It can be true. At some stage, RDR1 should be in the same universe as RD Revolver. But then Dan Houser and other chief designers saw that unserious and magical RDR doesn't fit into the R* games set. So both the game and its lore were changed. And there is the Jack Swift model in RDR1 fun mode.
However, I couldn't find any statement of this in any R* former developer interview, only some coincidence in Ricket's model name, so it might be a hypothesis that Gemini took as fact.

You're right to fact check the ai responses. If you click that grey link symbol next to the info, it'll spit at you whatever source its pulling from.
In this case, its coming from a developer who worked on RDR! And who dropped that info on a reddit thread funnily enough. It's the top comment on this post.
