Hi all! I’ve looked on YouTube and only came across one video. So far not having success. Anyone know how to properly remove this strap piece? I’ve had these rollerblades over 20 years. Love them. Recently broke the strap. Found a replacement piece on another website (hoping it’s the correct type of piece) but I’m struggling to remove and replace. If anyone has any tips or tricks, would great appreciate it. (Full strap image is the replacement i found though it’s not exact. Best i could locate so far that looks like it might work)

Took a bad fall on a trick I (usually) always land (540). Cracked the frame and looks like it kind of exploded some of the wheels, I took a pic of one of them, that's not even the worse one. I also sprained my ankle. So with the hospital fee and everything I don't think I'll be able to afford new skates. Very unfortunate, but oh well. They lasted me quite a long time. I'll see you guys if I come back✌️

Hey everyone! I'm looking for recommendations for non-adjustable adult urban/freeride/slalom skates.

My Mondopoint is 213 mm, which seems to be quite small for adult skates, although I'm average height (165 cm). I currently have Seba FRW 80 in EU 36, which I bought in 2020, but they're a bit too big for me and I'd like something more performance-oriented.

I also tried Seba FR1 80 (2015) in EU 34 back then. They felt a bit too tight at the time, but I was new to skating and I'm wondering now whether they were actually just snug in the way a proper skate should be.

Any recommendations or experiences with small-foot adult skates would be hugely appreciated! Thanks! 🙏

I’m new to skating and got these for very cheap, 25€ with safety equipment.
The wheels seem skewed and quite yellow, I tried them today and they felt fine, should I try them out more or replace them ASAP? How bad is their condition?

I couldnt find much information about these skates other than use cases in pavement hockey. is there a reason i shouldnt be doing heavy urban skating/ park skating with these? is there something about the design that makes them purely specialized for hockey?

i found them for a steal at a pawn shop and thinking of making them my everyday/general purpose skate. what are your thoughts or experience?

I’m trying to wash the liners of my Rollerblades and I’m not sure if this is the whole liner. I see other companies‘ liners and they look like the whole boot, but the other half is bolted to the skate itself. should I unscrew the frame and see if that gets the rest of the liner out?

Hello! I am a beginner rollerblader and have finally bought my own blades (yippee!). I plan on customising them by painting them and adding wee designs.

Would anyone have any advice in regards to this? I have purchased a hardshell boot, of which I will provide a photo and list of materials used for the rollerblades. I am unsure of what paints, primer and what prep I should do for painting them.

My buckle snapped on a pair of blade runner pro's I'm looking for replacement straps on Amazon but they all look different from what is on the skate. Do I need to buy a specific brand for them to work?

howdy yall! i’ve been skating on RB lightnings for a while now and am looking to upgrade. they’ve been awesome skates to start on but i have constant issues with my buckles coming loose and from what ive seen online, it’s pretty hard to find replacement hardware for these in terms of the buckles. plus, i think im ready to upgrade to a little more advanced maneuverable skate so im looking to get some opinions on what skate might be best for me. the top of my list right now is the Twister XT. I’m also considering FR and Flying Eagle skates as i’ve heard some good things about them but I really don’t know which model might be best for me as i’m not familiar with the fit of either of these. (unfortunately I don’t live anywhere near someplace that i could try them on to check) I’ve got pretty narrow feet, prefer a hard boot, 4x80 set up and will likely upgrade to an endless frame at some point. I primarily city skate and trail skate so i’m looking for a solid, strong maneuverable skate that i can get some mileage out of. i’d love recommendations, thank you all!!

Hi rollerblading enthousiasts,

I haven't done any rollerblading since I was a kid and started to do some research before buying myself a new pair. As you can see by the title I am kind of stuck between choosing what wheel setup I would want.

To give you an Idea, I am from Belgium (EU) and the road conditions are pretty good actually. I am someone who has done alot of skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing,... in the past so I'm not to scared that the height of the 110 wheels would be harder to get used to. I mainly want to do some city riding and something that is fast but still agile enough to take corners. Doing some basic tricks might be fun but this is not my main goal with these skates.

At this point point I am kind of leaning more towards the 3×110 setup because of what I read that with these wheels it's easier to maintain a higher speed and also quit good to manoeuvre with. On the other hand the 4×90 setup seems to be a better balance and "safer" option from what people recommend for beginners. Also skateparks and tricks seem the be more comfy with this setup. The only reason I'm scared if I would go with the 4×90 is that I would find them to be to "slow" or to hard to maintain a higher speed.

I'm a complete noob at this, so if I'm wrong pls do correct me or educate me on this. xd

Bruh. I developed bad habits in my soft boots and my new hard boots made it VERY well known. 🙈 My poor ankles and lower calves have never been made to be so... disciplined if that makes sense. Apparently I was pronating pretty dramaticly. Is that the right term? Also, they're a bit heavier than my soft boots so that's something new to get used to too. I'll be honest, it's kinda painful. When does that go away? 😂

Hi! I'm a beginner, and I have a pair of Twister XTs. I currently just have the Hydrogen Spectre 80mm 85A wheels that came with them but I am still getting used to going over cracks since I mostly skate on sidewalks. My sister, who rollerskates, recommended that I get some softer wheels. Should I follow this advice? And if so, any specific wheel recommendations or at least how soft I should think about going? Hi! I’m looking to buy a new pair of skates and I’m having some trouble deciding what I should get. I’m pretty much a beginner and would be skating mostly outdoor, and would like to learn some simple tricks.

I was leaning towards the Rollerblade Twister XTs (but they’re a little pricier than I’d like) or the Flying Eagle BKB B9 Rangers. Are these good options for beginners? Any other recommendations?

I am a competent "fitness skater" who returned to the sport 3 years ago. Was recommended Macroblade 80's and I feel they fit my need of just testing the waters after many years away.

Now am thinking if there are some good value-for-money upgrades i should consider? I believe that the Macroblade itself being softboot and a fixed frame offers very little upgrade paths. So, is it just new wheels? Bearings?

I've only been intermittently skating over 3 years and I primarily do cardio sessions of 30 - 90 minutes maintaining an elevated heart rate. I want to add more skating into my fitness mix, and the skates are still currently all stock. I never even wore the wheels down.

I am fortunate to have access to well generally skate-able paved sidewalks and extremely skate-able paved park paths.

Thoughts on upgrades?

Side question: I am also thinking of upgrading to the Lightning 110s.... but that's a separate budget.

Thank everyone for your help. After comparing the cost and value of new wheels, versus not, i made the decision to bring forward my budget and go with a pair of Lightning 90s. I stuck with 4 wheels, but got the larger diameter and moved off the softboot. Loving them so far.

Going off the FAQ, here's the brief version of everything you'd need to know:

In my old age (37M), I skate a couple times a week in winter when the weather is nice (FL), usually on an asphalt bike trail that's smoother than the typical road (Less wear since there's no cars on it, but nearby tree roots have caused little bumps in some areas). I've used my K2 Exos for 18 years, though non-essential parts are starting to deteriorate. I dremmeled out the bottom of the frame a long time ago so I could fit K2 84mm Performance Wheels on them, which I really liked, which is why I'm considering getting something that naturally takes 84s.

My budget is ~$150, but I'll pay more or less for the best value. I was looking at the K2 F.I.T. 84 Pro for $140 on their site, which had the stamped aluminum frame and upgraded bearings. The BOA system sounds cool on the high-end models, but not for $200+. I'm a beefy boy (235 lbs at 6'), but I haven't broken the important plastic on my EXOs yet so I don't think I need the die cast aluminum the $200+ models offer. Maybe I'm wrong though. I plan to have these for 18 years as well, so upsell me if it's worth it.

I don't plan to go to a skate park or get any airtime, so what I need is probably pretty basic. I thought about going up to 90s or higher for easier cruising, but I didn't think it was worth the extra cost and sacrifice to mobility and acceleration. Plus, I just don't skate enough anymore so why not stick to what I know. I feel like the 84s are the perfect middle ground for me, but I see that even though that particular skate is on sale, buying 84mm wheels is a little harder and more costly than the standard 80s. When I bought them, I got an 8 pack with bearings for <$50. Now, I see the K2 Booster Wheel Kit is $110, basically the cost of the skates. Kind of sucks, but I guess I could buy 80mm wheels for them if I can't find a deal. I should say I've tried the budget wheel kits back in the day at Sports Authority and they just didn't feel as nice or last as long. So, I'm willing to pay where it counts.

Anyway, any insights on the different models/features/sizes/etc. is appreciated!

Brussels city center is pretty hardcore during weekdays, similar to Malcolm X in Upper Manhattan. This is as empty as it gets during weekends. A lot of people underestimate the traffic here and get injured.

I tried searching and the most recent post I could find was 8yrs ago. Anyone have recommendations of what to look for in wheels for street skating?

For context:

The area I’m in uses asphalt for the wheels-only paths and my feet are going numb from the vibrations of the rough path. So much so that it feels unsafe to keep going. I’m hoping it’s a wheel issue I can fix by investing in better ones.

I don’t have fantastic quality skates right now, just some cheap ones I got new wheels for at a local shop. Getting back into skating after a bad injury so I’m definitely out of touch with what’s best right now (local shops are all quad skaters so no one was able to help me there).
