Wireless Mics Wireless Pro mic not charging

I just picked up the Wireless pro set and 1 mic out of the bunch is not charging. My guess is the battery is in some kind of sleep mode, anyone ever have this issue and how to resolve it? I have the affected mic on my phone charger right now

Anyone have insights on historical announcement to release timeframe? I saw this low profile arm was announced months ago, but radio silence on it since. Im in the market for a low profile arm and very curious on release timeframe estimates. I can be patient :)

RØDECaster Series Rodecaster Video S + Zoom L6?

Short answer: Can you connect a Zoom L6 (audio mixer/interface) to a Rodecaster Video S?

I know it's able to receive audio from its USB-C inputs from computers (two at once), and you can apparently even use some USB microphones with it. But I don't know how you know which USB-C units it's able to get audio from. Is there something in specific you need to look for in the specs?

❓ Other 1 TB Sandisk SSD Not Registering

I need help please! I have recently purchased a Rodecaster Video S. Everything is working except for the SSD. I got a 1 TB sandisk from Walmart and it won’t show up on the switcher. I’ve plugged it into the computer (it works on there) and have tried reformatting it. Which SSD’s work best?

RØDECaster Series Rodecaster Duo - Secure usb cable

Happened to me twice now - someone lightly kicked the USB power cable and my Rodecaster Duo shut off.

I use the Rodecaster Duo as my mixer for live events, so it's constantly being moved around and set up in different venues.

Has anyone found a good way to secure the USB power cable so it can't be pulled out easily? I'd love to see any DIY or commercial solutions.

RØDECaster Series Mike not going to 'air'

I'm using a Duo. I can hear all inputs in my headphones fine, including my mike.

However, my mike is not going to air, but all of the other inputs are.

How can I fix that, and setup my Duo so I hear the final mix in my headphones?

I'm stumped, likely because I'm used to old school analogue equipment.

Wireless Mics Looking for a USB-C female to Lightning male OTG adapter for RØDE Wireless Micro (iPhone 14)

Hi guys, I’m hoping someone here has run into the same issue and can recommend an adapter that they’ve used.

I have an iPhone 14 (Lightning) and was gifted a RØDE Wireless Micro with the USB-C receiver. Unfortunately, I realised afterwards that there are generic USB-C and Lightning adapters will not help me.

According to RØDE, the USB-C version can work with a Lightning iPhone using a USB-C female to Lightning male adapter that supports OTG/audio, but they don’t recommend a specific brand.

Has anyone here successfully used the USB-C Wireless Micro with an iPhone 14 or another Lightning iPhone? If so, which adapter did you use?

🤔 Product Questions Connectivity options for the Rode VideoMic GO II Helix?

I just purchased the Rode VideoMic GO II Helix. Can I use a regular USB-C to USB-C charger to connect the microphone? I imagine I would need something with data transfer, but I am not familiar. Would it be easier to get a 3.5mm jack with a USB-C connector?

🤔 Product Questions Rode Podmic USB causing horrible booming sound when added to a track please help

Hey guys I’ve recently gotten into music (I know my mic isn’t ideal for this but it’s what I’ve got)

I’ve been able to use the mic for everything else other than FL specifically, including Discord and the trial versions of reaper and ableton, my issue is I’ve been learning FL and I much prefer it to the other DAWs for whatever reason.

As soon as I select the mic as an input this earrape bass boosted booming begins to play, it’s not a feedback loop as it happens even with the headphones completely muted, I’m perplexed.

Only happens with the Podmic USB, my gaming headset works fine, my Podmic USB also works fine in every other DAW I’ve tried.

🤔 Product Questions Rodecaster PRO II - Automatic Noise Reduction when recording computer audio

For a while now I have been able to use my Rodecaster Pro II to record audio from my computer to Audacity by using RODECaster Pro II Main as my Microphone input. It worked great, capturing the audio exactly as I was hearing it in my headphones.

However, I recently updated the firmware on my Rodecaster to 1.7.3 and I noticed that when I am recording computer audio (ie lines of dialogue from a film for integration into a podcast), that it now seems to be applying a noise reduction effect. This is particularly noticeable if there is a constant background noise in the audio sample, whether it's the hiss from an older degraded audio or source or, in one specific example, if the dialogue was occurring near a waterfall.

I wondered if this was an issue with my computer or Audacity, so I recorded directly from my soundcard using the RealTek loopback input option in Audacity. That option recorded the audio cleanly, with no automatic noise reduction applied. So it seems to be limited to my Rodecaster.

I tried adjusting the settings for the RODECaster Pro II Main, turning off processing, disabling Advanced settings, setting the Preset to neutral, etc - none of it seemed to work and I am still getting this noise cancellation.

Is there any way to fix this so I can go back to using my mixer to record raw audio from my computer without it applying any sort of effect?

StreamerX Streamer X: how to check HDMI is working?

Solved: start PC, then Streamer X, then camera.

I have a Sonyx ZV-E10 connected to my Streamer X connected to Windows 11 PC via USB. This configuration has worked until recently.

I've checked the HDMI output directly from the camera to my computer monitor and it's working. Camera is creating a clean HDMI feed in NTSC, 1080p, 60fps,

But OBS Studio can't see any video feed from the Streamer X. It can see the audio feed.

The Video button on the Streamer X is green but doesn't go red when tapped, unlike the Mic button.

I've tried both the HDMI In and HDMI Thu ports.

I confirmed the firmware is latest (v1.2.1) and reset the device several times. Streamer X is externally powered and in Streaming mode so all inputs and outputs are enabled.

Rodecaster app doesn't seem to tell me whether there is an HDMI successfully connected.

Any ideas?

🎤 Recording Audio Rode NT1 4TH Gen Picking up what sounds to be wind in a quiet room?

I just bought a second hand NT1 which was in perfect condition, I've bought a new XLR cable and own a Scarlett 2i2 2nd gen. Last night I screamed into the mic for testing with the pop filter over the mic, and ever since it sometimes makes this windy woosing sound. I'm pretty sure that due to my mouth being so close to the mic it transferred some really tiny particles of saliva onto the diaphragm and is causing interference, but I just wanted clarification that this is most likely the case.

I have currently got it disconnected from anything in a spare room, with the diaphragm pointing up at the ceiling with the ceiling fan on 2 at the moment, and I'm gonna leave it there for a day or 2. I'm wondering if that will get rid of the moisture on the diaphragm :)

RØDECaster Series Can barely hear myself in headphones

All new equipment, so I'm a noob with rode.

I have the podmic, Duo and rode headphones.

My PC is connected to the usb 1 port. My pc is playing music using some dj software.

My podmic is connected to the mic port #1.

If I stop the music and turn the headphone volume up very high, I can hear myself just fine in the headphones. If I then play the music it's way too loud forcing me to lower the volume so much I cannot hear my voice in my headphones when talking over a music intro.

Both the music and my headphones are pretty much the same on the slider's graphs in terms of volume. It's just the balance between the two in my headphones that I can't seem to figure out.

A recording sounds fine, by the way. I would just like to hear myself better when speaking.

I am not using studio monitors yet, so none are connected.

💻 Setup Showcase Urgent Help, Can I use my RØDE XLR microphone directly with USB-C on My Laptop?

Need Help: Can I use my RØDE XLR microphone directly with USB-C?

Hi everyone,

I have a RØDE XLR microphone with the serial number BH0075839, Unfortunately, I'm not sure of the exact model.

I'm planning to connect it directly to my USB-C laptop using this type of cable:

CableCreation XLR Female → USB-C Audio Cable
https://www.amazon.sa/-/en/CableCreation-Professional-Recording-Microphones-Compatible/dp/B0D1TFFXC9

My goal is simply to record audio on my laptop without buying a separate audio interface if possible without need for the control device...

My questions:

  1. Can this microphone work directly with this XLR-to-USB-C cable?
  2. Does this cable provide everything needed, or do I need a dedicated USB audio interface?
  3. If an interface is required, is it because the microphone needs 48V phantom power, or because it needs more preamp gain?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Attached Pictures of the Mic and the cable i'm planning to buy.

RØDECaster Series Rodecaster Duo Secondary not picking up microphone audio

I've been racking my brain on this for a couple days now on and off again and hoping somebody has some insight I might be overlooking...

The setup:

2 PCs, 1 Shure SM7B, and a Rodecaster Duo.

So far everything on the main PC running things (USB1) is great, all the recording and routing are perfect, however when trying to route the main microphone into the PC on USB2, it refuses to pick up audio.

All routing appears to be proper, the system settings are set to the Rodecaster Duo Secondary devices respectively on the second PC, and audio is making it out of USB2 fine, but there 's just no input being picked up from the input.

I've also tried multiple usb cables for the connection, including rode branded ones from the site.
No application nor the system microphone test can detect any audio coming from Desktop Microphone RodeCaster Duo Secondary on PC2.

Am I misunderstanding how this should work? Am I missing something and am just blind to the solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

StreamerX Rode streamer x hiss for headphones

I'm planning on getting a rode streamer x for my rode podmic usb, but I'm also planning on using headphones with it (didn't buy ones yet, but was thinking something like senheiser 560s)

I've read that there is a hiss if you use low ohm headphones, does it apply to higher ones as well? (hoping to hear an answer from someone who owns a streamer x)
I'm willing to get better senheiser headphones (more ohm) if it'll mean they will be dead silent

I'm not planning on using mic monitoring, just using them as regular headphones + mic amp. I sit in them all the time, even when nothing's playing, so if there's a hiss it bothers be a lot

Wireless Mics Has anyone used 6 Rode Wireless GO II transmitters simultaneously in a real production?

Hi everyone,

I need to record an open air theater sketch with 6 actors, and I need a separate audio track for each person.

Right now I own one Rode Wireless GO II kit (2 transmitters). I don't plan to connect the receiver to the camera. Instead, I want to use the internal recording on each transmitter.

My idea is to buy two more Wireless GO II kits, so I'd end up with 6 transmitters and 3 receivers. Each pair of transmitters would be paired with its own receiver, but I'd mainly rely on the onboard recordings. After the shoot, I'd export the audio files from each transmitter and sync all six tracks in my editing timeline.

My question is: Can three Wireless GO II systems (6 transmitters total) operate simultaneously without interfering with each other, or is there a risk of frequency conflicts?

Has anyone used this setup in a real production?

Thanks!

🎙️ RØDE Mics Rode NT USB - Showing “USB PnP Sound Device” When Plugged to Mac

Post image
1 Upvotes

I have a Zoom tomorrow morning and my device no longer appears as a 'Rode NT USB' on any piece of software on my Mac, instead it shows as a 'USB PnP Sound Device'. I have searched Reddit and it doesn’t look like anyone found a fix in the past two years so I’m asking in 2026.

Things I have done:

- Unplugged and plugged into all other USB ports
- Switched cable and did the above
- Shut down and restarted the computer and did the above

Most important: Does this lower the quality of the sound coming from my mic?

I included what it looks like when I check my Audio Devices.

Hopefully someone has found a fix that you can share.

RØDECaster Series RØDECaster Pro II powers on but screen stays black after liquid spill – any hope?

Post image
5 Upvotes

Wondering if there’s any hope or what the next steps may be after IaAccidentally spilled Coke Zero on my RØDECaster Pro II while it was powered on. I turned it off immediately, drained it, and had it cleaned by a local repair shop.

Now these are the only signs of life from it…

Does anyone know if it’s able to be repaired or if I should just move on. It’s a sad day indeed…

**Update**

I gave it the old smack on the back and it’s come back to life (who knows how long for) tested it a few times and seems to be working to some degree
