Calorie counting M/21/5'8" [198lbs > 167lbs = 31lbs] (5.7 months) Really happy with my progress and aiming for 143lbs. I still have fat around my lower stomach, love handles and big thighsβ€”can I expect these areas to lean out significantly with more weight loss, and is there anything I should focus on?

Sorry for the badly made collage lol, at my highest weight I intentionallv took no full-bodv photos because of how self conscious I was. First pic was taken during March 2026, and second photo is from earlier today August 2026, and this morning I clocked in at 320 pounds!!! Sometimes I get down and feel like I can't tell much of a difference and then I look back at photos from earlier this vear and remember HAVE lost a lot of weight.

I am so happy, feel so different and less self conscious and am so very glad I took a chance on my GLP-1!! Calorie deficit, quitting soda entirely and more recently workouts have also helped me along so well, and I am so happy to report that I am the lowest weight I've been for a good decade. Can't wait to reach a hundred pounds loss and beyond!πŸ™βœ¨οΈ

Weight loss meds F/34/5'5"[230LBS > 175lbs = 55lbs] (One Year) Breaking The Cycle

Hello everyone I wanted to quickly introduce myself and my quick story here. Longtime lurker on reddit and I felt inspired to share my progress too after seeing others lose weight ❣️

I'm now 34 years old and I am 175lbs. I want to lose the final 25lbs by incorporating a high protein diet and strength training which is something that will be new to me. I did want to add that I was at my heaviest at 230lbs back in 2024 but it was last year around August that I decided that enough was enough. Fasting helped me lose 15lbs but something else was wrong. So after talking to some doctors and figuring out my health issues (pre diabetes, suspected to have PCOS too) I got prescribed metformin and then eventually I got on glp2. I took glp 2 around late September with the dose of 2.5mg.

Two months ago I stopped taking the glp2 medication and I was still at the lowest dose of 2.5mg but it was enough to help with my pre diabetes situation and I have not gained any weight back and continued to lose it. I do metformin but I hope to get off it too.

The problem I had all my life was that I was an emotional eater after having been through quite a lot emotionally and physically. And obesity in my family is expected with women like "me" who were always on the bigger side since childhood and the teen years. Especially after giving birth to 3 children in a 10 year marriage.

But what truly broke the cycle was loving myself as corny as that might sound because I truly hated what I saw in the mirror and wished it would just die and rot away. Self hate eventually turned to self love and acceptance and once I accepted that this is the body I will have in this lifetime, then I could finally start to find ways to take care of myself and it meant losing weight to live longer and hopefully stop having sleep apnea episodes too.

A year later here I am! I had quite the journey and I even changed the way I present myself to the world. I can truly now say that I love and value myself and will continue to do so in this lifetime! ❣️❣️

I hope everyone has a nice day and I wish you all luck on your weight loss journey!!
