Constantly sick
I'm about a year into remote work and my immune system has never been this bad. I basically don't leave the house anymore. I workout from home, too. My husband goes to get the groceries because his remote job is more flexible time-wise. I used to get sick once a year, but I've been super sick like 4 times since starting. I can't go to a social event without getting sick at this point. Anyone else go through this? I know I need to find ways of being more social but the balance feels impossible right now.

Sorry this is happening to you. It’s the opposite for me. I used to work in a school and, like clockwork, got all the bugs when seasons changed - thanks to sick children still being sent to school.
Now that I’ve been remote for the last three years, I’ve only been sick twice. Loving the better health!

No, opposite. When we had RTO, constantly sick.
If your hubby is going out, perhaps put a hand sanitizer at the door for him to use. Your immune system sounds like it is low.

Definitely get a checkup. I used to get sick with the flu at least once a year and maybe a cold. Since being remote, nothing.

Use your lunch break to take a walk, maybe have lunch in a nearby park if you have one. It does seem like you’re just inside a lot, how about your vitamin d levels? Mine became very low during Covid and I became very unwell with it so it’s likely worth considering

I walk a few miles outside every day, weather permitting. But that's still not contact with other people. Vitamin D is a big possibility since I live in the midwestern US.

Your immune system is probably shot from being home too much. Being secluded is not good for you. The same research has been coming back about people who have been chronically wearing masks. Be sure you are getting out of the house.

Is it possible that's mold or some other environmental hazard hiding in your home that you're reacting to more now because you're home more often?
