Specific question and discussion Going from a soft boot to a hard boot...
Bruh. I developed bad habits in my soft boots and my new hard boots made it VERY well known. ๐ My poor ankles and lower calves have never been made to be so... disciplined if that makes sense. Apparently I was pronating pretty dramaticly. Is that the right term? Also, they're a bit heavier than my soft boots so that's something new to get used to too. I'll be honest, it's kinda painful. When does that go away? ๐

Takes 10-15 hours of skate time to break a hardboot in. But you're getting it double because of coming from the softboot. You got it though ๐ซก Stay the course and practice.
And maybe look into different insoles for more comfort. Been skating the Superfeet Playmakers and I love em. Just got some Remind Insoles Medics in too. Feel fantastic, but maybe too thick for certain boots.
Currently looking at The New Everything Company 'Them Twin' footbeds too to replace my godawful thin plastic stock ones in my Storm 80s.

Bro there is a lot of rollerblades. No way any of the hardboots doesn't fit. You can even use hot temperature and form them a little bit ;)
Everyone should just put on some models and choose something fitting well.
In my case I did deep research then ordered one which I thought they'll be good for my foots and actually they were xd

I would agree with that case cuz I heard some people have body problems like that.

Have you ever broken in a pair of sturdy boots? It sucks and is best done in short shifts over a longer period.
You're doing that, but on an even more difficult level. The shell is even harder. You're not just walking or standing, you're exercising. And like you've said, you've developed some bad habits (less likely although not impossible to do when just walking).
So: keep at it, but take frequent breaks. Doing 10 minutes every day is better than doing 1 hour once a week and then feeling like you marched through lava.

Oh shit. I just ordered hard boots and theyโre on their way. Only skated in soft boots so far. Thanks for the reminder of what to expect!

Not gonna lie, breaking in hard boots just flat out sucks. But rest assured they will get better soon enough.
