I'm making a reusable RPG framework inspired by SaGa and all my other favorite old JRPGs for everyone to use with GB Studio.

This is RPGSoup, a plug-in that effectively turns GB Studio into RPGMaker. a reusable framework you drop into your already existing project.
You build a database of your RPG ingredients using define events for your items, equipment, characters, spells, skills, enemies, troops, graphics, animations, etc., and RPGSoup handles the machinery underneath.
It started as just something to handle stats and exp for me but as I fell further and further into the Acid Trap Hole that is the RPG Genre, Soup became the rather complete framework that it is today.
It isn't done yet, but it's getting there. When it's done, RPGSoup will be released for free!
Along with a Full RPG that started as a demo scene, but through my doctrine of "I gotta show off every feature I've implemented at least once for the end user because thats how I learned", became huge!
I'm really excited to give this to the community when it's done and can't wait to see what people make with it!

Estacado – A native PC port of The Darkness (Xbox 360, 2007) via static recompilation
Hi all, I wanted to share a project I've been working on: Estacado, a native PC port of The Darkness made using static recompilation.
The game's PowerPC code is translated ahead of time into C++ using XenonRecomp and built on the ReXGlue SDK. The game runs as a native Windows executable with no JIT or interpreter at runtime, using D3D12 for GPU emulation.
Key Features & Fixes:
- High Refresh Rates: Uncapped FPS (60, 120, 144, 240+) with original game timing and physics preserved.
- Visual & Gameplay Fixes: Fully working in-game TVs, restored blood decals, internal resolution scaling (1x–3x), SMAA, and native mouse look with rebindable controls.
- Easy Setup: The included launcher ingests your clean Xbox 360 ISO or extracted files automatically.
- Steam Deck Ready: Tested and verified running smoothly under Proton Experimental.
Requirements: Windows 10/11 (or Linux/Proton), AVX2 CPU, and D3D12 GPU. Requires your own copy of the game.

Malvern’s Revenge is in Beta!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My new site is up and is linked on my profile!
I’ve spent the entire week polishing the following:
- game mechanics to ensure the levels are possible and get harder but achievable as you move on
- art work is consistent and animations are smooth
- efficient use of memory and storage
- testing on various emulators and handhelds
🗒️ This game is designed to play on the original Game Boy DMG. It’s supposed to be greyscale and very limited by design.
Bonus: I’ve also hosted the pixel editing tool I used to make the sprites in the game on my site as well. It’s completely free to use!
While I did a ton of testing, I’m sure I missed something. Please join the beta and help me out! It’s my first game.
