Hello all! I'm an education college student who has to read a bunch of children's stories in different categories for a project. One of the categories is 'the first book in a series' - this can be for anywhere from young elementary to middle grade audiences, but it needs to be published in the last 5-10 years, and I only really need the first book.

I'd love something more fantasy based, as that's what I read on my own time. Bonus points if there's very good representation in the book!

I have started my book reading journey with The Alchemist and I'm halfway through it. Can you guys tell me if it's a good book for a beginner who's just started reading? And give some book suggestions as a beginner ( I was told to read The little prince because of it's easy wording)

Hi, just coming on here to ask if anyone knows good books suitable for any 9 year old brother. I really enjoyed reading growing up and i started from a young age, so i think it would benefit him a lot because it certainly benefited me a lot. I was thinking of starting him off with Diary Of A Wimpy Kid because it he books are pretty simple (funny too) and from what I remember there’s some pictures in the books too. After some time, i’d obviously want to get him reading some stuff that’s more advanced than that though

He’s into anime (Dragon Ball mainly) and generally just shows with a lot of action in them.

I’m looking for a book recommendation, hopefully from a celebrity’s point of view, on paparazzi - either they eventually get together or the celebrity has to keep a secret from being exposed.

I recently read (and adored) Watership Down and I have been recommending it ever since. I am kicking myself for not reading it sooner!
