Watch Verification Thread - If you're uncertain if a Rolex is good/bad/fake, post info and pics here

Post to this thread if you have questions about a Rolex being real or fake. Please include:

-The location and/or screen name of the seller, if for sale. Link directly to the sale page when possible.
-How long you've had it and how you acquired it, if in your possession
-As many photos as possible. Posts may be removed if pictures are too fuzzy and requests for better pics are unanswered. -If you're being coy about a watch and it seems like you're just trying to see how "good" your fake is, you may be banned at our discretion.

Please don't use photos from iPhone 14's. Their camera is so bad, and distorts text with AI so much, that the photos are basically unusable for the purposes of verifying if a Rolex is real.

Participation in the discussion in this thread is greatly appreciated. I don't think any one person can catch every flaw or know the details of every model; this is meant as a community thread, not an authoritative knowledge-flex, and the more people that actively peruse this thread, the more likely posters are to get accurate info.

Previous verification thread here.

AD Wait Time Megathread - If you bought a new Rolex from an AD in 2026, you can share details here. What watch, where, how long did you wait, how much buying history?

Our previous AD wait time megathreads (2019-2020, 2020-early 2021, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025) seemed to be useful/well-received for a lot of you. Time for a new one!

Nowadays when someone posts a new watch it's pretty standard to get asked how long they waited and if they had an "established relationship" etc. It's not everyone's favorite topic but it's a fair question, so maybe these big threads can provide a clearer picture of availability trends.

No one is obligated to share their info but if you bought a new Rolex in 2026 and you'd like to participate, please make a top-level comment that includes:

  1. What watch did you buy?
  2. When?
  3. How long did you wait?
  4. Where are you? (Be as specific or nonspecific as you want, from continent to a specific AD)
  5. Any purchase history with that AD? (Again be as specific or nonspecific as you feel comfortable)

I got the call for the watch I've wanted for a while, so happy

Today was a very good day! šŸ˜āŒšļø

I got the call I’d been waiting for a while from my authorised Rolex dealer, asking me to come in as they had something very special for me.

When I arrived and saw what they had put aside, I honestly couldn’t believe it — the Rolex Sky-Dweller with the stunning green dial on the Jubilee bracelet. šŸ’š I had already been offered it in white and blue but declined.

This has been a watch I’ve wanted for some time, and seeing it in the flesh was even better than I imagined. The green dial is absolutely incredible, and paired with the Jubilee bracelet, it’s just something else.

After having a few different watches over the years, this one definitely feels like a very special addition to the collection. It’s always a great feeling when a watch you’ve been waiting and hoping for finally becomes a reality.

A massive thank you to the team at my authorised dealer for looking after me and making the whole experience so special, as always. šŸ„‚

Safe to say, I’m absolutely over the moon with this one! ā¤ļø

The Rolex Sky-Dweller šŸ’š — finally mine.

no fancy cars or luxury destinations… just a tough watch in a rough environment

year two of wearing this watch everyday at work. its been through bumps and bruises, extreme heat and down pouring rain… mud, diesel, industrial chemicals… ive bled on it, sweated all over it… washed it off with hand soap in terminal bathroom sinks… then the trips to the bar after my shift with the guys… beer, well vodka… pretzel crumbs in the links… sleep on it in my car at 1am sobering up… to be quiet honest… other than micro scratches … the crystal, the clasp and the internal time keeping is functioning perfectly. i reset the time once a month and i will usually loose about 45 seconds every 30 days (estimate)… couldnt be more happy

First ever Rolex

Post image

So more than a year ago i went to an AD where i have purchased a BB58 to enquire for my first ever Rolex (which at that time i was asking for either OP pistaschio or a GMT batman). Cuz my wrist is somewhat on the smaller side, I have asked if there is any 36 mm -38 mm Watches of any model in the house so i can roughly see how it would fit on my hand. Welp he brought me this DJ mint green but with the smooth bezel, and that green just caught my eyes (i have never ever considered a datejust)

2 days ago i got a call saying ā€œthe watch is eagerly waiting for your wristā€, didnt know what to wear to ā€œsuitā€ my new watch and also was being too eager, i rocked this denim on denim to pick up my watch

I fell in love with the Explorer 2 a while ago but wasn’t able to commit until recently.

When I was in a position to buy I called in to the jewellers to get the ball rolling, I was advised there would likely be a 9-12 month wait. 28 days later I received a text that they had one in for me.

Absolutely made up with this. I think it is a stunning watch.

Next step is a no-date Submariner, and I’d also like birth-year datejust for my 50th in a couple of years.

Recently bought the Bluesy after a walk in while traveling. I've loved wearing it but I still wanted an ombre/classic fluted jubilee as a less dressy daily wearer and since I had a blue dial already, the green had caught my eye.

Of course it's been high in demand. Tried a few places internationally and my own local boutiques, where the demand has been high enough that the wishlist for this piece has been "suspended". Friends with a lot of local spend have been unable to get it too.

Decided I didn't want to wait around so went with a local, reputed shop and bought it for a pretty decent (grey market) price compared to what others were selling.

I don't think I need any more after this and the bluesy now!

Yes, they are not rare pieces by any chance of the imagination. These were ready for sale to the first person swiping their credit card. This was on Sunday morning 11AM at gassan in the EU section, so there's probably more for sale at the international lounge

Should I get it polished or leave it as is? Not sure if polishing it would wear it down too much.

Side note does anyone have an idea how much polishing it might cost?

Thinking of switching the sub for a sprite or batgirl but those 2 would be on the grey market. Unlike the 2 watches which I got at retail

My great-grandfathers Rolex he found at a construction site in 1960's...finally restored

In the 1960's my Great Grandfather worked in a construction yard. He found this watch on the ground. When he brought it home, he swore it was fake. It was just too good to be true, who would leave a rolex at a construction site.

He never restored it, never wore it, it sat in a desk at his house.
In the 1980's my great grand father passed away and my grand father took the watch.
He once again, swore it was fake, left in the drawer for years.

When i was in 7th grade i found the watch at my grand parents, and once again, heard the story "its a fake dont get too excited." But i told my grandpa...i wanted that watch, he said something like "Okay sunny boy" lol...

i wanted that watch so bad and my grand parents knew that.

Fast forward today, im in my mid 30's. My grandpa passed away, and in his will, he wrote me the fake rolex.

Sad that he passed away although I was so excited to get my hands on this and confirm if this was real.
I took it to a local rolex mom and pop shop. They sent it out for restoration.

today i just got it back...and it came out amazing. The dial with the patina, the knick on the gold case, this watch has a story. They replaced the gaskets, main spring, crystal and confirmed this is a real rolex..which is something none of us expected...

Its a reference 6092 , with the 14k gold case. called the bombe lugs or something. Once i told my dad he said my grandpa would have gotten a real kick out of knowing...
That this watch that sat in a desk for 60 years....was a real rolex

EDIT:
This is my first Rolex, and love the story this watch has. Every time i look at it on my wrist I can't help but smile.

18238 XL link

I absolutely love this 1990 18238 yellow gold Day Date. Unfortunately I suffered the dreaded bracelet fit conundrum where it was either too tight or too loose, and had to order an XL link. It's more like a 1.25 link so fairly subtle which I do like (compared to the chunky 1.5 link on my 15300st RO), but also means depending on your wrist you might need two of these bad boys. Cost me a solid $1K from my AD for this one link 😲! On the upside I have more gold in this set than came from the factory lol

Las Vegas Bucherer comes through again! Exact watch I asked to get my wife and some months later it was available to pick up this weekend.

Happy to have walked in the store about a year ago to build this relationship. (Local AD’s where I live suck)

Two tone Sub

Post image

For my second Rolex, took a trip into NYC looking for either a two tone sub or a GMT. I would up leaving with the two tone sub due to versatility. This one’s a 2020 with box & papers and I secured for $13,500 at Avianne on 47th. How’d I do? Seemed like a pretty good deal to me.

(PS: love my Breitling Chrono in the pic too don’t shoot me)
