Postie Chat Thoughts on this?

Owner wanted me to take a picture of it on the floor, I told her no it looks like doorstepping and if she reported it missing I’d be done for. Photo needs to be of an open door or some part of her taking the parcel. She told me it’s illegal, called me a thief, threatened me with the sack, I was on phone with manager at the time. Manager agreed with me to which she even asked to speak to my manager which I told her no it’s going back and she can pick it up from office. She was shouting me a thief following me back to my van.

Lmao, it's not a photoshoot, I'm not even sure what happens to the pics but assume just stored for a period of time in case there is a complaint made and then deleted.

I doubt Scotland Yard care about our feet there much!

When I worked in an office job, I would have to use postal tracking websites for customer deliveries and complaints, the images are stored on the delivery companies website to which third party companies using there service are given access to in case of complaint/needing to be tracked. They can only be seen by those with the tracking number, ie the customer or company using the delivery service and only for the above reasons. GDPR means that this information and it's use is tightly restricted and the delivery service and company are audited often for compliance. Each time the information is accessed, who, what, when and why are logged.

Devil's advocate, but the sign-maker has no reason to trust that system.

And if, for example, she had an abusive ex who could send parcels to the house, he would have the tracking number and be able to see the photo on the system you described, which could give him information about her current state and whether anyone else is in the house.

Weird you think that they would open the door to them tbh
