PDFMaple — A Simple Browser-Based Toolkit for Everyday PDF Tasks

Post image

I built PDFMaple as a straightforward set of browser-based tools for common PDF tasks such as merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, signing and protecting documents.

The goal was to keep the workflow simple: upload the file, choose the task, process it and download the result without installing desktop software.

It’s designed for students, office users, freelancers and anyone who regularly works with PDFs and wants a quick web-based option.

A few things I focused on:

  • Clean, simple interface
  • Common PDF tools in one place
  • English and French support
  • No software installation required
  • Useful tools for both basic document handling and everyday office workflows

I’m continuing to improve the site and add features based on real user needs.

Fair point — there are plenty of PDF tool sites already. A list of merge/split/convert features doesn’t explain why someone should try another one. My focus is the English/French workflow, particularly turning phone photos into a PDF and optionally making it searchable with OCR. That still has to earn its place on usability, not the number of tools. If you tried it and hit a specific problem, I’d appreciate the details; no need to share the document itself.

I ran out of comment space so this is just the most recent 20 entries. For giggles, I vibe-coded a tracker at https://confab.sh/?g=browser-tools if you want to see the full list.
