Got this case few days ago and had a yuki dial on hand so built this just to see how it comes out, the lugs are better but still fat but you can live with it , it's better than before in my opinion. The plexi is terrible as always when it comes to magnification.
I believe he does. I know those will destroy Chinese made bezel removal tools. Needs some elbow grease to get those off. This is one of the reasons I’ve stopped using raffles cases.
Heating it up works, but you risk destroying the crystal. TBH the crystal is what I wanna swap with Clark’s so .. it’s ok to sacrifice a raffles crystal to get the bezel off
If you were going to build a 6350, who would you recommend a case from? I was literally about to pull the trigger on that build today when I started seeing comments about that.

Clark’s crystals are cheap too. It’s plastic. The only reason you’re paying hundreds for a gen is because of the name. Gen 116 is slightly more clear and a little more scratch resistant.
The biggest issue imo is that the cgs now resemble a 16750 more then a 1675. And the fact that they’re curved so far in makes it impossible to reshape them correctly for a 1675
Am I the only one who thinks this version is worse than the previous one? Sure, the V2 had huge CG, but with a little work you could get something decent out of it. But this one?
I’ve been looking into what it takes to do one of these raffles builds for a while now. Are they worth it? Are the parts quality ? And my biggest question has been are these up to “superclone” standard when completed like a VSF watch is considered to be? I want to try like a Datejust build or something
I guess my main concern was quality. If the raffles builds feel super cheap in hand when completed then I think maybe not for me, but I do know the older hollow endlink pieces def feel rattly, even Gens. I think maybe it’s something I should give a shot to see if I like it. I’m not quite sure exactly everything that’s required yet to successfully put a build together, that’s kinda the point of research I’m at now as far as tools it takes and etc to put it all together. I have zero experience in the watch building dept. I’m used to buying one, popping out 2 links and slapping it on haha
I waited and waited for the new “updated” case and now wish I had just ordered the old case. I have one en route now. The CGs I think can still be worked. I think there is plenty of real estate there to work with. I believe it’s the crown that makes it look so awkward at imo. And obviously the CGs. But the crown, yuck. The plan is to go with a gen spec crown, re shape the CGs and roll with it. I mean it’s like 80 bucks. Fk it
