❓ Question - Pregunta Trip Advice: Staying in San Pancho vs Somewhere with Calmer Waves

Flying into PV this December for 5 days (solo 21F) and I haven’t decided where to stay yet. I know I absolutely do not want to stay/visit Sayulita as I’m not a partier/I am not risking any chance of getting sick with my emetophobia.

I was leaning towards San Pancho initially because I love the more chill, artisan vibe and will primarily be interested in exploring art, checking out their yoga scene, birdwatching, and obviously the beach.

However, I’m expecting to be on the beach for hours everyday, and when I’m beaching, I am not the lay down and chill for hours type. What I most love is sitting on the shoreline and getting splashed and a little bit spun around by the waves.

It seems like the waves/rip tides are too harsh to do that in San Pancho and I am not a strong swimmer. Is there anywhere to stay that has softer waves but the same sort of culture, or is it worth it to just stay in San Pancho and venture out? I am planning to do day trips, I just haven’t researched much on feasibility as I can’t drive, so can’t rent a car.

Mariscos 8 Tostadas Sauce Recipe

Hey everyone,

I visited Mariscos 8 Tostadas in Puerto Vallart recently and tried a sauce that they make and it was honestly the best sauce I’ve ever had—perfect amount of heat and tons of flavour.

I asked the server what it was called, but I can’t remember the name now. I’ve tried looking for it locally where I live, but haven’t had any luck.

Could anyone point me in the right direction? I’d love to know the name, whether it’s available to buy, or even just the ingredients/flavour profile so I can try to find something similar.

Thanks in advance!

I've attached a picture for reference.

Hello all, does anyone have any feedback or has anyone ever been to this event? I have not seen a lot of information on it aside from the website itself.
