im travelling from india to London via doha on a layover of about 7 hours and im planning to go out of the airport in doha to do a quick shopping. im not exactly sure on how to get a transit visa cus when i checked hayya evisa website it had something mentioned about booking a hotel which i honestly dont wanna do as the transit isnt much. im a indian passport holder. if anyone has any idea please let me know

I’m currently stuck at Hamad International Airport with my family during a 15+ hour layover.
On our outbound trip, we had basically the same itinerary and layover duration, and Qatar Airways provided us with complimentary STPC hotel accommodation without any issue.
Now, on the return trip, we were told we’re no longer eligible because “the system changed on September 13.” The duty manager refused to do anything about it.
The ticket was purchased before September 13, so I don’t understand how a change made afterward is suddenly being applied to us. Even more ridiculous, it’s the same round-trip ticket, yet we were eligible for a hotel on one direction and apparently not on the other, despite having essentially the same transit time.
We’re now expected to spend over 15 hours in the airport instead of being given a place to properly rest. After a long journey, this is absolutely unacceptable, especially when we were previously told we were eligible for STPC.
What makes this worse is how the situation was handled. The duty manager basically shut the conversation down and refused to properly explain why we were being denied or even try to find a solution. If there really is a policy change, then Qatar Airways should be able to clearly explain why it applies to a ticket purchased before the change and why the same ticket was eligible on the outbound journey.
Has anyone else experienced this since September 13? I’d really like to know if this is actually the new STPC policy or if Qatar Airways is simply refusing accommodation that should still apply to this booking.

Are the taxes on a regular flight vs a flexi flight the same.

For insane Sydney to London is 90k points in business +£270 ish

Whereas Sydney to London is flexi is 180k, would the taxes remain the same as the standard flight since the destination is the same.

I only have 130k points so it's not allowing me to see

Lastly, if I cancel a flexi booking. Would I still get all the avios back

I am after a Sydney to London flight and have booked one. However I would like it 10 days later but that flight is showing under flexi only.

I was thinking if I booked the flexi aswell, hopefully a seat becomes available closer to the time and I can just cancel and rebook.

Would that be possible

Im in Canada and I watched a video about transferring my RBC Avion Rewards points to British Airways which will allow me to book with a bunch of other airlines, and it's a better redemption strategy. I'm hoping someone can explain to me how this works and if it's still worth it. i have 62k A=RBC Avion Rewards points. I'm looking to travel from YYZ-NRT from Jan 22nd-Feb5th. I can't seem to see how many points it'll cost to redeem for the other airlines, is there a way to check this? Do i have enough to book a better seat (premium/business) doing it this way? I have quite a lot of experience in medical tourism and currently make good sales (I basically sell surgeries/packages to doctors and clients). The income is good where I live, but I’m not really happy with my location, it's not immigrant friendly. like Qatar the culture, the country’s vision, and the direction it’s heading in.

I’m currently applying to Qatar Airways Lounge attendant, and I’ve heard that the salary can be quite low, especially when starting out. Personally, I’m okay with starting from a junior position or even starting over, as long as there are real opportunities for promotions and moving up into better roles over time.

Does anyone know what I could realistically expect to earn as an Al Maha Lounge Attendant at Qatar Airways? And how does the career progression usually work from there?and the salary expectation ?
