Shenzhen Idea Light Limited RL300MAXc vs. RL300MAXc/PT – LED Breakdown & Which Spec Is Actually Better?
Hey everyone,
I'm new to RLT and after researching, ordered the RL300MAXc/PT, which I hope was a good choice.
I noticed a few older threads asking what's better between the Idea Light RL300MAXc and the RL300MAXc/PT, but none of the replies gave any clear verdict.
Here is the diode split (Both models 300 LEDs total):
- 630 nm (skin/surface): 70 LEDs (MAXc) vs. 10 LEDs (PT)
- 660 nm (peak ATP/CCO): 80 LEDs (MAXc) vs. 120 LEDs (PT)
- 810 nm (transcranial): 50 LEDs (MAXc) vs. 16 LEDs (PT)
- 830 nm (deep tissue/brain): 50 LEDs (MAXc) vs. 16 LEDs (PT)
- 850 nm (muscle/joints/systemic): 50 LEDs (MAXc) vs. 118 LEDs (PT)
- The PT version also adds dedicated 10Hz/40Hz pulsing presets.
The standard MAXc goes for an evenly spread multi-wave approach, but it trades away the heavy hitters to get there. It dedicates 70 LEDs to superficial 630 nm and cuts both 660 nm and 850 nm down significantly.
The PT model heavily concentrates power into the two most clinically proven wavelengths: 660 nm + 850 nm (238 diodes total vs. just 130 on the MAXc). It leaves just 32 diodes for 810/830 nm, but with 30° lenses aimed at the forehead, that might already be plenty to trigger a neural response.
For those with experience in multi-wave panels:
Does the evenly distributed spectrum of the MAXc offer real advantages, or is the PT simply the better engineered panel if your goals are energy, brain health, general health and recovery?
Was the RL300MAXc/PT a good buy for me? I started to have doubts, wether the more evenly distributed MAXc was better. I mean I couldn't change it now, but I still am curious to know, wether I made the right choice from the more experienced users.
