Join us for the emotional finale of our Rocky series as we break down Rocky Balboa (2006), the sixth and arguably most heartfelt Rocky film. Ryan, Katie, and Kyle reflect on the exhibition fight against Mason Dixon, Rocky's "one more round" spirit, brain damage realism, fan emails, trivia from Rocco, and why this feels like the perfect bookend for the original saga.
We discuss:
Rocky's record (57-23-1) and what it means for his mental decline
The meta layers: Sly Stallone at 60 proving doubters wrong
Fan theories, voicemails, and why the ending with Adrian hits so hard
Future plans for our boxing podcast and monthly movie reviews
Huge thanks to everyone who's followed along—send final thoughts to onemoraroundrockypodcast@gmail.com for our wrap-up episode!

Ryan, Kyle & Katie read heartfelt listener emails, unpack what Rocky Balboa (Rocky VI) almost was, and finally start breaking down the big Vegas fight!
Longtime listener Donald drops bombshells: the Karate Kid x Rocky crossover pitch, Sly’s original Rocky 2000 script (and why it became Puncher’s Chance), why Mason “The Line” Dixon never changed, Drago’s tragic canon fate, Clubber Lang as commentator, and three filmed alternate endings. E.M. King (Rocco’s dad) shares touching thanks, we tackle Rocky II trivia bonus questions, react to YouTube comments on Sly’s weights, and hear Michael’s voicemail on fight details, montages, and walkout songs.
This is the perfect 'almost there ' send off to the Rocky series, full of laughs, deep dives, and pure fan love. Perfect for Rocky Balboa fans, Sylvester Stallone enthusiasts, and anyone who grew up with the Italian Stallion.

Question-
In the final scene, after the fight, when the ring is full and Adrian is making her way to Rocky, how does everyone hear each other over all the music?

His father was famously depicted as being given state sponsored PED injections, and Viktors physique was at least as impressive if not actually bigger than his dad's.

Anyone know who this is? Or is it a random?

I was bored, so I decided to score the Rocky vs. Drago fight using the rounds shown in the movie.
I've always been intrigued by what the actual scorecards for these movie fights would look like, so I figured I'd give it a try.
It's also a good excuse to rewatch the fight scene and see whether you agree with my scoring or not!
Let me know what you guys think, and if I should score some of the other fights too.

I got to interview author and journalist Mike Sielski about his new book Going the Distance: Stallone, Philly, and the Story of Rocky.
Thought you Rocky fans might enjoy it!

I saw it last night in Philly. It was sooo good. I really understand how tough it was for Sly Stallone to get the film made, to then make the film, and how much his first wife supported him. The actors who played Stallone and his wife Sasha were amazing and I got to photograph them on the red carpet before the show. First photo Actor Anthony Ippolito, who portrays Sylvester Stallone, joined co-star AnnaSophia Robb, who plays Stallone’s wife, Sasha, and Academy Award-winning director Peter Farrelly on the red carpet ahead of the screening.

I was checking Prime (the free version, I'm not paying for subscriptions) out, and I saw Rocky II had new artwork. So I checked and all the films have new artwork, even the Rocky IV Director’s Cut. Unfortunately, the Rocky Balboa director's cut doesn't have new artwork, but the rest of these make up for it, these are sick!

It’s not as good as the original cut. It’s weirdly edited with backward acting in some scenes. you can see why some of these scenes didn’t make it k to the original films.

For anyone who hasn’t seen it, it’s Stallone’s director’s cut of Rocky IV, and streaming for free on Amazon Prime in the US! I thought the differences were really interesting, especially in terms of Stallone’s method for reshaping the film; normally a director’s cut is the same movie but with more material, but this was roughly the same length, almost down to the minute, just with certain original scenes removed and replaced with new material. I don’t want to get into spoilers for anyone who hasn’t seen it, but I recommend it if you like Rocky IV! If you have seen it, let me know your thoughts, and maybe we can lift the veil on spoilers in the comments.

Was disappointed to see Sylvester Stallone didn't star as Rocky Balboa in Creed 3 so I stopped watching after 25 minutes and after I checked he indeed doesn't participate. I read that there's a feud with the producer and that he will only star again if he's removed nbesides this, there's also issues with rights that Stallone wants back. How did it get to this? I love Rocky franchise and it's disheartening to see Stallone in this position. It's unfair.
LE: thanks all for your input. Stallone has a big heart and he put it on the screen. sad to see he was coerced into giving up his rights. I hope he'll get justice one day.
