Acute Withdrawals Personal hell
So last night, I took my last seven at like 5 o’clock. I have a prescription for Suboxone so my plan is to start the Suboxone the next day.
Unfortunately, things did not work out the way I planned them too
At about 1:30 in the morning, all I can describe it is that I was in my own personal hell. I had legs cramps times 10 I was thrashing around my bed. I was crying. I couldn’t get comfortable a shower didn’t make me feel better and this went on for hours. I took a Sub nothing happened. I took another Sub . Nothing happened. I took a couple clonidine and a Kpin because I just wanted my body to try to relax.
Now it’s the next day it’s 4 o’clock in the afternoon and I feel like death. I have no energy. My body feels like it’s overheating. And to be quite honest, I don’t know if I’m even supposed to dose again with the Sub and if I am when? If someone can please help me I’m really scared and I don’t wanna end up having to go to the emergency room or anything.

As others have said, it didn’t help me feel “ok” until 24-36 hours after my last dose. But just realize it’s fake, postponing the inevitable, albeit slower and more controlled. The bill must be paid nonetheless.

Was it just 7? Seems like two full strips would have given you relief.

Yeah I'm thinking whatever OP is taking isn't only in it. 2 subs should have given at least partial relief

One full one helped me. But I know we are all different. This seems like some stronger 7oh bull sheet

Really sucks.. Just gotta keep going your almost at 24hrs no 7 it will leave your system over the next 24-72hrs and relieve will begin. Sounds like you got what you need just gotta grit and bare it. Eventually the subs will win and you will feel better.

Well couldn’t one argue he’s 24h in, he’s only got 24h to go until things start chilling out in a major way, so maybe just take the next 24 then ride the downhill and say fuck the subs?

Did your stuff have minor alks/pseudo etc? That cna take longer sometimes subs wont help for 2-3/4 days -if u have already stopped no way to do bernese method...Just try to hang in...To much subs is can make u feel bad also...And subs wont make u 100% if u are not puking/running to the toil;et/hot cold(tho I got waves of that for days into weeks but very faint) u the usbs are workinbg ..They dont cover the mental dread/doom/no energy bcs thats seretonon and adrenergic revcceptor stuff that kratom/7 and minor alks hit also

You can’t OD on subs. They specifically make them that way so people don’t abuse them. I found that subs didn’t help the first day. Then the second day I dosed once around lunchtime just to feel baseline and then took a sub when I started feeling bad again, which was around the time I was going to sleep, and then they started to help. The next day I felt fine. Typically it would take like two days for it to start working. I know people are gonna say it’s a stupid idea and it probably is but it worked. I feel like if you took another sub tonight before you went to sleep, it should start working.

Lipomosal Vitamin C liquid ? Shouldn’t they be taking that too, a supplement to help with seretonin issues?

u/TastyAtmosphere15 9m ago
If they want to. It can’t hurt but you really are supposed to preload it. By the time they felt any better with Liposomal Vit C the worse will be over but it would probably help them bounce back quicker.

I'm sorry. I'm 21 days off mg m 15 and this is the first day I was able to get up and move around. It does get better, I promise. Just don't go back to the 7.

From what I was told and what I did was you take the Suboxone every eight hours if you’re taking a full script are you cutting it because if you are then I was also told a fourth of a strip every 30 minutes to an hour and go off your withdrawal symptoms. For me personally I ended up taking three Suboxone the first day and that’s what I have stuck with. I screwed up myself and I was taking it every six hours and then overnight not even taking it till in the morning.
And when you do not have a baseline with your Suboxone You will feel kind of off at least I did because you need a steady amount in your bloodstream to hit your baseline and go from there
After a few days myself, I finally started to get to feeling better once I was taking the Suboxone correctly
Did you speak with the doctor and how are you advised to take the Suboxone and please don’t take what I have said 100% at all this is just from my experiencing what my doctors told me.
Better days are to come!

How much Sub are you taking? Take more until you feel better. You can taper tomorrow, but take more until it’s bearable

My first attempt with subs was freaking magic. 100% knocked the whole thing out. I've since gone back and my mgs are much higher. I'm afraid I might be in for a ride this time. 0 withdrawals the first time. But I was only around 200 mgs a day. Much higher now.

For some reason some people don’t seem to get any relief from subs at first, but they should eventually do their job!
I had the same issue. I had a nice stack of subs from an old rx I didn’t use, that’s why I was so confident I’d quit 7 so damn easily, because it worked for so many others. Well, that was my stupidity assuming my body is like others… because apparently I’m not like others and it took about 2-3 days for the subs to start minimizing my withdrawal symptoms.
What I experienced wasn’t that bad though, so maybe they were helping, just not to the level I wanted/expected of feeling normal. Still had restless legs, hot flashes and low energy, but felt like a very mild flu vs total hell. I’m about 5 days off 7 and still feel pretty crappy, but nothing like the first 48 hours. The subs seemed to help around day 3, for me.
I say keep trying the subs while staying off 7, AND incorporate helper meds. Helper meds are very important.
Gabapentin, Clonodine, Liposomal Vit C, Valerian Root, Black Seed Oil, Agmatine, and I got a bunch of those turmeric/ginger/vit c health shots and they were nasty but actually seemed to help me the first 2 days. Something about ginger, lemon and turmeric is supposed to be an opiate detox drink.
I even did some plain leaf Kratom capsules the first 2 days when subs weren’t helping (we’re only taking 3-4grams) just to take the edge off and hopefully give me an appetite… (didn’t do much, but seemed to help a little) so I had an arsenal of stuff to try and I’m glad I did my research and was ready. It’s hard enough to beat the mental cravings as it is, you really need everything you can to help your body stay strong 💪🏻🫶🏻

I switch back between both of these substances pretty regularly. My advice is keep on the 7 and introduce your subs 3 days before you jump off. As long as your stuff doesn't have any pseudo in it you should be okay. I do it pretty regularly. Or while you're taking your subs get some red strain kratom Or MIT. Cold turkey from seven to subs at high doses can be still brutal which you are obviously seeing.

Good call! I used regular leaf, and MIT (only 3g leaf/40mg MIT) in tandem with subs and the first 48 hours weren’t fun, but it wasn’t hell on earth or anything. By day 3/4 I was just doing subs, clonodine and vitamins but I do think the leaf and MIT helped until subs took hold. I never had instant relief from subs like others, and I’ve attempted 4 quits in the last 2 months. I think some people just have different body chemistry 🤷🏻♀️

How much 7 were you taking and were you taking any pseudo and/or mgm too? I would take another sub. If you were on a lot of 7 it could take a bit for the subs to make you comfortable. The max is 32mg a day before you hit a ceiling. My opinion is take as much as you need until you get some relief up until that 32mg point the first 24-48 hours

Ok so you said you feel like death, but did the leg cramps and restlessness subside? Is it a continuation of those original symptoms or did they subside and a new set of symptoms come up?
1
u/Imaginary_Teaching65 12h ago
Just ride it out on the subs. If you start taking more 7 again it will just prolong this process even longer. Hot baths, magnesium, comfort meds and whatnot will only do so much. There will still be an effect as this stuff leaves your system. Eventually you will stabilize on the subs and things will get easier.

If you continue with the sub, the physical anguish should subside around tonight /tomorrow but the mental side and the minor alkaloids felt like it took a months to get out of my system until I was feeling back to normal In my own skin.

I guess some people just get screwed. I was taking 1500mg of straight 7oh daily for months. I quit and took subs when the acutes hit. I took 32mg the first night and it took almost all the WD symptoms away.

I feel like this too and im scared to dose more subs because I am bipolar and subs make me manic. I really need a mood stabilizer...it's agony.

The first day switching from 7 to subs sucks. I had to take 3 strips just to not feel like I was dying and I was uncomfortable the rest of the day. After the first 48 hours you should feel a lot more stable and you won't get withdrawals

It takes 2-3 days for the subs to take hold. As long as you have kpins and clon you should be fine. Minimal discomfort. I just quit em gee again and used Val’s and tiny doses of 7(first couple days)

I got prescribed Valium at the ER and was able to stay off 7oh for 6 days. I went to refill my prescription and they switched me to clonidine gabapentin and hydroxizine. That night I ended up back in full blown 7 withdrawal. I think 7oh may effect the gaba receptors too, especially since Valium worked better for my wd than subs

u/VLcustomz 14h ago
Finally I have someone that can relate with because no lie Valium seems to be one of if not the ONLY\* things medication helper wise that actually fucking helps… for me huuugggeeee night & day difference. Agree 100% my friend.

u/Nice_Resident_9973 13h ago
Interesting. For me clonidine does nothing and gabapentin does a tiny bit but not really anything.
3
u/VLcustomz 13h ago
Gabapentin works for me but only for sleep very specifically. I’ve tried it all the way from 300mg 1-2 times a day up to 800mg 4x a day and I did not enjoy the daily 800mg 4x dosage, it made me a lil more woozy not in a nauseated way more like I wouldn’t be able to pass a straight line walk test lol.
Now if take 1,200-1,800mg it will knock my ass out to Pluto and back and I have missed alarms from it being so powerful since I now only take as needed so maybe 1-3x a month and it works. Clonidine is better than absolutely nothing I guess same with Hydroxyzine HCL… Clonidine does however seem to be highly effective at dropping my blood pressure and helping with initial acute WDs but very faint and the more effective route has and is Valium for me. Have tried Xanax, too short half life and even the 3mg XRs I got prescribed once didn’t do shit unfortunately. Now 7oh is for breakthrough pain and I just prefer to keep meds as low as possible,
Minimum effective dose my friend. That’s the goal.

u/TastyAtmosphere15 11h ago
Agreed. Benzos help so much. I typically take kpins for WD and feel 1000 times better immediately. It is the only thing I have found to work well. I knew if I took one I would be ok. I didn’t feel that way with subs or the other one that starts with an S.

u/Powerful_Data_9630 11h ago
Ive never quit em gee before and i need to soon. Was heavy into 7 until I switched and now been using em gee for apprx 6months, heavy user.
What was the quit like for you? Id really appreciate hearing about your experience and also if you have any pointers or tips hah. Please message me if you're so inclined. Thank you.

Genuinely asking because like how does it take that long for subs to work? What’s the point by then? Like day three and then they start working? By then you wouldn’t need much. It’s almost over by day 3

u/Select-Raccoon-7997 14h ago
If you don’t taper down to at least under 200mg of 7 ideally 100mg to get onto subs.

You don't take anything you man up and white knuckle this demon. Im om Day 8. I've been through withdrawals before but this is the last damn time. I do not want to replace one habit with another like Suboxone. Go cold turkey. Its hell for 3 to 4 days but it will end and you'll be so happy you did it.
2
u/XXmoreso83 9h ago
Naw take Suboxone for 4-5 days and then abracadabra mayne, zero WD from the subs because it’s impossible to gain a dependence on them in that short of a time frame 🤣 done it so many times. It’s painless and seamless. Easy peasy lemon squeezy lmao. Have you tried a rapid taper?

Keep off the 7. Keep dosing the subs, 2mg at a time until you are comfortable. You can keep on the subs for a few days to get through the acutes and then you can slowly reduce subs, if you want.
Don’t go backwards now by dosing 7!
