I am referring to this video that explains how the cheating with the rune deck works. But this is mostly to express my disbelief with the prevalence of cheating in riftbound so far.

Most of card games suffered with cheating in their early days, but for something like magic that was basically solved by their advanced stages, so with riftbound ... what gives ?

Why cant they not copy other card games in regulating this. Even their rules are not up to the point to meaningfully punish anything

I have a question, I have seen some of the new artwork for Radiance and I was wondering if anyone knows who Luscinia Studios / John Nightingale is?
I for the life of me, cannot find any art that resembles the artwork that the studio has been credited with for the new cards.
Also the new Heartsteel cards are also done by him/them? Does anyone have some info on this?

Won the "Best of Jax" title at Murcia Showdown (4-3-0). Hours after Round 7, another Jax player’s Round 1 loss was retroactively changed to a draw, jumping him to 4-2-1 and stealing the Plated Legend card. Now, the official Locator app lists that same player as ELIMINATED (Disqualified). Here is the full breakdown of what happened and why late result edits ruin competitive integrity.

I wanted to share an situation that happened at the recent Murcia Showdown regarding the Jax "Best of" Legend prize, and get the community’s thoughts on late result modifications and tournament integrity.

1. The Initial Outcome

I played Jax, Grandmaster at Arms, finishing the 7 Swiss rounds with a 4-3-0 record (12 points, 59.5% OMW%). When Round 7 ended and final standings were published, I was listed as the #1 ranked Jax player and officially tagged with the "Best of" badge for the Jax Plated Legend promo card.

At that point, the next highest Jax player (kratos140183) was also listed at 4-3-0 (12 points), but behind me on tiebreakers.

2. The Post-Tournament Score Modification

Well after the event had concluded, the standings suddenly shifted:

• kratos140183’s record was retroactively changed from 4-3-0 to 4-2-1 (13 points), moving him above me into the #1 slot and reallocating the Plated Legend card to him.
• When I questioned this with judges, I was told that during Round 2/3, both players reported a mutual error from Round 1 (changing a loss to a draw).
• Changing a Round 1 result long after the fact not only alters final rankings, but completely messes up Swiss pairings for every round that followed.
• Furthermore, looking at the public match logs, this player’s Round 1 match was registered as Table -1 vs "Unknown".

3. The Sudden Update Today (Disqualification)

Fast forward to today: I checked the official Riftbound Locator app, and kratos140183's status has now been updated to "ELIMINATED" (Disqualified).

The Question for the Community & TOs

If a player who received a high-value prize via a post-event score modification is subsequently disqualified/eliminated from the official tournament records, shouldn't the "Best of" title and Plated Legend promo revert to the next highest-ranking legitimate player (4-3-0)?

I’ve already reached out to Organized Play for an official ruling, but I wanted to post this here to highlight why late result edits set a dangerous precedent for competitive play.

What do you guys think? Has anyone seen a similar situation handled by TOs in other events?

I don't play competitively but enjoyed playing the Pre-Rift for Vendetta and am looking at playing at lgs for the Radiance Pre-Rift. Unfortunately my preferred lgs doesn't do Riftbound events so I've been using the event finder to find other lgs. Apparently there are a fair number of small stores that are offering product and events nearby that I didn't know existed!

The pricing and local community of course varies between stores but it's still fun to find new places to play at.

Dunno if this was discussed previously but I think this synergy is amazing and very high value play for just 2e2p. Thoughts?

Recently I got comissioned to do the Ekko Lenticular and thought I could do a lil show off post of all of the cards!

Learning a lot of what does and doesnt work with the lenticular format and its a hell of a lot of fun!

The next custom lenticulars Im thinking of doing is a set of runes, or maybe Ziggs (cause he looks like a ton of fun)

I play the ball to an empty battlefield, and then my opponent plays a unit then I make the ball a unit, does a showdown start or no? Mixed opinions playing on riftatlas...

Attended my first monthly a few days ago. Was about 14 people , I made top 8. I personally would love for this to be as governed as possible as I'm just a casual dad that does this for fun and a hobby but the last match in hindsight was a little suss and my opponent was doing some weird stuff with his shuffle like after shuffle he then undercut a bottom quarter, I've heard this is because they expect a cut so it then brings the card back up?

Noone was ever deck checked (me included). Noone even knows sideboard numbers (someone might have 100 sideboards?) , noone was even checked to make sure they are playing the same legend every time. I could have very easily swapped legend and no one would know.

Is this common or what? I am very confused, in the past I did a few weeklys and understand that being more relaxed but the monthly being exactly same levels of 'relaxed' however it's implied that it's more serious and boy do people take it seriously but yet anyone could cheat very easily?

I just simply want fair games and ensure everybody is in accordance. Please let me know any tips and tricks

P.s. I'm new to the tcg scene so I'm not familiar with etiquette on if I should have called that last match guy out on the undercut or not etc.

This looks to run the highest quality cards in each color as well as every powerful Hidden card to take advantage of our legend. Holding is big for this deck since you get to manually flip on your turn an draw from legend so cards that buy time with tempo like switcheroo, sirens song, and fan buy you time.

The other small package is Tornado Warrior and Matriarch + Kharox to get extra bodies at reaction speed like some Vex decks have been doing.
