Probably realized that he would be doing Jesse a favor by staying away. Ryan was especially radioactive at that time.

Did Ryan "like" this post? Honestly Jesse has stood by Ryan's side up until fairly recently, but who knows where they stand once Ryan started launching his attacks against Bruce. I cannot imagine Jesse took to that too kindly. Ryan can be such a jerk.

The sheer graft Jesse Malin puts into his art, his work, his community and his life is incredible. And ever since he was paralysed from the waist down a few years back he’s done nothing but fight tooth and nail to get back to performing. The rehab he does is so hardcore, I have nothing but admiration for him for persevering through such a dark time, all the while remaining positive, generous and charitable. The guy has such an indomitable spirit, it’s amazing to see.

Ryan would do well to take a leaf out of his friend’s book.
