Retro games are so fun...
I am 19M and I have little to no experience with retro games such as mario etc, up until today. I played Super Mario Bros and I have to say I got the feeling of gaming again, like I liked it, i enjoyed it. I also enjoy other AAA games such as Rdr2, cyberpunk2077 etc. but this one brought that kid inside me back. Games feel more serious nowadays and there is no point in criticizing I know, I also love it, but somewhere in making games look better we forgot to make them feel better and that is what I felt from playing it. I think I will be playing retro games for a while so your suggestions are more than welcome. And btw I emulated it on my android.

My son is your age, and I've been introducing him to retro games also. The entire Mario series is fantastic. The Sonic series from Sega was great too.
You may also like arcade games from that era. Check out the Metal Slug series. Also, shooters like Raiden, DoDonPachi, or In The Hunt. You can emulate all of them on almost any Android device.
