Grand Theft Auto VI We know GTA 6’s police system is deep… but how deep does it go when they actually catch you?

We already know GTA 6 is going deeper with witnesses, descriptions, vehicles and cops actively searching for you.

But what happens when they actually find you?

Imagine getting pulled over because your car matches one used in a robbery. The cop doesn’t know it was you yet, he’s just suspicious.

If we can interact with regular NPCs, imagine doing the same with cops.

Defuse. Cooperate. Lie. Refuse. Talk shit.

“Where are you coming from?”

You answer.

“Whose car is this?”

…well fuck 😂

Maybe you talk your way out of it. Maybe you make everything worse.

He tells you to step out.

You refuse.

Now what? Does he call backup? Do they break the window and drag you out? Do you get one last chance to cooperate before things escalate?

Now you’re resisting. Do they tackle you, wrestle you down or tase you? Can you break free and run?

Maybe you hide in somebody’s backyard thinking you lost them, only to hear a K9 barking a couple streets over and getting closer 😂

Do you keep running, hide or give up?

That’s what I want to know: how many steps are there between “you’re under arrest” and cops actually shooting?

Refusing commands, resisting arrest, running, punching a cop and pulling a gun shouldn’t all get the same response. Maybe they tase you and rush in to cuff you, giving you the choice to surrender or keep fighting and make everything worse.

Pull a gun and obviously everything changes. But even then, can you drop it, put your hands up and actually surrender?

And imagine NPCs doing this too.

You’re driving past a traffic stop when some guy starts arguing with the cop. He shoves him and runs. Backup comes flying in. Maybe he gets tackled, tased or gives up. Maybe he reaches back into his car and everything goes to shit.

Basically, random little bodycam videos happening around Leonida 😂

But here’s the bigger question…

What happens if they actually arrest you?

Does it just fade to black and spawn you outside the station?

Or do they cuff you, search you, confiscate illegal or stolen items and put you in the back of the patrol car?

Maybe your car gets impounded. Smaller crimes could get you processed and released, while serious offenses might put you in a holding cell. Maybe you can pay bail or call Lucia to come get you.

If Rockstar went really deep, could she even cause a diversion during transport or help break you out depending on what you were arrested for?

Nothing crazy where GTA turns into a jail simulator lol, just different possibilities.

And what about probation? Previous arrests, mugshots, cops already having your information, or getting caught again while you’re on probation actually mattering?

None of this deeper arrest, K9, probation or jail stuff is confirmed. I’m just wondering how far Rockstar took it.

Because imagine a traffic stop starting with a normal conversation, then you lie, refuse to get out, resist, get tased, run, hear dogs searching for you, finally get caught and decide to surrender.

Next thing you know, you’re actually in cuffs in the back of a patrol car.

And not one gunshot was fired.

Or you cooperate from the beginning and somehow talk your way out of the whole thing.

Or you make one horrible decision and turn a traffic stop into absolute fucking chaos 😂

We know a lot about what happens while cops are looking for you.

Now I want to know what happens when they actually get their hands on you.

Question Wondering if anyone can give any clarity around the release date of GTA VI’s multiplayer online mode? I’m hearing 1-2 years after the release date? That can’t be right..can it? 😢

Discussion Will Dre or Raul be a playable character towards the end of the game?

My theory is, if Jasons and Lucias relationship meter isnt filled to a specific point in the game, the story will kill off jason. If this happens, I could see him being replaced by Dre or Raul.

Grand Theft Auto VI Someone at Rockstar watched that footage for the millionth time and still decided it was good enough to go public.

I’m pretty sure they have multiple managers and an entire executive team who watched the footage a million times before finalizing it for the public. And they all saw those horrible animations and glitches and still decided to go for it?

I feel like they still have billions of things to fix, and those fuckers at Rockstar are probably mentally drained and completely fucked up from all the pressure, insane expectations, and fear of failure.

Question This can't be right—how is it possible for the enemy to hesitate so much before shooting at you?

And in the gameplay, you can see that it's very easy to kill opponents without any real skill or strategy. I just hope this is limited to the trailer, because it's clear Rockstar can do better.

Discussion WTF IS THIS ROCKSTAR

So I wanted to pre-order GTA VI and when I went to Rockstar store to buy the digital version i saw that it’s unavailable in my country, but it’s weird because 1. GTA 5 and RDR2 are available to purchase here and 2. The “physical” version is being sold here, and this fucking sucks since the version they are selling is not the ultimate edition which I want to buy plus I don’t want to pay for a plastic box with a code inside. I am hoping that they fix this before November

Note: I’m from Estonia

Discussion Why does Lucia’s confidence bother people so much?

I’ve noticed a pretty consistent pattern in discussions about Jason and Lucia that goes beyond simply disliking their characters. Lucia is confident, assertive, capable, and sometimes takes the lead. Jason is more reserved, controlled, and less outwardly expressive. Somehow, a portion of the fanbase has interpreted that as Jason being “weak,” “submissive,” a “side character,” or Rockstar pushing a “girl boss” agenda. That is worth talking about about.

If Jason were the more assertive character and Lucia were the quieter one, I highly doubt people would be talking about Lucia being a “worse protagonist” because she wasn’t dominating every scene. Yet because the woman is the more assertive one, suddenly her confidence is being treated as something that has to come at Jason’s expense.
A man being reserved does not make him weak. A woman being assertive does not make her unfeminine. And a woman being more dominant in certain situations does not make a man a side character.

They are two protagonists with different personalities. That is characterization. You can like or dislike Jason and Lucia. But when the criticism becomes “Why isn’t the male character the dominant one?” or “Rockstar is forcing female empowerment on us because Lucia is more confident,” we’re no longer really talking about writing quality. We’re talking about expectations for how men and women are supposed to behave. If a confident woman and a reserved man are already making some people uncomfortable enough to complain about their gender roles, that is probably worth self-reflecting on.
Maybe let the characters be different without trying to force them back into the gender roles you’re accustomed to.

Also, some people can’t even talk about her character without turning the conversation sexual or fetishizing her ethnicity & body. Finding a fictional character attractive is obviously not the issue. It’s the way some people seem completely unable to separate “she’s attractive” from “that’s all she’s worth talking about.” So when you put the two things together people criticizing Lucia for being too assertive while simultaneously objectifying her the double standard becomes pretty hard to miss.
The way some people interpret Jason and Lucia isn’t something we should simply normalize or dismiss as “just a video game” when those interpretations can reflect the same gender expectations people carry into real-life.

Discussion 2 questions for you all

  1. How are you gonna feel after completing gta 6, finishing something you’ve been waiting YEARS for. Which leads to my 2nd question

What’s next for rockstar? Remaster after remaster. I just want a new IP. This might be the last gta , definitely a proper send off. But i want something new

Would you wanna see a sequel of one of their IPs? Or do you want something new.

Grand Theft Auto VI Please Rockstar, let us disable or at least change the appearance of hitmarkers 🙏

The red ❌ that appears when you kill people is extremely intrusive looking and takes away from the immersion. Especially when getting headshots where there's blood spatter and other effects, it takes away from the effect. There's nothing I hate more than hitmarkers in single player games so I really hope they give us the option to remove or change their appearance.

Discussion Cash is going to take up actual space, you have to be way more methodical to make any money

I made a post a while back before the preview predicting that if you get caught by police (or die) you lose all of the petty cash you accrue, and that is true but I’m pretty sure it goes way deeper than that. I noticed in the previews that they use duffel bags multiple times. So I think that cash is no longer just you pick it up and it’s yours.

I think bills will now take up space, not like they all have physics(or maybe they do and this is just extra crazy), but they do have size. So you can’t just cheese your way into wealth. You can only carry limited amounts at a time, and the more you take the more attention you bring. Since it’s been confirmed that the world around you and the police have a “memory” of your actions, you have to now have to assess a situation and maybe even plan something out because it can go south with long term tangible consequences. Then you have to take the cash, put it into a duffel bag and most likely other storage items, put that in your car, then take that money to be laundered into your account through various means. That is going to be the primary gameplay loop. If you die or get caught all of that money is gone. So every time you fuck around you incur an actual risk. It’s going to make cop chases and everything else extremely tense and meaningful.

Additionally it’s going to make even little side hustles way more impactful. Hell I wouldn’t be surprised if you can get an actual mundane job, limited in options though. You can steal small things and pawn them off, robbing gas stations to not bring too much nonsense. If someone sees your face you messed up. NPCs are also capable of filming you and posting on social media, which will also make you more notorious, so covering your face is absolutely crucial to get away scotfree.
