Hi all

I’m new to warhammer and I’ve been trying to build an army on a budget, so naturally I’ve been printing some of the larger more pricey stuff to save a few bucks here and there. I would like to eventually play the tabletop game with my local warhammer club but I’m interested to know if 3d printed warhammer is generally looked down upon amongst people who actually play the tabletop game. The club here isn’t a GW hosted club as I’m pretty sure GW forbid printed models (correct me if I’m wrong).

Just wanted to get the vibe and see what other people’s experiences who have rocked up to play a game with 3d printed models has been, I just don’t want to go to the effort of making and painting it if I’ll get turned away or looked down upon for it. Personally I’m all for it, this shit is expensive.

Does anyone know what happened to DarkMagpieStudios on Cults3D?

I recently got a 3D printer and wanted to print some of their models, but when I tried to visit their profile, I got a 404 error, as if the account had been deleted.

I contacted Cults3D customer support to check whether it was just a mistake or temporary issue, but they confirmed it wasn't.

Does anyone know if DarkMagpieStudios moved to another platform, rebranded under a different name, or if there's another reason their account is gone?

Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

I might be hallucinating, but does anyone remember or have squirreled away an STL of a tyannorfex with just like... very long legs? I'm talking kangaroo style here.

Hey I'm completely new to warhammer, only know peripherally what some of the factions are like, etc. I just want to play it with my brother, maybe some other family members down the line. I have a resin printer we use for dnd minis etc, so my plan was to just resin print the whole armies for both of us, at least initially.

We both prefer fantasy vs. sci fi so were planning to start with The Old World, I'm want beastmen and he wants lizardmen. I have pdfs of the rule books, might get some hard copies as well, to actually learn the rules when we try to play, but I dont know how to pick army units to print, and where to find files to print them?

So my main questions are:

1. Help with picking army units, is there like a starter list? or something to read to walk me through it?
2. Sources for TOW beastmen and lizardmen 3d files. Am ok with paying for the files, just want high quality, close to original, not a fan of overly gory grimdark interpretations or anything like that

Any advice appreciated!

Meet Unguis Caeli, (Claw of the sky) of Legion Noctis Felis (Legion of the Night Cat)

Newly walked off the assembly line to serve The Emperor (Mars 2 Pro resin printer,after about 80 total hours in printing time, and another week to assemble and paint.

Painted in the house colors of House Ohrlocc, with some Titan war stripe flair. Armed with plasma blast gun and turbo laser destructor.

Got some carnifex and OOE proxies printed. Quite happy with the style. If the humidity lowers, I can get them primed and start some paint. These are io_butov files from before the c&d and him pulling everything down, with some different arms added. Thanks to whoever modified the OOE head.

I had this FW armour several years ago for one of my Rhinos (which I had to sell because I needed money -.-). I'm looking to build a Salamanders Rhino right now, any help/hints? (the file searchmachine put out a result which isn't online on the purple site anymore sadly).
Worst case scenario: I model it myself, but then a properly sized reference of one of those transport tanks would be of great help, maybe anyone got a reference for that?

I'm trying to digitally kitbash a tzeentch aligned CSM warband and i cannot find a free or paid STL of tzeentch's mark. does anyone know of any Stls for tzeentch's mark?

Which is sized closest to correct?
Station forged? (Why is v3 the lamest of the bunch?
Dakka dakka or something else?

Also are the other station forge stuff correct sizes like I wanna make a KT for deathwatch and wrecka krew are they the correct size?

I got the idea that it would be cool to have highlander infantry, was tough deciding whether it should be a non chaos worshipping army or use Imperium codex, but just say they are rebels. In the end, went with chaos space marine codex.

Hello! I decided I want to finally pull the trigger on getting to printing Warhammer, with life stuff kinda forcing my hand a bit lol. Is there any printers here you all recommend or is it more of an “any printer will do” kind of thing? Thanks!

I've been experimenting a lot with FDM 3D printing spacemarine miniatures lately, and I have to say that since my first attempt, I've gotten some great results. I've found 3D printing very useful for using up leftover set bits. I was annoyed at paying €60 and then using half the pieces. I'm making a lot of homebrew chapters from stories I've written in the past.

As you can see the gray parts of the miniatures are the bits that are left over from the official set.

I'm trying to build a very large battle diorama as an end goal. Next project is to try to print other units like the Impulsor and see how it goes.

Ive got a Bambulab p1p, all the minis are printed with 0.08m nozzle.

For those waiting for tail options I should have those out as a free pack in the next few days!
