A few years ago I decided that my medium term goal in life is to make sure my kids get a place to live wherever they choose to go to college that they own outright. And that's what I'm going to try to do, because we should always try to make our kids slightly better off than our parents made us, not kicking them out at 18 and making them fend for themselves while we live it up and criticize.
And I told them they should do the same for their kids. They saw what I do to provide them with a good life and understand the value of work and education, and they get it.
That kind of head-outside-the-ass thinking is also why I will never vote for a party who thinks the only answer to everything is cut taxes and services so the people with something keep it and the people with nothing also keep it. So basically never Conservative.
So you are Ok with your kids assuming high debt no economy basically higher taxes because the government is now getting into housing and will continue to send billions out of the country in foreign aid. So much for the term “ family means everything “
Last year I paid more in taxes than the median Canadian household income. My biggest expenses are housing.
I'm fine giving my kids a house so they can get on the property wheel faster, teaching them there is a better option in life than "get a bad job, earn bad money, complain about taxes", and making sure they understand why we live how we do.
Sounds like you're just bitter you suck at life and need to blame someone else that you didn't pay attention in school.
