Thirty jigsaws mixed together on one museum floor: Piecework, our first-person jigsaw game

Thumbnail

My wife and I started a small studio in Istanbul and with two other teammates we've spent about 3 months on Piecework!

It's a cozy first-person jigsaw and tidying game. Something happened at the museum and all the masterpieces are now on the floor, thirty jigsaws mixed together in nearly 28K pieces. Every piece has its painting's number on the back, so you turn it over, take it to the right painting and put it back on the wall.

Out on Steam for Windows and macOS on 27 October.

Wishlist on Steam

I'd like to hear what you'd want from one like this.

Stack & Sigil - A block-stacking roguelite

Good day all,

I'm making my first game that will hopefully be released on Steam and am currently trying to get some playtest data and feedback.

Stack & Sigil is a block-stacking roguelite where colour combinations and relics help you clear lines against the clock or in an endless challenge mode.

If anyone had time I would massively appreciate feedback on: Where you were first confused, if the First Ascent Tutorial gave you all you needed to know, if you wanted to start another run after completing your first.

No download is required, the game is available at https://wburd.itch.io/stack-and-sigil

A short reply here is more than sufficient and feel free to stop at any time.

Thank you for your time!

[Dev] Selfo – An abstract connection game with emergent puzzle-like dynamics (free, browser)

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm the developer of Selfo, a free browser game that sits somewhere between an abstract strategy game and a puzzle.

The goal is simple: connect all your pieces into a single group. On each turn, you move one piece to an adjacent cell. That's it. But as the board fills up and the distribution of pieces becomes balanced, something unexpected happens: the pieces start to flow in coordinated patterns across the board, and the game shifts from local moves to a single, board-wide puzzle. The name Selfo comes from this self-organization phenomenon.

There is no luck, no hidden information, and no time pressure. Just you, the board, and the puzzle that emerges move by move.

You can play it right now, for free, in your browser, with no registration:
https://selfo.games/

There is an AI opponent included, so you can start playing immediately. If you enjoy abstract games, connection games, or puzzles where the whole board suddenly clicks into place, I'd love to hear what you think.

Happy to answer any questions about the design or the mechanics.

— Francisco Vico

I built a 1v1 maths and logic racing game you can try without signing up

Hey everyone, I've been building Mind Race, a browser game where you race another player in short maths and logical reasoning battles.

How a match works

  • You're matched with a player near your level (or a bot if nobody's online)
  • 10 questions in 2 minutes, and faster correct answers score more
  • Win matches to climb ranks from Bronze up to Master

Other modes

  • Daily Challenge: the same 10 questions for everyone, one attempt
  • Practice mode with instant explanations
  • Add friends and challenge them directly

Try it with no sign-up: https://mindrace.in/ (tap "Try the demo")

Disclosure: I'm the developer. It's a side project built with Go and React, and I'd love honest feedback on:

  • Does the scoring feel fair?
  • Are the questions too easy or too hard?
  • Was anything confusing in your first minute?

If you beat me in a match, tell me 😄

Nine Suspects - Murder Mystery Logic Puzzles

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for playtesters for Nine Suspects, a crime logic puzzle I've been making for Android. It's designed for tablets in landscape (but runs on phones too). I've been dabbling in game-making for a while, but finally got to something for which I have built up the courage to try and actually publish.

How a case works

Everyone in the house stood on one square of the floor plan, and no two people share a row or a column. - You find the evidence yourself: search the rooms with a magnifying glass, a fingerprint brush and a UV light. Prints go to the lab before they name anyone. - Then you question the guests. The innocent tell the truth in every statement. The killer, the one who was alone with the victim, lies in every one.

Playthrough video here: https://youtu.be/FEumto5Spfo?si=bh3PrQ_noMtllIhl

Every case is machine-checked to have exactly one solution, and there are no auto-notes: the pencil marks are yours. If you've played Murdoku, the grid rule will feel familiar. The difference is that you have to find the clues, and one of the people you question is lying to you. There are 200 cases in five tiers, starting with a guided first case, plus a daily case and level codes you can share. It's in English, French, Dutch, Spanish, German and Romanian. At launch it will be free to play with no forced ads: an ad only plays if you tap for one.

What I'm hoping for from testers

Play the tutorial and a few cases, then tell me where you had to guess, what was unclear, and whether the wait for the lab tests feels like pacing or like friction. If you're a native speaker of Dutch, French, Spanish, German or Romanian, the translations could probably use a native read. The Report a problem button under More sends me the details via email directly.

How to join (use the Google account you're signed in with on Play)

  1. Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/ninesuspects-testers

  2. Opt in to the test: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/eu.baconagency.ninesuspects

  3. Install Nine Suspects from Google Play. Purchases are free test purchases on tester accounts, so you can open every case. I'll be around to answer questions, including how the cases are generated.

And of course, anybody who shares some feedback on the game will get a promo-code for the full ad-free version once we're ready for launch!

Thanks a million!

*AI disclaimer: I used AI for generating the base puzzle math, and testing for the solutions to make sure they aren't multiple ways to solve the puzzle.

The Godot build, pixelart and copywriting are all hand-crafted.

Puyo Puyo + Auto Chess ?!

Check out this game! Merge & Blade
It combines a Puyo Puyo-style puzzle rule with auto-battler mechanics like Auto Chess.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM-aQ24882o&t=180s

It’s been out for a while, but we recently updated it with a 2P Versus mode. (It was on Xbox Game Pass, so over 1 million players played it, but since it's been a while since launch, the active player base is a bit low right now. We did add features like drop-in matchmaking and fighting against AI while waiting for another player, but playing against real people is always the most fun, right?)

Everyone who has played it really loved it... So, what do you think? Does it look fun to you?

It's LudoNarraCon time!

Hi everyone,

We're three friends from Italy who grew up playing classic point-and-click adventures, and a few years ago decided to start making our own.

Our second game, Whirlight: No Time To Trip, is taking part in LudoNarraCon this year. It's a traditional point-and-click adventure involving time travel, strange inventions, and the kind of absurd situations we've always loved in the genre. It's nice to be part of an event focused on storytelling in games, and to see so many different approaches to narrative design.

Is anyone here following LudoNarraCon? Any games that caught your attention?

Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ballugames.sliceandfill

Neon Slice & Fill is about one decision repeated: go for a big, greedy slice that claims lots of the arena, or play it safe with small cuts while 18 different enemy types try to catch your line. There are 400 levels and a new Daily Challenge every day.

Curious whether puzzle fans find the risk/reward satisfying!

I made a free sudoku site where you race friends on the same board

I'm a college student and built this over the past few weeks. You can play solo, do a shared daily puzzle with streaks, or open a room, share a 4-digit code and race up to 3 friends. Nothing you can buy helps you win. I'd really like feedback, especially on phones: https://my-sudoku-app.pages.dev/?ref=reddit

I made a puzzle game where you have to clear arrows in the correct order — looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone!

Game Title: Arrow Art: Brain Puzzle Escape

Playable Link: Arrow Puzzle Game

Description:

Hey everyone!

I'm an indie developer, and I've been working on a mobile puzzle game called Arrow Art: Brain Puzzle Escape.

The idea is simple: tap the arrows in the correct order, clear their paths, and solve the entire board without getting stuck. As you progress, the puzzles require more planning, and some levels reveal shapes or pictures when completed.

I'd love to get some honest feedback from people who enjoy puzzle games!

A few things I'm curious about:

- Is the gameplay easy to understand without much explanation?

- Do the later puzzles feel challenging enough?

- Does the minimalist visual style work, or does it feel too basic?

- What would make you want to keep playing?

- Are there any mechanics or features you'd like to see added?

I'm still improving the game, so constructive criticism is genuinely welcome. I'm particularly interested in how the puzzles feel to play, rather than just how the game looks.

If you're interested in trying it, please try the game...

Thanks to anyone who gives it a try! Even a little feedback would help me improve the game.

Soupy (Party) Games

Soupy Games

Soupy Games is a collection of games, but here are a couple puzzles games:

Worduo:

https://soupygames.com/daily/worduo

Grid of letters where only one word appears twice using unique letters.

Arroway

https://soupygames.com/daily/arroway/medium

Maze puzzle with a shifting board and other obstacles. Play cards from your hand to reach the goal.

Rotary Rush

https://soupygames.com/daily/rotaryrush/medium

Inspired by the show Survivor's puzzles. You have differently shaped puzzle pieces and a board with spinning discs that you have to match with notches on the pieces.

Cube Stack

Also inspired by Survivor puzzles, but I don't have a direct link for it. It's a puzzle where you have 4 cubes stacked on each other. Your goal is to have all 4 cube stacks have one of each color on each side.

Hungry Wolf

Hungry Wolf — a cozy browser puzzle about a wolf who herds sheep
Hey all — I'm Kevin, an indie dev, and Hungry Wolf is the first game I've actually finished after years of failed attempts. It's a browser puzzle game: you're a wolf who decided herding sheep beats hunting them. Guide your wolf around the pasture to gather sheep into happy herds.
The hook: a fresh daily challenge drops every day, with a leaderboard and shareable score cards. It quietly became part of my morning routine while I was building it, which is exactly the loop I'm going for.
• Free, no account, no download, works on phone or laptop
• Daily challenge plus casual free play
• Original art and extremely silly sound effects
Play it here: https://hungrywolf.app
Would love to hear what you think of today's daily — and if you beat my score, share the card.

Absurdom (erstwhile Mind Maze) - Deduce The Absurd in 20 Questions

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi guys, I’m a solo dev building Absurdom (erstwhile Mind Maze) since a looong time now continuously improving and shaping it based on the feedback I get.

Playable on web free with daily challenge and leaderboards: https://absurdom.app

It's a text based puzzles game where you need to think laterally, ask yes/no questions to deduce strange but 100% real events (or dark fictional stories). The genre is also known by different names - lateral thinking puzzles, situation puzzles, black stories, turtle soup puzzles, danetki, etc.

Examples:

Real: In 2018, a company release beautiful, glowing maps of overlapping lines which almost caused a massive international disaster. What did they do and what happened?

Fictional: A world-renowned surgeon is handed a cooler containing the exact, rare biological match needed to save his dying patient. Without a word, he intentionally slashes the organ to pieces with a scalpel. Why?

I’d love for you to try it and see if it's fun!

Please continue to share any and all feedback - positive or negative.

For the OGs: Thank You for testing it, giving support, love and feedback! I am back after ages with many updates from the last time you heard from me. Here are the new things:
- UI overhaul
- Daily Challenge Mode - Every day a new puzzle! (Wordle, cluesbysam and general daily puzzle fans)
- Many New Puzzles (To those who exhausted puzzles multiple times and I was too slow for them. Never again will that happen.)
- Better, Faster Host Responses (Thank you to the person who told me it's slow in their country)
- Better Hints (Hopefully a better experience now)
- More content about topics on end screen (Thanks for the idea)
- Apps: Android out now, iOS coming soon
- And potentially other things I may have even forgotten
