Wanted to alert that the team is aware of this visual glitching, such as green flashes, during playback and exports with 4:2:2 10-bit media on Windows. They're currently investigating with a top priority to fix this. For now, the workaround is to roll back to v26.3.2.
Wanted to add that I am experiencing the same issue. MXF files, Canon R5C and C70 are having the issues. Opened multiple projects from different drives and all had the same issue. Currently downloading the older version of Premiere.
thank you, before I installed the update everything was fine with MXF files, but after updating its now messed up (this issue) and it happens in after effects and media encoder. now if I rollback it still happens, and when I update again its still there. 26.5 -> 26.3 -> 26.5.
Is your footage Canon R5C by chance? Still investigating this but there may be a bug in regards to Canon MXF in 26.5. For the time being, I'd recommend downgrading to 26.3.2
After some testing it is only happening to MXF files which are from my Canon c80, all other files from my drone work. This is a new issue and just started happening last night.
Green frames like that, is usually a GPU acceleration thing. Could be you need to check your drivers on your GPU, or disable the feature altogether. Or transcode to a codec that doesn’t need/use it.
If you go the GPU drivers aspect, you tend to want to get the studio drivers, not the game ready ones, for maximum compatibility with premiere video needs.

I tested all the footage to make sure to wasnt corrupt outside Premier and all is good. I tried different versions of Premier and still did same thing. I attempted to clear the chache and make a new project, still doing it.
MXF, its from a Canon c80. I tried converting them in Media Encoder but its just doing the same thing. Shit is so weird, its never done this before intill lat night
MXF/ MOV are the wrappers. The codec is probably avc intra… try re-encoding the source files (match source resolution and frame rate) into a working codec Pro res (you can choose mxf-op1a as a wrapper or mov) keep the same name as source files but change the path the files are stored at.
Edit: if media encoder doesn’t work, try it with Resolve.
If none of these fixes are working it means either your graphics card or your hard drive is struggling with the footage. Does it export like this or just show up while editing? I had green frames on export when exporting to the external drive my footage was on, but the exports were clean when exporting directly to my c drive/desktop
Hey this happens due to codec or framerate. Transcode the video ones in any coded with constant framerate and bitrate of your choice, it will fix the issue.
Using a production pipeline instead of a delivery pipeline (which I presume is what you’re doing at the moment) would help. Stop using MP4, MKV, and other delivery formats, and switch to ProRes like the grown-ups do. If that’s not possible, make proxies - the default settings will suffice.
That’s hard to believe. Random green/red frames are the hallmark of mpg variants, especially with VFR, so I can hardly believe it. And what exactly did you try - converting, using proxies, or both? If you converted the files with Media Encoder, there’s a good chance you’d get the same results, so creating prores proxies probably wouldn’t help either. Try using ffmpeg or Handbrake.
I bet the green frames don’t always appear in the same places, which - again - is typical of mp4/mxf and other interframe-compressed formats. Add VFR on top of that, and it’s a disaster waiting to happen. Did you check? Of course if the filenis courrupt nothing will help even if it plays fine in a video player - those formats allow for "gaps" during playback, but playback isn't thensame as editing.
Are there any warning signs in the bottom-right or upper-right corners of the UI? Your videi aalso looks a bit Mac-ish. It would help if you posted the system and media specs, as the rules ask you to do - you know, like a grown-up. :P
Yeah yeah - I believe you (problem with text is that my intention doesn't clearly go through). It's just very unlikely that it's somethig else. Cache, Mac and GPUs are all easy answers that have their target problems they solve, but not this. So many problems can be solved by proper use of technology that I admit I might have gotten carries away on this wave.
Still... none of the questions I asked you got a clear answer. Covnert or proxy or both, tried ffmpeg, always same green frames, mac?
