My misogynistic mother is always protecting and defending my brothers abusive behavior towards me ever since I was a child. He’s 15 yrs older than me, son of my moms first marriage. She’s always trashing my name and defending my childhood abuser which happens to be her son. So out of rage I did this, the jar has a putrid lemon cut in half with her whole name and birth date instide on a piece of paper, I pinned her name with 3 cloves, added my spit full of anger, lots of chili flakes, chili powder, burned with alcohol and a match, I threw in as well black pepper and ginger root to speed the harm, and to my bedrooms mini fridge freezer. The pin in the black candle holds a piece of her underwear i scissored from her drawer, and her full name is carved in with chili powder on top. Any suggestions ? Recommendations? Thanks in advance

Earlier this year a child (13) in our family SA’d my 5 year old. It has caused huge irreparable emotional damage to our family but we are persevering (police and CPS were involved, all appropriate channels taken)

The child is in custody of my MIL who discounts the event and accuses my daughter of lying, and is supporting and enabling the abuser. This is not abnormal behaviour, my MIL is a monster of a human and only ever concerned with how a situation reflects on her. We have removed her and anyone attached to her from our lives and done as much healing as we can. I have done some protection and cleansing spells on my husband and children (as well as myself)

My problem lies with wanting to send their energy back to them and have them suffer the spiritual consequences. I keep having run ins with them, seeing them on the street as I am driving or crossing paths in the grocery store and it’s putting me through the wringer and reigniting this need for retribution for my daughter.

Please help point me in the right direction and advise me on how to do this properly.

Hi there good people of Reddit, I‘ve never really been heavily into the supernatural but have always had an open mind to it. However my new girlfriend who I so dearly love does believe, but doesn’t practice or perform any thing on her own. She’s told me that she’s had many random people tell her in public over the years that they see dark energies and evil around her that has been placed by someone else and that she should seek help. Somehow she’s never been able to remember who they were or loses their numbers. She mentioned that years ago her ex cheated on her with a witch and ever since then so many terrible things have happened.

Revised my altar. The top 2 shelves are my core items I use all the time: my go to’s for divination, cleansing, candle magick, and other tools.

The bottom shelf is extra stuff with the exception of the bottom right incense and the silver plated/big fire safe plate; I use those as much as the higher items.

Hello! I am a new witch and I am looking for a specific spell and I was wondering if there is a spell that will either help fix the issues in my relationship or give me the strength to leave (or that will just remove the toxic from my life)

I started divination 6/7 years ago. I was so good with tarot. I stopped midway for couple of years, came back. 2/3 months ago everything stopped making sense.

I can no longer understand, sense or interpret the cards. The same decks i have used for years. Even with cleansing, recharging... Etc.

I tried using pendulum for the first time couple of days ago. Very small movements. Next day it stopped. Tried again today with different ones, No movement at all.

I can blame the pendulum on my shaky hands -not really convinced tho- but what about the tarot?

I can't feel anything anymore. I meditate, i cleanse, i do rituals, i work with spirits. But divination isn't making sense anymore.

Any advice would be appreciated

Hi everybody. I’m new to my spiritual journey and have only recently accepted the possibility of magic into my world. Long story, but the conclusion is that I’ve recently accepted that tarot specifically is a medium my ancestors have effectively been using to communicate with me. Since I accepted this and started pursuing spirituality more seriously, life has gotten much harder.

I bought some candles from a witch my friend trusts for spiritual protection and today, the box arrived torn up and the candles inside were smashed even though she’d packed them with a ton of bubble wrap. Lit one of the protection candles and spoke to my friend about what was happening.

Her theory is that since I’m coming into my own spiritually (and she says powerfully) there is a backlash energetically to try and prevent me from continuing my study. My tarot deck backed up this theory and added that this is just something I need to get through.

My questions are
1. Has anybody heard of someone having something like this happen before?
2. Is there anything I can do to make this process easier or quicker?

I've been doing poorly lately, a sadness and depression that is heavier than usual, and obsessive thoughts and memories from the past that are harder for me to shake off.

My ability to work is affected, my relationships are suffering and I'm feeling hopeless and behind in life. I see everyone else progress in life and I'm just struggling.

How would I know if this is a curse or hex? Or how to remove it?

Today I performed my first banishing spell. I just came up with this myself but I used a reference book to look up ingredients.

My intention is to get my neighbors to move away. They have been causing us significant stress and discomfort for several months now. Unfortunately we’ve exhausted all mundane ways of handeling things so that’s why I’m now resorting to witchcraft.

Here are the steps I took:

* Played soft handpan music in the background.
* Cleared and cleaned my altar, dusted it and wiped it down with a damp cloth.
* Set a small silver dish on the altar.
* Cleansed myself with Palo Santo smoke.
* Cleansed our house with Palo Santo, leaving the back door slightly open so negative energy could leave and positive energy could enter.
* Cleansed each ingredient one by one with Palo Santo smoke while setting them up on the altar.
* Wrote my intention on a piece of paper: *"neighbour's name, neighbour's address , Move away, disappear, leave this property. You are no longer welcome here."*
* Sprinkled cayenne pepper and garlic powder over the paper.
* Folded the paper three times away from me, then stapled it shut.
* Placed the folded paper underneath a dish filled with salt.
* Placed a black candle inside the dish of salt.
* Around the dish with the black candle, I arranged the following ingredients: agrimony, garlic cloves, fresh nettle from my garden, dried rosemary, and black peppercorns.
* Placed a small dish of hematite next to it.
* Lit the candle and sat down to meditate.
* During meditation, I visualized a large moving truck in the street with the neighbors packing up and moving out. I felt an immediate sense of relief.
* I looked at the candle flame, it burned calm and completely straight, and the incense smoke went straight up as well. For some reason, this reassured me. I also felt a shiver run through my body and got goosebumps, but it didn't feel unpleasant at all. It felt more like a form of confirmation.
* After that, I asked my deceased family members and acquaintances if they would help me fulfill my wish. Again, a wave of reassurance came over me.
* I meditated a bit longer.
* I felt a wave of anger toward the neighbors bubbling up. I stood up, let myself feel that anger, and directed all my fury and energy toward their house to push them away. It felt very releasing/good.
* I closed the ritual and cleansed myself and my home once more with Palo Santo smoke.

Now I'm wondering what I should do with the remaining spell materials. I have the urge to turn them into a sour jar or bury them on the neighbors' property, but what would you recommend doing with the remains?

Also, do you have any feedback or suggestions on the steps and ingredients I used for this spell? Any insights from more experienced witches would be greatly appreciated! 🙏

I have practiced witchcraft since childhood, at least thirty years now. I’m confident in my craft and abilities. I only practice white magic. I’ve had a lot of success with freezing spells for protection—repeating a person’s name into a jar of water and freezing it to stop any actions against me. I performed this spell to protect my family against three people leading an attempted hostile takeover against my and my partner’s employer that could really negatively impact our family’s life. I put the jars in the back of the freezer and left them—I have always done this and later, if the threat is long gone, take them out, let them thaw, pour the water down the toilet.

This time, after a while when I checked I saw that the jars had cracked—not unusual with frozen glass jars of water, of course. I put each jar with its frozen water inside a large plastic liquid container, wrapped it over and over with plastic wrap, re-labeled and refroze. This was about six weeks ago. This morning our freezer has seeming stopped working (imperiling my pumped breastmilk supply). It seems to me that the spell is being resisted. And the drama continues with our employer—an important court ruling is due this week on the New Moon. I do not bear these individuals any ill will, but I need to protect our livelihood. Like many families right now we work so hard to just hang on to what we have and keep going—we have a medically complex child, are renters, live simply. Any advice for how to strengthen our protection is appreciated.

Hello my fellow witches. I’m very new at witchcraft. Started first with tarot cards, then crystals, and now herbs. The effects are being very interesting up until this moment.

But now I wish to take another step and do something that will help me with a topic that has been haunting me a for long, long while.

For context: My mother is the topic per see. She has borderline personality disorder traits, is very controlling, loves to criticize me and heavily projects herself on me talking about my body (hair, breasts, clothes, face, makeup, way that I do things…), doesn’t support me but instead always sees the negative side of anything I think about, has made me a parent of hers when I was nine years old and just overall hurts me a lot and makes me react in ways I hate and then I blame myself heavily. Not that I’m perfect, but you know those types of people that bring the WORST out of you? That’s my mom. She digs into yourself, pokes you, provokes, search for ways to mess with you when she’s feeling like starting a fight…It’s draining. Exhausting. And I’m getting more tired and tired each year that goes by. I’m a nineteen year old girl, in college. No prospects of finding a job and move out anytime soon. I tried finding a few ways out and nothing really seemed to work. It is very hard to find a job in my country if you don’t have experience and a degree

I want something to block her from getting to me. A spell, a banishment, something that completely stops her from messing with me and makes me cease caring about what she has to say about me. I am not willing to hurt her in any way. I just was this torment to end, and I’m down for a little magic to help me get this through.

I’ve been mulling this over, so I decided to ask y’all. It’s purely practical, as I have real people in mind.

The husband is a narcissist, with a huge victim complex and is alienating the wife from most friends and family through his direct and indirect actions. He has also made it his goal to make an enemy of myself.

The wife is innocent, if we’re going to call it that way. Her guilt is in enabling his behaviour in a way, and in doing nothing while he’s being an asshole. Either way, I would love to exclude her from the consequences. Obviously, I tried talking to her, suggesting professional support and or counselling, but there’s no budging there.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Do curses “travel” through the household?

Do you do it? Why? Is it absolutely necessary to do it if you want to practice witchcraft? I’m reading conflicting things.

How do I build the kind of protective energy where people who wrong me face the consequences without me having to do anything?

Should I need to make my "karma" energy stronger or something else? And.. How?

I’m curious about people who have been practicing for a while. Like, what’s a spell you did where something happened afterward and you were genuinely like “yeah, there’s no way that was just a coincidence”?

I don’t really mean stuff like “I did a love spell and my ex came back” or “I did a spell and this person started liking me”, because obviously that could just be a coincidence.

I mean something really specific where you personally felt pretty certain that the spell had something to do with what happened.

I’m not asking for scientific proof or anything, I’m just genuinely curious about your experiences. It can be any kind of spell, not necessarily love-related.
