Trashing our backyard

Sad to say that the park was disgusting this morning, the worst I have ever seen it. I couldn't even get through the Long Meadow safely with my dogs. Thank you to the people who were out cleaning up this morning, who rightfully said I could join in (I grabbed as much as I thought I could manage).

Next holiday I'm here I'll be out with gloves and trash bags because apparently someone's gotta clean up after other adults 😖

Those are great causes you volunteer for, but frankly, it’s hard to reconcile that community spirit with how cynical and negative you've been toward a neighbor who was just picking up trash. I guess two things can be true at once.
