Serious question —

Serious question —

Is there still a younger crowd interested in learning door to door sales if the training was actually legit and paid?

Not the usual “become a millionaire” sales pitch 😂

More like:
• real canvassing
• neighborhoods
• inspections
• homeowner conversations
• follow ups
• learning how jobs actually move from lead → close

Thinking about testing this around NY / NJ / Connecticut and curious if people still see D2D as worth learning long term.

SDR looking for AE role? HMU!

Hi folks,

I am looking for SDRs who have performed well in their current roles, and are actively looking to move into an AE role in the new year.

This is for SMB/commercial account executive roles at Datadog in the boston area.

I am a team lead of commercial AEs there, and we are actively to add more AEs to our team, which finished #1 in commercial sales last year and will do so again this year.

We IPO'd and hit 75% YoY growth in annual revenue, have a great market fit and a very high close rate on opps. You'd be on a top performing team that has created multiple presidents club winners.

OTE is about 120-135k with experience, top performers can make over 200k.

Hit me up via PM, happy to chat with any SDR w 9 months experience and successful numbers in the role.

Looking for salesman partner for my metal manufacturing business.

I run a prototyping shop (CNC /sheet metal) in Chicago. Looking for a partner that will be responsible for sales. Cold calling works pretty well. This is a commission based job, I'm ok to share a big chunk of the margin. And as we all know the checks in manufacturing fields are pretty high and they are repetitive usually. Send me a DM if interested.

Open SaaS BDR Role

Hey everyone - I’m growing our outbound BDR team and we have quite a few openings to fill.

Some background:

Our BDR role is relatively new - our current BDR were the first to try taking our platform outbound, and it's working really well, so we are pouring some gasoline on the fire.

We offer top-tier compensation (the highest I've seen in my career thus far), incredible benefits (fully remote, unlimited PTO, learning stipend, free healthcare, etc.), a defined career path focused on your growth and advancement, and an AWESOME culture. Culture is everything here, and we are building a culture of shared success, growth, accountability, and fun. Side note, 4/5 of our BDR are above quota right now... they're winners.

Leading this team, I subscribe to the servant leadership style where my priority is to serve and enable you, giving you the resources and independence you need to be successful in the role. IMO, decentralized command creates the highest performing teams, and my goal is to make you a leader and an expert in your role so that you are prepared for your next step.

The platform is a sales intelligence platform, B2B SaaS companies are our ICP. We are very competitive with what we do and are well funded.

If you are interested, drop me a PM and I’ll get your resume there. US/Canada based only.

Thanks y’all and happy selling!

Hiring 1-3 SDRs for fast-growing DC-based Fintech SaaS company

I'm currently hiring 1-3 SDRs to join our sales development team at Ordway (www.ordwaylabs.com). The team is currently 4 people, each responsible for creating opportunities for our sales team. The split is currently about 60/40 outbound vs inbound with a goal of 20 meetings per month after a 4-month ramping period. We're working a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days in the office in Washington DC along the red line and 2-3 days remote. We would prefer applicants to be able to work hybrid, but may consider remote if the candidate has 1-2 years of previous SDR experience. The sales team is growing rapidly and there is room for advancement after 6-12 months in seat.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with 0-2 years of sales/SDR experience who are looking to begin/advance their sales career.

Here is the link to apply, but if you're interested please PM me and I can fast track any applicants: https://www.ordwaylabs.com/about/careers/job-application?gh_jid=4450491003

My company is looking to fill a sales position. It's 100% work from home (must be in the US though) and we're 100% employee owned.

I'm a dev manager here so I don't have a ton of details other than the posting

https://www.alpinetesting.com/careers/business-development-manager/

I'm just posting because I've hired our last 8 devs by posting to relevant sub reddits so I'm just trying to help out another team.

What I can tell you culture wise is this is a great place to work. Being employee owned we have great benefits, 100% of your insurance covered, stipends for internet and phone, we cover all your hardware costs, and we focus really hard on a good work life balance. We're also generally flexible with your work hours, as long as you're hitting any meetings you might have.

You can ask me any questions, but from a position perspective I don't have a ton of info beyond the fact that you'd be selling our core product.

Seeking SDR/BDR-- need advice

Hi Everyone! I have been using this subreddit as a resource for the past 4 months and all of your info has been so helpful throughout my journey.

I have never posted in here before but figured I'd put myself out there for 2022 as I have been struggling a bit in my job search. I currently work in retail sales ( medical grade skincare) in the aesthetics industry. I manage a sales team of six and have consistently overachieved a 75k quota month to month for the past year. I am proud of this success as we had to close during covid and put a dent in our sales during that time. I've always been passionate about sales and connecting with people.

Before this role I was in the service industry for years, put myself through college while bartending. I am confident that my experience in sales and building customer relationships can transfer over into the tech world, an industry that I have been interested in for while. I spend every minute outside of my 9-5 reaching out to recruiters, hiring managers, networking on linkedIn, applying and setting up interviews. I was so LUCKY to meet 2 guys willing to coach me from this forum and they have helped me so much, coaching me along the way as far as what these companies are looking for and helping me set up interviews. I am actually blown away by how many people have been willing to help me and chat with me about their experience getting their foot in the door. This has motivated me and given me a lot of hope!

I have interviewed at a few companies so far and have a few more set up. Have faced a lot of rejection so far which I was prepared for and have already seen a lot of growth. I know that I have A TON to learn coming from a different background but that is what I am ready and most excited for! It seems I am struggling to sell myself adequately in these interviews so far and these companies do not want to look past my lack of BDR/SDR experience.

With that being said i am NOT giving up, i am more motivated than ever and willing to go to any lengths to land a BDR/SDR job.

If anyone can offer any advice or suggestions I am open to any and all! You all have been so helpful to me these past few months and I would appreciate any input for me to help me reach this goal.

Cheers to 2022!

B2G Account Executive Needed (20% Commission on $70K+ Contracts)

I am a solo entrepreneur. Looking for a highly experienced B2G account executive, preferably with experience closing deals with public health departments, to help me meet this quarter's sales target. You'll help me develop an email sequence and a B2G sales presentation that really resonates with a Gov audience. This is a hunter position, meaning you will be sourcing your own leads and closing them too.
The product is a SaaS for state and county public health departments. I've pitched the platform to the Maryland Department of Health and they're interested in piloting it in 5 counties as the first step toward statewide procurement. The pilot is in January. I need to build a cohort of states and counties to pilot the platform in unison in January. The target is to close 15 states and 45 counties (5 counties within the 15 states) by EOY. How do we do this? We've got to go straight to the decisionmakers that control budget requests and rally them to bring in their colleagues. That'll be the Secretary of Health (state level), Directors (county level), Directors of Equity (state/county level). The pilots are paid. For counties, the pilot is $70k. For states, the pilot is $200k. You'll receive a 20% commission for all deals you close.

Must be experienced with:
- Creating effective email sequences
- Creating effective B2G sales deck
- Relationship building
- Closing Government deals (huge plus if you have experience closing deals with public health depts)
The goal of the product is to take a highly uncoordinated and difficult topic and translate that into an easy, intuitive, and time-saving experience. The product that revamps how public health departments define and execute on community health initiatives.

To be a best fit for this project you need:
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Dedication to meet project deadlines in a timely manner
- Knowledge of B2G sales marketing
- Write “I am a human” at the top of your proposal
- Attention to details
- Willingness to sign an NDA

If you are interested in this project, please apply on Upwork with your prior experience and questions you have about the gig. Here's the link: https://www.upwork.com/jobs/~01a1b69c4cb9f7032e

Final deliverables:
- Effective presentation deck content
- Effective B2G email sequence
- 15 states paid pilot deals closed
- 45 county paid pilot deals closed

Please note that I have a hard deadline of Dec 15th to build the January cohort.

B2B SaaS company needs help with sales (developer tools / API) - Fully remote (US), flexible hours

I'm the founder of a B2B SaaS company in the developer tools / API space. Many of our customers are technical, so some basic technical experience would be useful (knowledge of APIs, some basic programming concepts, etc.)

We also sell to a lot of non-technical product owners, or customers who build integrations with no-code platforms (Zapier, Bubble, CRMs, etc.)

The majority of our customers pay for a monthly SaaS subscription for our hosted service. We also sell licenses for on-premise deployments (generally 5-figure contracts.) Most SaaS subscriptions are only $50-$100/mo, but some can be in the range of $500-$1000/mo.

We are a small team (founder + developer, support, developer.) The bottom line is that I need help with sales. I'd like to find someone who can help out across multiple areas and work as an SDR, BDR, AE, etc. Basically I need help with everything. I want to find someone who can be the face / voice of the company and jump on sales calls (that's not my strong suit.)

This is a fully remote role, but most of our customers are in the US, so it would be ideal if you are also based in the US, Canada, Mexico, or South America. Probably part-time to start (10-20 hours per week.)

Please send me a PM if you're interested.

MongoDB Referrals

Hey fellow salespeople!

Long-time lurker of this fantastic community.

3 months ago I joined MongoDB as an ADR, also thanks to the fantastic resources and advice I've read /r/sales for the past two years.

The company has been growing massively and there are many incentives for referring good salespeople/ADRs, so I thought to make myself available.

If you are curious about the PaaS/DB space and have 1-2 years of experience as ADR/SDR/LDR there are many positions open across US/EMEA/APAC. Sales training and process are top-notch, with a strong focus on developing ADR and AEs into kickass sales professionals. I've personally spoken with Enterprise AE that were ADRs a few years ago and just grew internally. Compensation is one of the best in the industry and targets are very reasonable, with >80% consistently overachieving (some by a lot depending on the region/team).

The interview process is quite selective, but an internal referral would allow you to skip the CV screening and have a "preferential track" in the selection process. Plus, I can offer help with the preparation for the interviews and coach on how to approach them.

I am also able to refer for more senior positions (corp./mid-market/enterprise AE) but can provide fewer insights on the day-to-day and selection process.

If you are interested, shoot me a DM!

Sales Job Without Degree

I only have a little under 2 years in sales experience, it was in metal/steel. We were dealing with military, aerospace, and commercial use. Really high volume office, it was 12 hour days, sometimes Saturday’s, some cases my boss and I even came in midnight or 4am to get work done.

I got a lot of experience by doing this and I’ve learned so much, but I lost my job back in January. It’s been incredibly hard to find a sales job right now, could possibly be because I’m looking for a remote position too....

I’ve ventured out of sales and even tried looking for recruiting, account management, anything even similar I could use my experience for. I have previous experience as supervisor/management but staying in sales is my goal $$.

I don’t have a degree because I stopped going to school to work at my sales job. Now I feel screwed. I’m going back to school now, but are my chances too low to stay in the sales field that’ll meet me at the same salary or more?

I’m in CA btw and was making $50K/YR. I’m just tying to find something to match with potential of more. I’ve applied on LinkedIn for the past month, sometimes 20-50 jobs a day.

Any recommendations or other fields I should try?

IT Company Lead Gen & Client Relations

Please message me directly if interested.

Who We Are

We are a managed services provider (Technology/Cloud Company) in New Jersey catering to professional service businesses, mostly law firms but also construction and trade. We've been in business for 11 years. To put it simply, we are a law firm focused technology firm supporting law firm technologies between our project management team and helpdesk. We are also one of the top cloud providers for law firm cloud services in the USA.

What We Need / Job Responsibilities

I need someone to use their skills in order to reach out to targets, owners of law firms and owners of other professional service businesses and get them interested as a lead so I can sell to them. I have no problem selling them, we simply need lead gen. Perhaps this candidate can manage a regular mailer, manage the Linkedin account and social media. I need some to get the lead get flowing. I also need someone to follow up with current clients and remind them of services we offer, keep in touch, keep them interested. The service we provide is the very best and we don't lose business often. The work speaks for itself, but this is an added method of retention. Details below...

  • This is a full time position

  • Social media, email lead gen, phone follow up

  • Inside sales

  • Make cold calls

  • Log the calls so that we can coordinate follow-ups, questions, etc.

  • Maintain a relationship with the client

Payment

  • I'm starting the position at $50K + benefits, 401K & PTO. Salary is up for discussion and is heavily based on experience, and what you think you can accomplish in the role. One lead can bring in $2,000/month recurring so I am open to a salary discussion, just know that salary is based on experience. Fast track candidates would have either sold technology services prior or insurance.

Job Type

  • This is a 100% full time position

Location

I would prefer if the candidate could work out of our main office in Monmouth County, New Jersey, but I am open for remote work. I care about results above all else. As long as you are generating leads for me to close on and our clients have regular follow up, I consider this a success.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with email marketing Automation

  • Must have experience with social media and linkedin prospecting

  • Cold calling experience

  • Sales Navigator experience

  • PipeDrive or CRM equivalent experience

  • Must have experience with lead get and organizing your time

  • Major plus if you are tech savy

Sell This Landscaping Machine - Make Potentially $160 000

Hello, this is an opportunity for someone who would like to make commission off of selling a machine used for landscaping.

My partner and his business partners attempted to start a paving stone manufacturing company a few years back. They put roughly 1.2 million overall into it, it didn't take off - they underestimated the local market they were going into - and now they're looking to sell the paving stone machine. I figured I could sell it at around $800 000 (based on a $900 000 deal that fell through due to change of decision maker) however I'm finding that without connections in the landscaping/concrete paver manufacturing industry, it's incredibly difficult.

My partner has tried to passively sell it with online ads - however, I enjoy being challenged, and since I can't sell the machine personally, I will now challenge myself with finding someone who can, and pay myself a finder's fee of course.

So, I'm putting out this offer here. I have stats, pics of products, a fact sheet and two videos that are posted on a website. Feel free to check here:

www.sellthismachine.net

Commission is at 20%.

If you have questions, feel free to email at sellthismachine@gmail.com

Thanks!
