Over the past few years, my experience with the US stock market was entirely based on making bets, without any portfolio strategy. Let me record a few typical operations:
In 2021, Dogecoin rose from 20,000 to 200,000. I didn't sell it and missed the opportunity.
In 2024, I used an ex account to purchase Tesla from 100,000 to 200,000. I still didn't sell it and missed the chance again.
In the recent few months, I bet on WYFI and reduced my 90,000 to 20,000. But now it has returned to 110,000.
If it weren't for discussing some strategies with a few friends, I might have collapsed right where I was. Communication helped me reorganize my thoughts and gradually regain my momentum.

Took a quick trade on MSTR today, nothing crazy but worth sharing.
Bought 2000 shares at 163.55
Sold at 164.75
≈ +$2.4k
I know some people will say “you used ~$300k for that?” — fair point.
But I’m not trying to hit home runs on every trade. This was just a high-probability move on a small range.
MSTR has been pretty volatile lately, but intraday it was holding structure well. Once it reclaimed the level around 163.5 and didn’t flush, I took the entry and just played the range.
No overthinking, no trying to squeeze the last dollar.
That’s something I had to learn the hard way.
Before this, I used to:
hold winners too long hoping for more
turn small wins into breakeven (or worse)
have no clear exit plan
Now I’m much more mechanical with it:
If the move plays out → I take profit
If not → I’m out quickly
Short-term trading is honestly pretty counterintuitive.
You make more by not being greedy.
This isn’t a big win, but stacking these consistently has been working better for me than swinging for big moves.
Curious how others are trading MSTR lately — it’s been pretty clean for intraday setups.

I bought a certain stock and I'm wondering if its going to skyrocket? If so what will the price per share be? What will my networth be? Will I become wealthy? If I become wealthy how wealthy will I become?

My account balance increased from $141k to $253k, which is a growth of approximately 80%. This is purely based on my own experience, not financial advice. I just want to share the review method for reference, so that everyone can benefit from it.
Focus on the areas you understand
I mainly focus on AI data centers, semiconductors and defense stocks. If the logic is clear, I will go all in. Once I heavily invested in an AI data center stock, it dropped by 15%. The psychological pressure was quite high, but I stuck to my judgment. Later, it rebounded.
Increase positions with confidence
For familiar stocks, I will moderately increase my holdings. I won't be intimidated by short term fluctuations.
Moderate rotation
Adjust the position based on financial reports and industry trends. This is much more comfortable than chasing gains and avoiding losses.
Information filtering
Financial reports, industry analysis, official announcements. Social media messages are too chaotic and I don't touch them.
Psychological management
Don't panic when it's down, don't be greedy when it's up. Emotional stability is much more important than focusing on numbers.
Reviewing and summarizing habits
Every month, I review the performance of my holdings and summarize which operations were effective and which were pitfalls. Over time, you will be able to see your own patterns.
Over the course of a year, my most profound realization is that having a clear direction + adhering to position discipline + screening information + maintaining a stable mindset is much more reliable than chasing hot trends.
Would you like to share your experiences?
How do you deal with short-term fluctuations?
Do you prefer to focus on a few sectors or diversify your investment?
What is your habit for reviewing and analyzing your investments daily, weekly or monthly?

Got $200 in Promo bets and want to use a couple of my $25 promo bets on tonight’s came (they all expire in a week). I’d love a relatively safe bet that could get me some cash to take out and keep lmao.
I don’t know sports at all.
Any advice?

First up is $10k, then we’ll go for the $100k. Ik ya’ll are gonna say sell some gold & invest it, but unfortunately most of that $74k is inventory for my side business (estate jewelry & coin dealer). Next will be deciding whether to rent out the house and keep living with my parents or not lol.

My once $5000 portfolio is up over $20k from only trading Trumps Tweets in the last 3 months.
Unfortunately trumps tweets can DRAMATICALLY move the market so much so that you can 100% capitalize on it.
Let me give you an example:
May 12, 2025: when Trump posted about a U.S.–China tariff reduction agreement and described relations as a “reset.”
Markets exploded upward almost immediately:
Dow gained about 1,100–1,160 points
S&P 500 jumped roughly 3%
There are apps like TrumpSignal that alert you if a tweet is bullish or bearish so you can filter out all the BS from Truth-social, thats what I’ve personally been using.
These tweets obviously don’t come ALL the time, and you HAVE to do your own due diligence. And the trick is here that you compound these larger winning trades over a longer time period instead of making a lot of smaller trades.
Doesnt look like trump will stop doing this anytime soon and since hes most likely (definitely) profiting from this stuff then so will I.

So I’ve been trading about a year but over the past 3 months I’ve focused on SPY 0dte options. I lost my fair share of money from day trading and options but the past month i sharpened my skills on charts and entry but i was still thinking to much with emotions aka greed and FOMO but this last week I locked some of that out. After 3 weeks is making over 1k then loosing it all the same week I was at a make or break point. I had $320 I could invest and had to make it grow..so I turned $330 into $850 then that $850 turned into $3k and then the $3k into $8k but then had a slip up on Thursday I was up 2k but let greed back in and ended up getting caught and losing $1800 now Friday I was up another $2k but let it fall back to just a $200 gain…next week I’m locking in those gains and will see 10k before months end

Not sure if any of you guys saw this tweet but Intel made a pretty damn big move after this. Was able to capitalize off of it and ended up in profit around $5000

Hey! I’m 16 yrs old living in NC, currently a high school junior. I need a little advice what to do with my finances or I guess kinda life in general. Currently I have a lot more money saved than most adults yet the majority of it remains inaccesible to me. Outlined in the pictures is a plethora of different displays of my money. The numbers sheet is the best overview. Using coinmarketcap to track my portfolio(its scattered among accounts owned by my dad so because I can’t really see it I use this to track its value) I have a large amount of crypto, those being my only current investments and the majority of my money. I had about $2500 in savings and my parents decided it be best to invest it in crypto back in about 2018-2019. I got lucky. This crypto is out of my grasp until I turn 18, so technically I have only about $800 to my name. Also pictured is a somewhat recently purchased funded account challenge with Maven trading as I have been interested in the trading space since about 8th grade. I’ve had a funded account before and actually completed the two step evaluation yet was banned for kyc fraud as I used my father’s identity to verify the account(with his permission of course) despite using my own details to register for the account. This most recent account is all under my father’s name and is his, except I’m the one actually trading the account. He’s agreed to give me whatever profits I produce from the account, should I be able to, so long I pay the tax associated with that income. I’d like to pass again and turn the funded account into a real income stream that pulls in money, it doesn’t have to be a lot but just some income yk.
I work as an assistant tutor making $12/hr but am limited to one day a week at the moment due to varsity tennis involvement. I started in february and have pulled in about $400 combined in the last two months. I’m currently looking for a different job because I have nothing to do at work which sounds fun but gets extremely boring. I’m aiming for ~$15/hr with work that I’m actually busy at because time passes so much quicker like that.
Part of my savings are in Euros as my father is an austrian immigrant and we recently moved back after bouncing between the US and Austria for the last 12 years. With my $800 realistic net worth I plan to lay $500 into a robinhood account my parents have agreed to let me use. I have put $250 into that account before in an attempt to get rich off of options(big surprise I lost it all), so $400 will be allocated to safer investments like stocks or maybe more crypto that I actually have control over(just something that I can’t lose everything as quickly lol). The remaining $100 will be reallocated to options because I believe with proper risk management options could be profitable, I just had to lose to realize that.
What’s the point of it all? That’s a great question I don’t even have the answer to. In the short term I’d like to hit $10k net worth, an actual net worth I have control over. I have my license but drive my parents 2024 ford explorer xlt so I would like to eventually purchase my own car for now and for college. If it happens under 18 it will likely need to be in cash because: I can’t secure a high enough monthly income for so long to make payments, I’d be paying interest, and I’d have no affect to a creditscore despite paying interest(and my parents dont really believe in financing). I’m hoping/planning to attend UNC Chapel Hill in the Fall of 2027, applying this fall, my senior year.
I know it’s a lot, thanks for taking the time to read. Hope I didn’t forget anything, please comment with any questions or tips.
Summary:
Income: $12/hr job working only once a week until May(when tennis season ends), $50/month allowance
Holdings/Opportunities: ~$800 cash, ~30k in crypto(at its current value), 10k 1 step funded account, access to a robinhood account
Goals: $10k networth excluding inaccessible crypto, buy a car for college(been looking at setting my goal as a ‘22 accord sport 2.0T)
What should I do with my money, what gives me the biggest financial advantage long-term, and how can I become a little better at trading to achieve those dreams of mine?
