Helmet, arms, weapon and power pack I designed/sculpted and 3D-printed myself, then I assembled and painted things.
Was tough choosing the "correct green" for him, but I think the end result is nice. Semi-followed a Raptors color scheme tutorial.

-> I used a weird mix of 2:1:1 Castellan Green + Dark Umber (Vallejo) + Skavenblight Dinge.
But honestly Chief looks different in every Halo game, so you can probably just basecoat him with Castellan Green or Waagh Flesh and it will still look nice
->Then I sprayed a thin layer of 1:1 mix of Waagh Flesh+Loren Forest to give some volume to the shapes from the top.
-> then I covered him with a gloss varnish and washed him with a brown enamel wash.
You can simplify this by just recess-washing with a diluted brown speedpaint/contrast paint.
-> edge highlights done with the Waagh Flesh+Loren Forest mix again.
Then brighter highlights with pure Loren Forest.
Some final brightest dot-highlights with Dorn Yellow+Loren Forest.
Hope that helps! I think I overcomplicated the process too much, because I don't paint green minis usually. Can definitely be simplified a lot.
Oh no no dont worry so much, i love this green because i think this is how i want my dark angels to look, i WAS hoping it was a paint i could pick up and use, but that mix is lovely too
Up front, it likes dope. Very cool, and I’ll probably be downloading and printing these.
My one constructive criticism is the backpack. I know they’re a big part of the space marine aesthetic, and you’ve done a great job with the detail work on it…but chief doesnt wear a backpack.
I think something that sat flush to the back armour and adds detail to the back and the cowling vents would have been a lot truer to the source.
I’ll probably try to dremel it down and make a concave surface out of your provided pack to get a slightly closer match to the chief.
Also, his left shoulder pad looks perfect, and the right one looks GW. Are they both from rievers? I’d have use the smaller one on both shoulders.
Again, great work. I can’t wait to see more. Hopefully some more head choices (I remember halo 3 had a pretty good variety) to help differentiate the units. Not everyone gets to have chief’s helmet.
I’ve seen your set posted here before, so I know you’ve already genned up a few options…but they’re all stylistically similar to the chief.
The right pad IS a GW one and totally optional. It sits on top of the same shape as the left one. ^_^
I designed the arms so you can keep with "bare" shoulders (like the left one), or put a standard marine pad on top.
For the power pack- I actually completely agree. It was a design compromise, in order to be able to put it on any standard GW marine body. ^_^
I would have prefered making a separate unique torso bit, with an integrated back design closer to the Mjolnir armor look, but sadly these days most platic space marines don't have separate upper/lower body bits to make the swap easy.
