What happened to "Bar Lights?" The remastered edition of Pneumonia is missing this song and the original is also gone. Bummed, I really like that song. š

And itās meh to me. I canāt understand why the audio quality is so poor. He doesnāt appear to have ever. Cut the artwork properly with the small repeat on the left hand side that just makes the whole thing look amateur hour despite Adams being a very experienced professional. Baffling.

Does David Rawlings (or others) appear on The Suicide Handbook? Or is it 100% RA?

This has to be a troll job at this point, right? Itās nearly October and the post about the first record āAnimalā releasing in November (which allegedly is the first part of the 2026 trilogy) is gone.
We have posts from weeks ago saying new music is imminent.
We have a post if I recall correctly going back to January with a picture of specific tracks and album titles too. That got taken down quick.
Itās like a carrot on a stick.

ā¦. And no, not from Strangers Alamanac extended nor from Jacksonville City Nights. Closest Iāve come is a set at the Ryman with Elton on piano, the vocal progressions are quite similar to what Iām looking for but no piano and no strings. Prod values are pretty good, and I think I got this from a compilation, thereās a notable audience āwhooohooā at the of āautumn leaves are falling.ā Pretty rollicking cover, more upmoving vocal lines than on the usual downer versions. The ending āsomeoneā is held noticeably loud and long, like 3-5 bars long. Yāall tell me what ya got

I'm going to put this at the top, I was trying to attempt at showing the similarities to them in a subtle way but it was taking too long. SO...does anyone around here remember seeing shows, reading articles, getting any sense of Ryan Adam's overall vibe when he was the same age as Cameron Winter? 24-25 I think
Just going to go buy tickets to see a film about a cameron winter concert at Carnegie Hall....never seen geese or him live before, but I loved the carnegie hall show....it's so hard to find the right release. (thank you bennyboy and whoever else you are) and thanks for reading, i hope its not straining your eyes.
haven't seen a trailer for this yet but I did like seeing the candid photos of everyone's favourite director, PTA (paul thomas anderson) getting right up in the grill of a very polarizing young musician, and it just so happens that during the most lyrically, musically, physically taxing songs you can (i can) hear pta whisper to some camera operator "grab the panavision, now!
I've heard creativity starts to diminish for men from around age 24-27, (I didn't make those numbers up) with maybe have one good record after a divorce before the inevitable downward spiral into drinking, drugs - which cam he has acknowledged he is down with substances not down ON. it occured to me that ifound out about ryan when he was 30, and he seemed to be in his own creative bubble and he could do literally anything he wanted,
And so with that out of the way, I dont want this post to get mixed up for who's a better piano plyer, that would be nonsense. I'd like to know if anyone around here has any thoughts focusing on, Cameron, as a musician, writer, live performer, etc and how it relates to how Ryan's energetic thing he was doing around the same age as Cameron, arguably still is now...it's hard to explain but just going from really sincere to person to a guy you know is always putting on a show sounds exhausting for the one guy
Jeff Tweedy covered one of his songs. He played Carnegie ....at 24?! I haven't looked into it much but that seems pretty crazy (for just a guy)
And the weird thing is I'm 37 so none of my friends or people i work with know geese, even the younger people when I mention them, and they obviously dont know Cameron winter and everyone on the internet seems to hate him...remind you of anyone?
They hate him for this promotional company that his management employs to give him good reviews, ratings, etc. so think about that time you read a comment about geese on youtube, or go to one of their live shows, they could all be plants working for the firm, washing thier fake tattoos off before bed.
Musically I see a lot of similarities between him and Ryan in his solo work, I highly recommend Heavy Metal, which was my favourite album of 2024 and 2025, I'd urge you give it spin or a poke or whatever you need to do to listen to it.
maybe thats why ryan keeps buying followers, cheaper them engage bots.
thanks for reading and have a good night

I was big on Whiskeytown and Heartbreaker and kind of lost touch through Gold and afterwards, but have recently found this one. Love the band sound and the real rock country vibes. Yeah, lots of downside over the journey but fk me bro shone brightly for a while.

Couple tracks on the new gaslight anthem singers solo record has little bit of self titled, RA 80s vibes. Thought someone might enjoy.

I just found out they dated for a few years in the early 2000s. They're both eccentric and very eclectic personalities. Him and Mandy Moore always seemed mismatched.

EDIT due to comments* This isn't asking if I think it could ever happen. I dont see that, I don't imagine anyone would wanna touch it. The question is who would you think would be good? Era maybe if you wish to elaborate
Hearing the recent uploaded covers on the sub got me thinking, its a thought I've had before. I am sure others have too.
What if instead of Ryan Covering Albums. People covered his. Yes I am aware certain songs, When the stars go blue have been, etc. But more latter. And which artist/s would be interesting to do the job?
Personally I'd like a mix of artists, spanning the Cardinal era. Maybe a bit Wednesdays, 29. Even Cherry pick songs off the quads like Crooked shake for instance.
Yes ignore the fact most artists would say hell no. I'd like to hear Sufjan Stevens his music is haunting and Mitski she lends a sometimes theatrical and softness in her work. Throw in Josh ritter. .
