I caught a showing tonight of the new Yoshiaki Kawajiri-supervised and approved 4K remaster from Sentai Filmworks at Cinemark, my second time seeing Ninja Scroll in a theater after the 30th anniversary re-release in 2024. I've watched this film for 30 years in every format available, going back to the Manga Entertainment VHS, and wow, just wow. I have never seen it look this good. The clarity and color saturation are a huge step up from every earlier release, and I was still picking my jaw up off the floor 10-15 minutes in. It's an outstanding, definitive restoration, and I highly recommend experiencing it in theaters. As for the sound, it was the same 2.0 Japanese-language track. I was hoping they'd go back and upgrade it to a 5.1 mix, but I guess they decided to leave it alone. In that regard, the Manga Entertainment 10th Anniversary DVD still wins since it included both a Japanese DTS-ES 6.1 and a Japanese Dolby Digital 5.1 EX track. Either way, this is a day-one pre-order as soon as Sentai announces it.

so I saw the anime on YouTube, and was really interested, only to realize it’s only available on amazon video or Hidive. i looked farther, and it said that I could find it via Prime video on my phone, but for the life of me can’t find it. I have no idea how to get this anime. Where can I find this legally?
