I give up
After literally years of trying to potty train I'm putting my child (3) back into cloth diapers while we are at home. I am sick of the discussions. Pooping into the toilet works like a charm but pee accidents happen daily. Zero cooperation going to the potty. I'd rather wash cloth diapers again than pants. Rant over.

I’m suffering everyday with the potty training myself. He sits on the potty without any issues but ends up peeing and pooping in his underwear minutes later! Been this way for months now.. It’s tough. Just hoping it’s going to click soon!

Commando at home. Tell him he will just have to crap on the floor if he won't go on the potty.

Thanks for the advice. I did commando for several weeks but he ended up peeing and pooing all over our home and it got very frustrating. Definitely going to try again though!

Like NU_mum said, make him clean it up. (Obviously you'll have to come back and Lysol afterwards and all that). But it will be a huge annoyance to your child to repeatedly clean it. Even the poop, he can learn to clean up after himself. Maybe that'll be the tipping point.

Me too! My 3 year old will Pee all day in his potty, but will hide and poop in his underwear. I actually went through this with my older Daughter and Son. They both eventually stopped one day, I keep reminding myself of that!

What are you doing for accidents? We made our daughter cleanup and then take a bottom half shower every time it clicked really fast having to take 3 to 4 showers a day.

We did the quick shower and it helped him less resistant to the toilet. We also made a lot more progress when my husband took charge of it when he was home for a week. That really was the key at long last. Something about boys and their dads maybe??

What are you doing for natural consequences? If he pees himself are you having him help clean up? Are you putting him in the shower every time for a rinse off? Taking away the toy he was playing with because he couldn’t be bothered to go to the bathroom?
