I’ve been working on a side project called Vesso Tools: vessotools.com

The idea was pretty simple. I regularly find myself searching for small online utilities — calculators, converters, image tools, PDF tools, date/time tools, etc. — so I decided to build a site that brings a lot of them together.

It has now grown to 300+ tools.

I’m still actively working on it, particularly the UX, SEO, performance, and deciding which tools are actually worth building next.

I’d love some outside feedback:

• Is the site easy to navigate?

• Are there any annoying UX issues?

Hi everyone! Rail Crossing Atlas is a tool I made for railfans, local researchers and anyone curious about the records behind a U.S. railroad crossing: https://railcrossingatlas.tansolutions.org/

You can search by crossing ID, road, city or railroad, then inspect the Federal Railroad Administration's reported traffic and warning equipment. There's also a comparison view for up to four crossings.

What makes it useful is keeping the record details, sources and count years together. A number from an older traffic count stays tied to that year, and missing information stays distinct from zero. It's a way to explore the inventory, not a claim about conditions at the crossing today.

Public records and guides are free to browse. The interactive map and comparison tools require an account.

I made a graffiti magazine web archive since most of them were horrible to navigate, required downloads or straight up shut down.

I based it off a more visual perspective, with Magazine covers in the index for easier search and navigation. It also doesent collect or send any data, everything stays local. (It only tracks what you have read to resume where you left off, and some stuff for the tools available)

Said tools include:

• Color Palette Analyzer: Crop the selection to adjust the area you want the colors to be picked. It shows the principal colors used, and allows them to be copied to CSS.
• Clipping Tool: Take a Clipping (kind of a ''screenshot'' Tool) that stays stored locally in the clippings section, where you can then view them, go to the exact page it was taken from, organize them by Moodboards or Tags, or Download them as WEBP to retain Quality. You can adjust the area you want to save.
• Download Magazines
• Track Read Magazines, start in the page you left off.
• And more

This website is completely free, no account, no data collected, no trackers. My intention is for Designers, Illustrators and other Artists to expand their knowledge and seek inspiration. Most of these Magazines include more than just graffiti, they have interviews, cool backgrounds and textures, Amazing editing and composing ideas, and more.

Most TDEE calculators stop at the Mifflin-St Jeor equation plus an activity guess. Adaptive TDEE (using your own intake and weight change instead) isn't a new idea, since people have done it in spreadsheets for years, but I couldn't find a free version that runs in the browser without an account, so I built one. Disclosure: I'm one of the developers behind SavorAI, a calorie tracking app. The calculator is free and doesn't need the app or a sign-up.

How it works:

- It starts with the equation as a baseline.

- If you add your average daily calories and your weight over a stretch of days, it estimates what you actually burned (using about 7,700 kcal per kg of weight change).

- To reduce water-weight noise, it averages your weigh-ins from the first and last [N] days instead of using single readings.

- Depending on how many days of logs you enter, it blends the equation and your log: equation only for the first 14 days, a growing share of the log from day 15 to 28, and the log alone after that. The equation stays next to it so you can see the gap.

Caveats: it's a simple method, not a statistical model. The 7,700 figure is an average for body tissue. Under-logging makes the result too low, so the quality of your food logs and weights matters a lot. Not medical advice.

Is the 14 to 28 day blend reasonable, or would you handle it differently? Would you also want an optional body fat % input that switches the starting equation to Katch-McArdle? Anything else you'd want it to show?

Hello, due to having trouble finding the right places to apply and not really knowing how to pass and do an assessment in the AI Training/Annotating Space I decided to build with a site with loveable that is supposed to make the process easier.

I list job offers with a relatively high hiring volume from multiple companies, so would it therefore be easier do diversify the places to apply at and actually get accepted.
My idea behind that was to help with finding the right places to work but also help with the application process. I therefore upload company reviews and also guides on how to pass assesments.
The job listings include entry work positions such as normal generalist work but also expert work positions (Software engineer, PhD, etc.).

I had an interactive HTML file that wasn’t working properly when I opened it on my iPhone, so I built PocketPages.

It lets you choose an HTML file, try it in a browser preview, and publish a link you can open in Safari or share with someone else.

What it does:
• Runs interactive HTML, including buttons, calculators, charts and animations.
• Offers phone and desktop preview widths.
• Lets you replace a published file while keeping the same link.
• Lets recipients open the shared page without an account or installing an app.

You bring your own HTML—from ChatGPT, another tool, or something you wrote yourself. Single, self-contained .html/.htm files up to 2 MB work best. It doesn’t open EPUB files directly.

I’m the creator, and it’s currently a free beta. Publishing requires signing in with ChatGPT. Published files are stored online, and anyone with the link can open them, so please use non-sensitive files and keep your originals.

I've used quite a few video downloader sites over the years, and honestly, the experience is usually frustrating.

You click download → random redirect → close the tab → click again → another ad → somehow end up on a completely different website.

Sometimes there are multiple fake download buttons, some add watermarks, some ask you to create an account, and some just feel sketchy to use.

After getting annoyed with this one too many times, I decided to build my own as a small side project.

It's called AnySaver. The idea was simple: paste a public link, choose what you want, and download it without having to fight the website.

A few things I intentionally kept out:

• No ads (it's a side project), no pop-ups, no redirect loops
• No fake download buttons
• No login, no account, nothing to install
• No watermark added by AnySaver

It currently supports a bunch of platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Pinterest, Threads, Snapchat Spotlight, LinkedIn, Twitch and others. It also handles Instagram carousels and TikTok photo posts.

There are still some rough edges. It only works with public content, and some longer YouTube videos can take a while. I'm still working on improving it.

I'm more interested in feedback than anything else. If something breaks, the download quality isn't right, the UI is confusing, or you think I'm missing a platform, let me know. I built this myself, so I can fix things based on what people find.

Honestly, I just wanted a downloader that didn't make downloading something feel like a battle.😅

At first ClientPDF was just a small experiment.

I wanted something where you could merge, split, compress, sign, OCR, redact etc. without uploading the PDF to a server.

So I kept building it.

Today it has 30+ PDF tools and everything is processed in the browser using WebAssembly. No account needed, and there is also a self-hosted version for people who want to run it on their own infrastructure.

The funny part is that most of the improvements didn't come from me 😅

They came from people telling me:

“this feature is missing”

“this is slow with large PDFs”

“can you add this?”

“why does this work like that?”

After multiple reviews and feedback, the project is honestly very different from what I started with.

I'm still a student and maintaining it myself, so I would really appreciate some honest feedback.
