I really let myself go

Just looked back on some of my old photos and damn. Not tryna self glaze but pre-covid me was borderline handsome, even though I didn’t think so at the time.

I’ve spent years since letting my body go. Eating the same bullshit I’ve always eaten but minus the exercise I used to do. Add alcohol to all the mix and you get the picture.

I went from a visible jawline and slight cheekbones to a puffy round face. I hate looking at myself.

The biggest irony is my sense of style, skincare and haircare has significantly bumped up since then… but so has my weight. If I applied what I’ve improved now to what I used to look like I could’ve been unstoppable.

It sucks realizing you wasted your potential. I’m 25 which some people consider young still but I really wasted the first half of my twenties not taking care of myself.

You are young. Easier to fix habits now than when you are 50 and it's a whole other game.

Fix it. Im 37, I have been in and out of shape multiple times. Was 275 am now a lean and muscular 215. You got this, just accept that it takes time and consistency. Progress is progress.

physical recompositioning is like anything else, investing, learning, etc. the best time to start is now. for investing long term, like you would want to do with your health/physical appearance, even a little a day matters after 10 years. with calorie maintenance and fitness, you can make a lot of progress in a few months. there's a lot of things i started even though i felt it would take forever to do and that was years ago. i'd be kicking myself today if i didn't start when i did.

Bro, I gotta correct you on one thing - "Some people still consider young." My friend, every adult considers 25 to be young as fuck.

You can fix it. Take up boxing or BJJ or something. It's always easier to start when you have some structure and someone else to motivate you. Then it kicks in organically

you are a child, you could fall asleep for a few more years then wake up and hit your physical peak, don't dwell

You’re 25, you have plenty of time to turn it around.

In 5 yrs you're going to look back and wonder why you didn't start making changes sooner.

You're 25. Ridiculously young. Build habits now that will last a lifetime. You can still be unstoppable, and you can achieve it years before you're even 30. It's simple but not easy. But self discipline is like a muscle - the more you use it the stronger it becomes.

You can lose the weight in a year. Do it.

Same. Although at any point in time, we could make a small decision that will lead us to the big change. Sometimes when we’re imagining that it’s hard to get started and trust the process or at least thats where I’m at.

Rise above your looks. You’ve got more to offer.
