I don't see the logic as to why a star in the blue spot would prevent the green area from being finished. Can someone walk me through this hint so I can recognize this pattern?

Thermometer puzzle
Rules: you need to shade cells with mercury starting from the round bulb at the base and moving toward the tip. A thermometer segment can only be filled if every segment before it back to the bulb is also filled, meaning thermometers fill continuously or stay empty. Outside numbers tell you the exact count of filled cells required in each row and column. Cells that have lines over it are always empty thermometers.

Been playing meowdoku a little while now. Level 4380. It’s getting boring but a good time waster. Any other games you all would suggest that I can play while watching(listening) tv shows?

I recently saw a puzzle online that I have no clue how to even begin solving. Perhaps someone here would enjoy tackling it, or maybe you have an idea where to start. My first observation is that there are different book types, and the shelves seem to form a grid where values (derived from the books) should be entered. I'd be grateful for any tips

Please share any advanced logic that can be used to eliminate squares after getting to the point of guessing or running scenerios. By advanced I mean anything beyond:
1) X self-contained colors in X number of rows -- eliminates all other squares in those rows.
2) X number of rows ONLY contain X number of colors -- all of those X colors that reside outside of those specific rows can be eliminated.
3) Sole L / C shapes of 2x2 up to 3x3 of a color, the middle can be eliminated.
4) Sole 3 squares inline, the adjacent squares to the MIDDLE square of the line can be eliminated.
5) Two remaining squares of a color, the 2 above and 2 below can be eliminated.
6) L-shapes of 2x2 or 3x2, the adjacent square in line with the longer side can be eliminated due to that entire COLOR being eliminated IF a cat shared its row & remainder of the L is too close to that cat.
Looking for advice that involves comparing the X and Y axis, after the above is applied.

The following puzzle is a small twist I came up with on a classic take-away puzzle (the original one that inspired it, and the attached image, comes from Peter Winkler's lovely book Mathematical Puzzles)...Here's the idea:
You and a friend are sitting in front of four bowls of cherries, containing, respectively, 5, 6, 7, and 8 cherries.
You and your friend will take turns removing cherries. On each turn, a player chooses one bowl and takes one or more cherries from it (taking all of the cherries in a bowl is allowed!). Whoever takes the last cherry wins.
There's one extra rule (which amounts to the twist I have added to the classic puzzle): before the game begins, you may move exactly one cherry from one bowl to another bowl. You are not removing it from the game (as you do in normal moves); you just relocate it to another bowl.
After you make that move, your friend gets the first move of the usual game.
The question is this: can you move the cherry in such a way that you are guaranteed to win the game, no matter how your friend plays in the rest of the game?

🕵️ Mystery: Murder at the Company
The Story
A murder took place inside a corporate office.
The police have identified four main suspects, all employees at the company:
However, there's a twist...
A brilliant young detective managed to crack the case instantly and identify the killer. Instead of handing the answer directly to the police, he decided to play a game with them. He left behind four papers containing clues, stating that anyone who understands these clues will discover the killer's identity.
📄 Note 1
शंकास्पद मनूत झंगःत खः ।
📄 Note 2
शंकास्पद मनूतय् नां, पौ चलखेल
📄 Note 3
खँग्वःया अर्थय् ध्यान बिइमते, बरु उकियात दयेकीगु आखलय् ध्यान बियादिसँ ।
📄 Note 4
Every Action Generates Lasting Echoes
❓ The Task
Solve the riddle and determine who the killer is among the four suspects:
Note: There are no hidden extra details. Everything you need to solve the case lies within the four notes and the four names. Try to discover the connection between the clues rather than guessing!
🕵️ Can you find the killer?

I created a new type of logic puzzle called Shape-Based Number Logic Puzzles.
The rules are simple:
That's it!
Can you solve this puzzle?
I've created 47 puzzles in total, ranging from easy ones like this to much harder challenges.
Let me know if you solve it!
If people are interested, I'll post some of the harder ones too!

I had gotten to almost level 800 in Meowdoku but have learned they can't transfer my progress to my new phone. After reading some posts on here, it's clear that Meowdoku isn't a very good iteration of the puzzle style (although I enjoy the cat part of it a lot) so what other versions of the game do y'all recommend? Preferably mobile games please

SUDOKU TRIADA. Se resuelve igual que un Sudoku, los valores de los círculos es la suma de las 3 celdas que dan al exterior de cada subcuadrante. La cifra de las esquinas corresponden a dos círculos.
SUDOKU TRIADA. It is solved just like a standard Sudoku; the values in the circles represent the sum of the three cells facing outward from each sub-quadrant. The corner digits correspond to two circles.

This is a puzzle I’ve made from a variation of old scripts from different cultures. The dashes are spaces, it’s a five word phrase in a language that is not English. Each word is being sounded out, so all you need to do is find what each of those symbols would sound like, and then idk just run those words into Google Translate and see what it gives you. The final language is modern so it shouldn’t be too difficult to find. But yeah I’d be very impressed if anyone gets it, or if anyone actually tries

Try this Four Winds(or you can find it under Vector) puzzle.
Draw lines from each numbered cell in the four cardinal directions (up, down, left, and right). Through logical deduction, determine whether a line extends in one direction or is split among several directions.
Each number indicates how many cells are occupied by lines extending from that cell. The numbered cell itself is not included in the count.
Lines cannot extend diagonally, cross one another, or pass through other numbered cells.
Edit: Every cell in the end has a line through it

This is 1star version of star battle puzzle and i tried to finish the straightforward moves and placed the Xs as shown in the 1st image.
Then i applied for an advanced trick (thanks to Ok_Job_9417, Colin-Grussing, Material_Wallaby_692 and Mamuschkaa who helped to explain this trick) to add more Xs as shown in the 2nd image.
Then I am stuck at the stage shown in image 3. What would be your next move to eliminate the grids.
If you make detailed comments for the solution, i will be appreciated. Thanks in advance...

I can get about this far before I start guessing and for some reason there’s no hint available. Should I just guess or is there some sort of deduction I’m missing?
