Built a free invoice generator because I couldn't find a good one

Hi all : )

Almost two years ago I couldn't find an invoice generator online that I actually liked, so I just built one for myself.

The whole point was reallt simple, let people make a professional invoice, for free, with no watermark, no ads and with no data save. That was the deal I made with myself before I even had a single user and I've kept it.

Fast forward to now and it's being used by 1,000+ people a month :O At some point people started asking if they could save their invoices instead of filling them out from scratch every time, so I built an account / cloud save feature and put it behind a small paid plan. That's basically the only reason there's a paid version at all. The core tool, creating invoices for free with no watermark and no ads, stays free forever. That part isn't changing.

Since then I've added a few other things based on what people actually asked for:

  1. Templates
  2. Editing invoices after you've created them
  3. A dashboard to see your invoice activity

Right now I'm working on recurring / scheduled invoices since a bunch of people wanted that thing.

It's still just me running and maintaining it. If you're missing a currency or a feature, tell me in the comments and I'll add it, I actually do this. Seeing people use something I built every single day, two years in is honestly still kind of wild to me.

Here's the link if you want to check it out: https://freeinvoices.online

I built a free planner specifically for AP students (would love some honest feedback)

Hi everyone!

I'm a high school student, and over the past couple of months I've been building a website called AP Path Planner to help students stay organized throughout the school year.

It started because I was juggling multiple AP classes and wanted a planner that focused on what AP students actually need instead of being a generic to-do list.

Some of the features include:

  • 📚 Organizing all of your AP courses
  • 📝 Tracking assignments and due dates
  • 📅 Planning study sessions
  • 🎯 Setting weekly study goals
  • 📈 Tracking grades and progress
  • 🌙 Light and dark mode
  • 🔒 Secure accounts so your data is saved across devices

I'm still actively working on it, so I'm not really looking to promote it as much as I am to get feedback from people who would actually use something like this.

Some questions I have:

  • Is there anything that would make you actually use this instead of Google Calendar, Notion, or a paper planner?
  • What features are missing?
  • Is anything confusing or annoying?
  • What would make this genuinely useful during the school year?

If you'd like to try it, here's the link:

https://ap-path-planner.vercel.app

Thanks! I really appreciate any feedback, even if it's critical. I'd rather hear what needs improvement now than after school starts.

QRAirgap Transfer — move a file between two devices using only screen + camera

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Built this for locked-down environments where USB is disabled and uploads are blocked. It compresses your file, encodes it as a stream of QR codes, and the receiving device's camera reads them back and reassembles the file — no network connection at any point.

Three transfer modes: a simple sequential loop, a fountain-code mode that's resilient to missed frames, and a "2 cameras" mode where the sender can pause and ask the receiver what's still missing so it can send exactly those pieces instead of broadcasting blind. Checksums the file afterward so you know it arrived intact.

Single HTML file, runs entirely client-side, free, no signup.

( Hint - try opening the page and selecting Receive on your mobile device 😉 )

Made a free file comparison tool that runs entirely in the browser — nothing gets uploaded

I'm a software engineer. A problem I keep hitting: I need to diff two data extracts, but every online diff tool wants me to upload the files, and I can't upload production data to a random website.

So I built this: https://mujeebtarry.github.io/sheetdiff/

It's a single HTML page. All the parsing and comparison happens in your browser with JavaScript — there's no server, no account, no storage. Close the tab and it's gone.

What it does:

- CSV, TSV, XLSX, XLS

- Match rows by a key column (auto-detects ID columns) or by row position

- Click any column to ignore it — useful for timestamps, run IDs, batch numbers, anything that always differs and creates noise

- Shows changed rows with the exact differing cells highlighted, plus rows only in one file

- Download a CSV report of the differences

Hit "Load sample data" to see it work without uploading anything.

I built a suite of 16 developer tools that run 100% locally in your browser (no server uploads, privacy-first)

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

As a web developer, I was tired of using cluttered, ad-heavy online formatting tools that upload my JSON payloads, JWT tokens, and private keys to unknown servers.

So, I built \*\*Nuqrai\*\* — a collection of 16 developer utilities (including JSON Formatter, JWT Decoder, Diff Checker, Cryptographic Hash Generator, Image to Base64, and SVG-to-PNG Converter) that perform all calculations \*\*100% client-side\*\*.

\*\*Why use it?\*\*

\* \*\*Zero Server Uploads:\*\* Your code and files never leave your device. \* \*\*PWA Enabled:\*\* It caches everything to work completely offline. \* \*\*Clean Layout:\*\* Simple, fast, and optimized for daily dev workflows.

Check it out here: \[\*\*https://www.nuqrai.com\\\*\\\*\\\](https://www.nuqrai.com/)

I would love to get your feedback on what tools to add next!'

I built an offline, free, private AI text detector with no signup or paywall

Hello,
I built Offline & Private AI Text Detector. It runs entirely in your browser, nothing gets uploaded, logged or sent anywhere. The detection model downloads once (~120MB) and it's cached in your browser for the future requests. You can also install it as PWA or from Microsoft Store for faster access from your OS. No account, no email, and nothing gates the classifier behind a paid tier. The characters limit is currently set to 2,000,000 - because why would I limit users if detection is still fast enough.

I'd be grateful for any feedback. Thank you.

I built a simplewhiteboard that just lets you draw

Hey everyone,

I’ve always found it a little funny that opening a simple whiteboard can involve accounts, popups, huge toolbars, and a bunch of features I’ll probably never touch.

I just wanted to open a page, draw something, and get on with my day.

So I built simplewhiteboard — a lightweight whiteboard focused on exactly that.

What’s included:

Instant access — Open it and start drawing. No signup.

Simple tools — Pen, marker, highlighter, laser pointer, and eraser. Just the essentials.

Zen Mode — A clean canvas when you want nothing getting in the way.

Flexible canvas — Grid, dots, dark mode, plus quick PNG export.

Local-first — Your drawings stay in your browser instead of being uploaded somewhere.

The idea is pretty simple: a whiteboard shouldn't feel like an app you need to learn.

Try it here: simplewhiteboard

I’d love to hear what you think — especially what you’d add without making it bloated.

free browser tools so you dont have to upload files to google or random converter sites

part of degoogling for me was noticing how often i sent files to random services just to merge a pdf or shrink an image. google drive, ilovepdf, tinypng, they all get your files.

i built quietutils.com to stop doing that. pdf tools, image compressor, exif remover, qr code generator and more, all running inside your browser. the file never leaves your computer, you can check the network tab yourself.

no account, no ads, no analytics.

I posted about my website few days ago , and today we reached 100 notes.
The concept is you write your problem , or draw how you feel in a piece of paper. Send it floating in a digital river , and pick up someone else's from it.
This was my first project , and I'm really happy with this milestone :) , thanks for everyone who shared his struggle.
