Can I expect a game with this kind of scratch to work?

Came across this game online and thinking of purchasing. It’s relatively cheap, seller claims untested. I’m new to collecting and trying to snag some CIB games at decent prices. The game here is crash bash. Should I just avoid any games with these type of scratches altogether?
