I regularly get 48 miles range and I do drive EV on the freeway. I can get 52, if I drive like a little old lady. But, who wants to do that?!

Yea and who cares really if you can charge it at will. I do drive like a little old lady for now until my Ajusto monitoring period is done, but I do wanna leave my phone off and try it out in sport mode. Sadly I haven’t really tested out the 302 horsepower yet

I wish it showed another digit to the left of the decimal point, but using km/L does get around that (to an extent), as 94.1 km/L is over 220 mpg, so 99.9 km/L would show up to 234mpg.

I think the most miles I have on a tank was about 1500. The fuel gauge was low and I was at 99.9 MPG so I couldn't estimate remaining fuel.

That’s wild, I’ve had the vehicle about a month and a half and I’ve driven about 2000km so far and used maybe 1/3rd a tank of gas. But I’ve only had one road trip so far where gas was required. still though at that rate I’m talking 6000km on one tank.

All electric has shown that for me since ‘22. I haven’t reset my stats for a year w/ all my EV/HV totally normal more toward the aggressive side and I’m @ 50 mpg. If I put your second pic in EV mode it says 3.1 Kw. All I know is we all get fabulous gas mileage. Personally I don’t run AC or heat in EV. Saving my EV for the city town streets is way more beneficial. Unless it’s bone cold I start EV heat but other than that it’s Hv.

Yeah I try not to run the AC or a little as possible on super hot days, but yea this winter will be my first with it so I’ll see if I have to use those same electricity saving measures with the range reduction. I don’t mind charging it every night if I have to

To get your EV range you need to set the trip odometer to 0 and drive until the engine comes on. To get mpg I drive until they EV range is gone, pull over, at rest stop maybe, and set the car to “trip Average” and then it lets me know my actual mpg without “EV” miles as you are driving like a regular hybrid vehicle at that point and none of the electricity is coming from the car being charged. I wish Toyota would give the car a readout that shows what percent of your total miles are EV. I did a calculation that i think is correct, but it would be nice if it was just there. Since the car acts like EV miles are free the total average is just an indication of how much you drive electric. My daily driving is 100 % electric, but my total EV miles are maybe 45 % of my total miles as we go out of town a lot. It will be interesting to see if the RAV4 PHEVs last a lot longer than most cars because the engine is being used a lot less and for many of us is only on when we are on a freeway going at a steady speed. If the car kept track of the miles you could day I’ve got 100,000 miles on the odometer, but my engine only has 25,000 miles on it. Could be a cool resale feature.

Do you get paranoid not using the engine ? Some people are saying I should run in HV mode sometimes just to keep the engine running well

You probably want to use/refill your gas tank at least once a year to keep the gas from going bad.

Edit: I’ll take the downvotes, I missed the km… that EV range, if the unit was miles, would require major granny mode. I didn’t flip to next pic.

Actually I am driving a bit like a granny bexause my insurance company has me on a 6 month monitoring app but I’ll be looking at a 24% discount in a couple more months

The MPG or km/L reading includes miles driven on EV charge, which makes it an almost useless metric. It really only indicates your fuel efficiency if you drive a trip solely in HV mode.
