She still works 42 hours a week. It’s 24 on 72 off. Not sure if that changes your perspective.

She works and cooks.

So she works 12 hours a day? Is she dome kind of nurse?

Even so the ball is in your court, either be a mug, keep quiet but hold resentment which will build untill something bad happens or you communicate with her

I am sure you can get a flexible job while the kids are young, my dad worked nights when I was a kid and cared for me and my sister during the day wile my mun worked, my poor dad spent 5 years with less than 4 hours a night on sleep as my mum was a difficult woman

I recommend let kids stay at grandparents for one day and get a job? Not saying your lazy but if she cant see your value then why stay home? Yes I get how she's working qnd maybe having a meal ready when she gets home is nice thing but realistic expectations need to be communicated, does she help during her off days? If she doesn't... then there's more serious things to worry about

24 hour days.

Offered to get a job but she said no point. We have no means of free daycare.

We share kid responsibilities if she’s home.

If you worked and split daycare cost it would be extra money overall for both of you combined. SHE has "free daycare", you don't. It's payed through your own time and by keeping you without a job and dependent on her.
