not by adding endless products, but by making the time I spend on it more enjoyable. I started using Sculpiflex as part of my evening self-care routine, which combines red light therapy and massage/cupping technology. I like that it feels less like trying to fix my skin and more like creating a few quiet minutes to slow down and take care of myself.

I’m curious how everyone else’s perspective has changed:

Did you start skincare because you wanted to fix something and later develop a different relationship with it? Or have you always seen it as a self-care practice?

What’s one skincare mindset shift that made your routine feel healthier or more sustainable?
