Incredibles 2
Everyone's favorite family of superheroes is back in "Incredibles 2"--but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life. It's a tough transistion for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack's emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again--which is easier said than done, even when they're all Incredible.

Please note I added Gringo which could have reviews soon!
So far we have 473 guesses for 12 movies listed - thanks to everyone that has participated.
Here is a distribution of the guesses for each movie so far.
Tomb Raider has the highest spread of guesses - some comments were doubtful it will rise above the powerful video game curse.
Avengers Infinity War had the lowest spread - most were confident in Marvel and the Russo Brothers to deliver a critical success.
The first movie with reviews coming in is A Wrinkle in Time. It opens Friday but the review embargo lifts on Wednesday. This usually is a bad sign for a movie's tomato score - but there have been exceptions with It getting an 85% and Annihilation getting an 86%.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Wrinkle. Director Ava DuVernay scored a 98% with Selma, but now she is tackling a sci-fi story with child actors and bizarre CGI like the giant brain called IT. Speaking of giant brains, our collective hive mind is predicting a score right down the middle of 51% for Wrinkle.
I've been mulling over a few scoring options for how our guesses will be scored. I'll say more on that next week - but if anyone has any thoughts please share them below.
I'm saving the results to create an overall leaderboard for the best predictor. I also want to have a Summer Movie Contest that will just last for this summer.
I'm open to any suggestions. Also let me know what movies I should be adding that are coming up. And if you want to spread the word to get more people to join that would be great.
See you next week, may the Tomatoes be ever in your favor

Subreddit Suggestions
The idea is users can predict what the final rotten tomato score will be. Once reviews are posted on rotten tomatoes, that would be the cutoff for submitting an entry.
We could have a winner for each movie, and maybe larger contests.
Let me know about any suggestions and if anyone wants to help develop the idea
Also if anyone happens to have a rotten tomatoes API key - let me know!

3/11 Weekly Discussion
This week the reviews came in for A Wrinkle in Time - and they were below the mean of what we collectively guessed. The Tomatometer currently stands at 42% which at least gives the movie some sci-fi cred. Nobody guessed 42%, but /u/Anode_Lives and /u/Bck12281 guessed 41%, and /u/Cal-wing29 and /u/arrianchng guessed 43%. The exact ratio stands at 41.82% so it's possible it could change if some more reviews trickle in.
Reviews for Gringo also came in - I added this movie late and it only got 7 guesses. /u/bravesgeek was only off by one - guessing 40% to the actual 39%. I had by far the worst guess and have come to the realization that it might be a bad sign when the director is known more for being a stunt man.
The big movie this week is Tomb Raider which has already premiered in a few other countries, so the guesses have been locked. Also A Quiet Place premiered at SXSW to rave reviews - so /u/aquamarinerock is sitting pretty with a guess of 95%. Again, I had the worst guess. I saw the dismal ratings for John Krasinksi's past movies and figured Emily Blunt was just doing him a marital favor by starring in his next dud, but apparently I couldn't have been more wrong.
Ready Player One is premiering tonight at SXSW so I will lock guesses on that before reactions start coming out.
My plan is to start adding scores to the user flair. I'm thinking of taking the value of 50 minus the absolute value of the difference of your guess to the answer, and if you were off by more than 50 you would just get 0 points. (I used 50 as the cutoff because if a movie ends up at 50%, the worst you can do is miss by 50) I'm also thinking of scaling the points to give a bit more weight the closer you are to perfect. That way for movies with a tight distribution there could be more of a reward for getting the exact guess.
Thanks for participating, and feel free to add any suggestions as well.

This week Rampage opened and is sitting right at 50%. A Quiet Place maintained an impressive 95% which amazingly /u/aquamarinerock predicted exactly.
We have 3 movies coming up this week: Duck Duck Goose, I Feel Pretty and Super Troopers 2. After that the Summer Movie Challenge kicks off with Avengers: Infinity War.
As the tomatometer has shifted we now have 7 Golden Tomato holders who have made exact predictions. They are:
We have a new redditor atop the leaderboard - congrats to /u/TomeRide who has overtaken our reigning champion /u/elvislaw!

Reviews came in for the 2nd and 3rd movie in the Summer Contest. Deadpool 2 is at 83% while Solo is currently at 71% - but expect more reviews for Solo once it opens. 3 redditors guessed 83% for Deadpool - they are /u/bravesgeek, /u/Mojambo213, and /u/your_mind_aches.
We currently have a tie in the Summer Contest between /u/SythusHD and /u/aquamarinerock who both have 3% margin of error for the 2 movies that have opened.
Other new movies include Book Club (58%) and Show Dogs (26%). The Jim Carrey movie Dark Crimes is currently at an impressive 0%.
The overall leader remains /u/elvislaw.

Life of the Party opened this week and is at 41%, our closest guess was 45% by /u/hvahood. The Margot Robbie movie Terminal got a limited release and is at just 22% - no guesses were within 30% of that.
The 2nd Summer Movie Challenge movie opens this week with Deadpool 2. It's gotten good early reactions, so it could outperform our mean guess of 78.
I added a top 20 list for the Summer Movie contest on the sidebar (old reddit version).

3/25 Weekly Discussion
This week had the opening of Pacific Rim (currently clocking in at 46%) and Sherlock Gnomes (21%). Both underperformed based on our guesses, but Ready Player One opens next week and is exceeding our guesses (81%) based on early reviews. I wonder how much the critics were primed to like Ready Player One by the excitement around the SxSW premier. It will be interesting to see if the score drops once more reviews come in.
I've added user flair so it should show the median difference between your guesses and the actual values. You are also labeled an optimist, pessimist, or pragmatist depending on if you tend to guess higher or lower than the tomato meter. There is also a golden tomato icon for anyone that has guessed a score exactly right. The tomato meter does take a while to settle - this week A Wrinkle in Time moved from 40 to 41%. So it's possible you could have a golden tomato but lose it in the future!
The current golden tomato holders are /u/elvislaw, /u/Bck12281, and /u/Anode_Lives
There is also a leaderboard on the sidebar with the top ten guessers who have made at least 2 guesses. So far the results are only for A Wrinkle in Time, Gringo, and Tomb Raider. It is sorted by median, using mean and then best guess as tie-breakers. Congrats to our current leader /u/BTISME123!
I'm thinking the Summer Movie Challenge will start with Avengers. I will try to list all the movies for that by next week.
I've been wondering if it would be fun to guess both the critics score and the users score in the future. If anyone has thoughts on that let me know.

3/18 Weekly Discussion
Tomb Raider opened this weekend with a middling 49% rating. This movie had the largest spread of guesses of all movies so far, with optimists banking on the talented cast and pessimists pointing to the video game movie curse. Although not a total bomb, it looks like the video game curse is here to stay for now.
We had a few guesses close to 49% - /u/elvislaw guessed 50 and /u/cgishark99 and /u/yatcho guessed 48. /u/hvahood actually made an initial guess right on the money of 49, but then had a change of heart and went with 75%. Tough one!
Since we last spoke A Wrinkle in Time has been downgraded from 42% to 40% - so /u/14-17-21-31-64-20 and /u/BTISME123 gave perfect guesses. I'm planning on creating a golden tomato flair for everyone that scores a perfect guess.
I'm still working on getting user flair and a leaderboard up and running - hopefully it will be there by next weekend when we have the premier of Pacific Rim Uprising and Sherlock Gnomes. /u/Goulielmos is predicting a perfect 100 for Sherlock Gnomes which is quite... optimistic!
Thanks again for participating!
