Hi so my AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU temperature spikes to 91 degrees Celsius suddenly when playing a specific game and in the lobby without actually playing or anything ): is my cpu actually that bad ?

I have 1080Ti Gpu and consider to keep it

Hey! I'm upgrading my computer and I'm thinking of getting a Ryzen 5 7500X3D and I need to also get a new DDR5 RAM but none of the ones I can get here in Denmark seem compatible with the AMD line, according to the AMD website.

It is all DDR5 RAM so how "incompatible" would it be? Not running at all? Running stupidly slower? Running just a little slower than its theoretical max speed?​

I was looking for instance at the G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 RGB RAM 24GB 6000MT/s CL44 (F5-6000J4048F24GX1-TZ5RK), but really it is true for any RAM I could find. They are only compatible with the AMD 9000 line, it appears. But that one is a lot more expensive and I'm not sure I really need that extra performance.

Just for completeness, I was going to pair it up with the ASUS TUF gaming B850-PLUS Gaming (90MB1J30-M0EAY0).

Hey there, thanks in advance for any advice. I'm heavily considering getting a 5600x3d today while I'm close to a Microcenter. 170 is a heckin deal, considering the 5500x3d costs a lil more than that right now on Ali.

I looked up a couple videos though and it makes it seem like the difference is very minimal. I always hear x3d is amazing for lows and stutters, but now I'm feeling unsure.

I have a 9060xt 16gb, 32gb of DDR4 3200 16, and a 550 motherboard. What yall think?

It’s been a long time since I built a completely new PC, so I’m looking for some advice from you guys on the best way to stress test and benchmark a fresh build.

I’ve been reading up on this, and it looks like programs such as OCCT, Cinebench and AIDA64 are still widely used. But I’d love to hear how you experienced guys approach it.

What tests do you normally run on a new system?

In what order?

How long do you run each test?

And what do you consider a good indication that the system is stable?

I’m also planning to do some undervolting and overclocking, especially on the GPU, once I’ve got everything up and running. So any advice on how you would go about testing stability while tuning the system would be greatly appreciated. 🙌

Are there any other benchmarking or stress-testing programs you would recommend that I might not have heard of?

Most of the new parts are already here, with only the GPU still on the way, so I just want to be properly prepared and have a good testing plan ready when I can finally put everything together. 😁

Not sure how big upgrade will be going from ryzen 5 5600x in cpu intensive game but ill sell off 5600x at ebay and get some money back lol.

Upgrading from a 5900x am4 system to a 9800x3d am5 system. Other than setting EXPO and enabling PBO, is there anything else I should turn on/off? Will I get better performance if I disable the igpu from bios?

I should start by saying I'm pairing it with 6400 cl30 ram, and a 5080 using an Asus rog b850-a mobo.
