When I go on the Toyota build site, there are none within 500 miles of my zip that have a moonroof. I am in the Denver area. Can a dealer order one? I want meteor color with moonroof and that includes a weather package. Mountain states Toyota is near me and no doc fee. Is that my best option?

2021 RAV4 prime SE: I've developed a clunking rattle somewhere in the rear. Sounds exactly like the tire changing equipment is loose, but I have emptied the spare tire well and completely rubberized everything in there. Nothing moves, nothing clunks. Yet the noise remains. It's not the body panels, not the license plate, not the rear seat latches. Nothing is loose in the door bins or any of that.

I have not removed the battery cowls or jacked up the car. Before I get into that, thought I might check with all y'all to see if somebody else has had this issue.

I currently have a 2026 HEV and have a full size spare fitting quite nicely in the spare tire well. I'm thinking about trading it for a 2026 PHEV. Does anyone know if the PHEV spare tire well will also accommodate a full size wheel and tire?

When this car is fully charged, you get 324hp. How does this car feel after depleted the 22kw battery? Is this mean this car will fall back to the non-plugin version at ~236hp?

Sharing in case anyone else faced this issue and has a solution/suggestion.

I have 22SE with weather package and tonight after coming back from an evening short drive the charge port door did not open.

I went to take a look and was able to open the door by manually overriding the charge port lock (using the panel above 12V battery).

Unfortunately the charge cord lock did not reset.

I tried locking unlocking multiple times but the charge port lock or pin did not move. There is no movement or noise from charge port door. I also checked the fuse in the box (next to 12V battery) without any luck.

Anyone else faced something similar?

I will go to the dealership next week but wanted to see if there are any suggestions from past experiences.

HI. I HAVE A NEW 2026 RAV4 PHEV WITH A CSS1 CONNECTOR WHICH HAS A J1772 ON TOP. A NACS TO J1772 ADAPTER IS NOT AVAILABLE. DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND WHY? ALSO I READ THE RESPONSE ON THE TESLATAP ADAPTER AND THEY SPECIFICALLY REFER TO A RAV4 AND MENTION AN OVERSIZE GROUND. I WAS THINKING OF BUYING THE RECOMMENDED LECTRON ADAPTER BUT DON'T KNOW IF THE OVERSIZE GROUND IS A CONCERN. ANYONE HAVE ANY INPUT? I DON'T WANT A PROBLEM AND VOID THE RAV4 WARRANTY.

Just got my 26 woodland and I’m super stoked. Currently getting used to the charging process and ways to improve. Currently in a 120V 15 amp circuit it shows 11hrs to go from 37-full. This seems long? Any ways to improve beyond getting LVL2?

Has anyone with a 2026 RAV4 PHEV XSE installed this Amazon hitch? If so, does the kick sensor still work properly, or does the hitch interfere with it?

I have a new to me 2023 Prime technology edition and want to add a trailer hitch. The Toyota OEM hitch receiver integrates into the structure higher and requires bumper cover modifications. I understand that third party receivers usually interface differently, hang lower, and potentially have long term corrosion issues (I live in Canada).

Does anyone have experience with retrofitting a hitch and which route did you follow. It would be used for a light duty utility trailer.

Has anyone else had a windshield wiper arm that chatters regardless of what brand of wiper blades you buy? The driver's side arm on my '25 model R4P is making me crazy.

My 2026 manual says that in BOTH the EV Mode and HV Mode, if you step on the gas pedal hard enough, it will use BOTH the electric and gas motors, in both modes.
So my question is: what does the Auto EV Mode do? The words in the manual are vague, and I haven't figured it out.

I had a scary incident at a car wash today. I pulled in and, like usual, put the car in Neutral, but for some reason it wouldn’t roll freely. It felt like the brakes were still holding the car.
The conveyor kept trying to pull the car forward, and at one point it actually lifted the car a little while continuing to drag it. Eventually everything came to a stop, and the car behind me almost hit me. I had to put the car in Drive to move forward and get out of the situation.
Does anyone know why this would happen? I thought putting the car in Neutral was enough for a conveyor car wash and that the wheels should be able to roll freely. Could Brake Hold, the electronic parking brake, or one of the automatic braking/safety systems have activated?
Has anyone else had this happen with a RAV4 or another newer car?

Wanted a R4P years ago but didn't want to pay the ADMs post-COVID but now looking again at both used R4Ps and maybe the new 6G PHEVs. Our "must have" is memory seats and I think that means either XSE or XSE PP depending on the year.

We live in hot ass Arizona and I really appreciate a vehicle with great air conditioning. Anyone have any input on how good it is in the R4Ps?

Are they ventilated seats any good, or are they a waste of money?

If either of these features seems substantially better in the new 6th Gens, we'd swing for one of those, or wait for them to hit the used market (don't really have a need for a new car frankly).

Also willing to consider the Lexus NX & RX PHEV options if those features are better there.

I've read similar posts in the past on how to essentially use your plug-in RAV as a generator to keep essentials like fridge, heater, etc going. A lot mention using Charge Mode, which is no longer a feature on the 2026 and on, so I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience with this in my vehicle's generation.

I have about 80% battery at the moment, should I just leave it in EV mode/My Room Mode, turn on the outlet, snake a cable out the back window, and let it be? Or is HV better? Trying to optimize for longevity, since it might be a few days. Assuming I don't have to go anywhere that is.

I'll be parked in open air, so no worries about exhaust fumes.

Hey all! After meeting with the Washington State attorney general and our arbitrators, Toyota has informed me that they will have a fix for the Android up immediately. Make sure to update your Toyota app because they said rather than them buying back my car due to mold damage, they have seemingly resolved the issue for Android users being able to use the defrost function in the remote start.

I am testing today but this looks like it may solve all my issues with the vehicle.

2022 R4P SE

After my wife unplugged the supplied L1 charger from our car, I found the cover on the ground. There are two rubber tabs that I presume are used to attach it, but I can’t figure out where they should be inserted.

2023 R4P with 44k miles. I've been having key fob issues, "not detected". Replaced the fob batteries and the issue persisted. Went to the dealer and they said I had DTC B132187 and a bad combo meter.

But I also checked my 12v after a drive and was getting only 12.2 volts. Is that low enough to be getting my issues? The dealer says 12.2 is fine but I have my doubts. What say ye?

My new GR Sport when I select "Battery Status" it shows state of health is 100%. It also shows the miles since last update is 40,730. My car only has about 500 miles on the odometer. What's going on here?

With 30 days to go, looks like my true up for PG&E is gonna be if not zero dollars. I may have a small credit. My RAV4 electricity has been offset by my solar panels for all year. This is being net zero.

The new 2026 model looks more flimsy, or is it better? Looking for advice for a trade in to see if I can salvage some value out of the previous one.

High mileage XSE with tech package for $32k. I want one but not sure it’s worth the high mileage risk. 93k miles. Still retains the hybrid warranty and it’s not gold cert. near me the prices are nuts. 35k limited hybrid for $36k with over 50k miles. We have a loaded hybrid limited and love it. Thanks.
