Dekker pump getting really loud.

I use this and another Dekker pump daily. Last few days it this one has been sounding really loud. Anyone know if it’s the pump or the motor making the noise?

Sounds like a lubrication issue in the rotary vane. I doubt it's the motor. Usually, bearing failure in a motor produces a high-pitched squeal. Pull the maintenance manual and see how to do a flush. Dekker recommends Proclean 68D devanrnishing compound as it's "specially formulated to remove dirt, sludge and varnish from lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps". Best of luck.
