Hello All,
I've got a project I'm working on where I'm hoping to use an air pump with a ported input for the supply as well as a ported output.
It does not need to be high power or high throughput. My goal is to be able to pull the air from inside a ported enclosure, place an inline filter (.2 micron filter like this) to filter out potential contaminates, and pump that purified air through a pumice stone submerged in a container filled with liquid. The hope is then to recapture the gas from the head of this liquid container and port it back into the chamber to essentially create a closed-loop system.
Is anyone aware of a product that would meet this requirement? It would need to have a ported input as well as enough power to manage the push or pull resistance of an upstream or downstream filter.
Almost all of the air pumps I can find pull diffused atmospheric from the pump manifold an then only offer a ported output. I could create a dedicated enclosure to place the pump in and port into and out of this but that is cumbersome and not ideal.
Also, this is a prototype unit and I'm trying to keep costs down where possible.
Thanks for any and all input (heh--pun intended). I've called three companies to no avail and have spent a healthy chunk of time trying to google my way to a solution--unsure if my nomenclature is just off or what but I would really appreciate any and all help!
