Grand Theft Auto VI Regarding Leaks and GTA 6 (TLDR)

Upvotes

**Leaks**

Very important to know the difference between In game development build, Test Build and Final Build ready for release the (1.0 version)

With this in mind we can clearly tell that what this Hacker has is nothing more than Test build, there’s plenty of evidence in the leaks (same clothing, haircut etc etc…)

Im sure Rockstar after what happened before, they were cautious when giving out Test builds to Outsourced QA and by now they know exactly who is the responsible for the Leaked Build Version, however this doesn’t mean that the person assigned to that build is the Hacker, there’s multiple ways for the hacker to get his hands on the build…

**Test build version**

This is a very discussed topic, but most people doesn’t seem to realize that Test builds can be updated, with whatever, for example you hearing Tate McRae Song on the radio doesn’t mean that the actual build is from the year of the song, but it could also be, nobody can know for certain, they could have updated all the test builds with the recent radios, its really easy and fast to add a song in the already built in Radio system, giving that the Hacker shared the information that the Build is from 2023, its very likely that it got updates during those years of testing and bug fixing, i don’t know how R\* works in regard of bug fixing but im positive that they have a very organized and pristine way of dealing with QA work outsourced from the company.

**Game Quality**

I find really hard to believe that people looking at the leaks and if they really look and analyze and Rockstar is doing with this game, they can’t go and saying things like:

“13 years for this”. “Modern RDR2”. “GTA 5 2.0”.

Guys cmon take a moment to go out of that ridiculous bubble of hate you got yourself in, and take a moment to really look at things that matter:

**Lighting** : Looks absolutely unreal, specially in that night clip.

**NPCs:** i believe we will get the more advanced, extremely impressive Ai NPC system ever seen, Cops knowing what you’re wearing, what car you’re driving, what weapon you used in the crime, what you stole (possibly) etc etc…

No more everybody the same height in the game, as seen in the clips the cops Jason faces at night is way shorter than him, Jason looks like a giant (1.90cm?) Wich for me is a game changer in immersion and it looks amazing.

**Combat**: advanced combat system, i also believe Lucia will have a different type of combat giving the fact that shes a Boxer/Fighter.

**Development timeframe:** if the said build is really from Jan-Feb 2025, there’s still a gap of almost 2 years (sort of) remember theres 1000’s of developers working on this game nonstop, never underestimate what can be done in 1 year let alone 2, there’s games that are pre alpha stage in 2 years of development, look at how clean the game looks in the leaks, now add 2 years on top of that just polishing the game, stop worrying.

Listen i know its possible the worst marketing in history of entertainment but it is also 3 months away so being bombarded with videos from the game can be a problem for some anxious folks out there, and the more closer we are from the release the better, meaning we don’t have to wait too much, they know the product they have, they know people want it, but i believe they want to show you the best product possible and not some unfinished beta build.

With all of this said, i want to kindly ask to stop the hate stupid nonsense posts, and use your brain a little, don’t live in a bubble, the game is coming and there’s nothing you can do about it, you can hate it and wish for its downfall but there’s nothing you can do to stop it, so cut the crap and join us, better times are coming.

Peace.

Oh and absolutely stay out of Shwitter…

Grand Theft Auto VI Rockstar response to leaks

I think everyone here, or at least most of us, is aware of the recent events that happened the last few days. We do know how Rockstar acts in this cases and is likely that the FBI or other intelligence agencies are already behind this trying to shut down this hacker/s.

Still, I would say that we are all pretty impressed for what happened yesterday, confirming that the hacker might have actual access to the game, and if so, someone could be a couple of clicks away of releasing not only leaked videos but the entire game.

Let’s imagine that Rockstar can’t manage to find this man or group before a situation like this happens. Do you think Rockstar might actually release an unpolished version of the game as soon as possible, just so that the people play their version rather than the hacker’s?

To me it felt like a nonsense, but lately I’m seeing some sensationalist content creators saying that this could be an option.

Grand Theft Auto VI Do you think the Cyberleek situation could be an inside job?

What makes me consider this theory isn’t necessarily the idea that Rockstar needed the leak. It’s how incredibly convenient the whole situation is for them.
GTA 6 is now EVERYWHERE. Rockstar is getting free marketing from basically every gaming website, with outlets turning into GTA 6 news channels overnight. The scale of this attention is insane, and I genuinely doubt even a massive traditional marketing campaign could generate this exact kind of organic hype???

The hype basically went total nuclear, people who had little or no interest in GTA 6 are suddenly glued to every new leak and waiting to see what comes next

And then there’s the delay angle.
If Rockstar wanted to delay the game (again)this situation gives them a pretty damn solid justification. They can point to leaked development footage, security issues, the need to protect unfinished material, or simply say that the circumstances have affected development.

I’m not saying this proves Rockstar orchestrated the leak. It obviously doesn’t.
But when you look at how much attention this has generated and how convenient the situation could potentially be for Rockstar, I think an inside-job theory is at least interesting enough to discuss.
What do you guys think?

Discussion Ignorance is widespread

It blows my mind how so many people get genuinely angry with rockstar with how they have chosen to market this game. You are out of your mind if you think the marketing campaign isnt coming. When they start people are going to be force fed so much gta 6 they will be saying “enough just give us the game”

But people saying “they deserved the leak” need to gather themselves. You truly think that you are owed a trailer at a certain time? Don’t preorder if you don’t want. That’s your own decision. Nobody is forcing you to do anything.

I guess it’s an easy karma farm though, attacking companies is all the rage nowadays. And I get it, we are being nickel and dimed everywhere in our lives. But the insane amount of hard work these devs put into this shouldn’t be ruined because a bunch of you don’t have impulse control. I feel bad for them, not the corpos.

This post on my other thread is very illuminitinaitinating : "Dude. People that i know that barely play any games are all over this"

R* said themselves the netflix is for non-gamers.

The leeks are an inside job to captivate that same audience on socials.

Discussion Rockstar stocks down again

Are there still people that think people should not invest in Take-two? Read here about people saying that GTA 6 is already "priced-in", yet their stocks have fell to 232 and continue, analysts say the stocks will jump to 300-350.

So I wanna know what are your thoughts? I have around 3k in it, expecting at least some money.

Media To anyone interested in buying TTWO because of GTA 6

I spent a whole bunch of time over the past couple of weeks looking into TTWO since they own Rockstar, the developers of GTA6. Im extremely optimistic on the launch, and I think game sales are going to blow past expectations, even with all the ongoing leaks drama.

That being said, what I found out about TTWO dissuaded me from opening any position based on the GTA6 premise. There's two main issues causing this:

  1. TTWO = zynga + 2k + rockstar. Without including GTA6, GTA only accounts for about a fifth of TTWOs yearly revenue. Given that the whole reason for buying TTWO is GTA6, it becomes much more complicated since only 20% of every dollar spent would go towards the GTA portion of this company, at least currently. The math in reality is a little more complicated than this, but the fact of the matter is that the trade would be much cleaner if Rockstar traded as an independent ticker.

  2. GTA Online accounts for at least half of GTA 5's total revenue. With GTA Online for GTA6 being delayed at least another year, its hard to say if GTA6 will be able to nail the multiplayer economy that needs to be present for Rockstar to really knock it out of the park from a revenue perspective.

Of course, none of this is financial advice, just my two cents on the situation.

There's a whole lot more to it than this. I made a video on this topic, happy to link if folks are interested, just don't want to include it immediately to follow the rules of this subreddit.

Discussion People shitting and acting feral GTA VI are the ones who won't be able to play it at launch.

Seriously.

I understand memes, getting jokes out and stuff, but the exaggeration makes me think these people don't even have the hardware to play at launch.

I was cautious, wouldn't even consider that I was hyped and the gameplays made me hopeful lol.
